3rd Person POV

It was a nice afternoon in Okinawa today. And a girl with (h/l) (h/c) can seen walking by the shore. Her name is Hijikata (Y/n).

Whenever nice days such as this one came, the (h/l)nette would always take a walk by the beach, enjoying the sounds of the crashing waves, the flock of seagulls cawing and the view of the beautiful ocean as it shimmered from the rays of the sun.

She continued walking. Letting her feet touch the warm sand and the splash of the ocean water. A cool breeze hits her face as her hair flowed in the wind gently. She took a deep breath - inhaling the salty smell of the sea while humming a little tune to herself.

Her gaze fell on the ocean. Staring at the horizon where the sky and the sea met.

She continued to stare at it. Taking in the beauty of the view. It's always her favorite part of the day.

The sky painted with orange, purple, yellow, and pink. The sea reflecting the painted sky. The bright sun slowly dispersing out of sight. And the sky gradually growing darker and darker.

As the sun finally disappeared out of sight, the female walked back home. Knowing she would get scolded for being out so late from her Raiden - Her older brother.

(Y/n)'s POV

I got back home and saw that Raiden-nii (brother) was playing with everyone in the back.

I called out to them, getting their attention, "Everyone! I'm back!"

"Welcome back nee-chan!!/onee-chan/(Y/n)-nee!!" My younger siblings yelled and ran over to me.

"Welcome back, Kiddo!!" A familiar pink-haired surfer walked over and ruffled my hair, "Went to the beach again?"

"Yup! The sunset was great today!!" I cheered, "So, what did you do today, Jousuke? More surfing?"

"Yup! The waves were awesome today!" Jousuke continued to talk about the waves he surfed.

Tsunami Jousuke - A friend of mine at I met at the beach a few months back. We became pretty good friends and he would come over at times too. Of course, whenever he does we would tell Gouenji-san and he would go to the beach to avoid him and to practice there too.

"You sure love surfing don't ya, Tsunami? Nice to see you having enthusiasm for something!!" Raiden-nii gave a strong smack to his back, maybe even too strong as Jousuke was rubbing the part that was hit... "But before that we get any further into the topic..." He then walked over to me with a less than pleased face..

'Here it comes...'

"(Y/n)... Why are you back so late?! It's dangerous outside at this hour, not to mention with Aliea Academy still going around and you know it!!" He scolded.

"Yes, I know. I'm sorry but I just had to go!! And I have no regrets! The view was extra beautiful today~!" You said cheerily. Raiden-nii sighs in defeat.

"Haha! You can't stay mad at (Y/n)-chan for too long huh, Hijikata? Is this the power of being a little sister?" Jousuke joked.

"Maybe~" I followed.

The rest of the day passed on by like usual. Eating dinner together while chatting about what happened today and plans for tomorrow. It have surely gotten more lively ever since Jousuke joins us.

Dinner soon ended and Jousuke went back to his place. Meanwhile Gouenji-san sneaked inside through the back and have his share of dinner.

After finishing washing the dishes and cleaninh up, I headed back to my room.

Midway there, I saw a silhouette of someone through the window. I squint my eyes to see who it was but then next moment I blinked...

'They're gone?! Was it just my imagination? Maybe I'm just tired...'

The full moon shine bright in contrast to the dark starry sky and all of us have gone to bed. Although, I couldn't fall asleep. My mind was clouded by the thought of that silhouette earlier.

'Who was that? It was clearly a person.. By the looks of it, they look like they're my age... But why in the world would anyone be out there at that hour?'

My thoughts continued to wander off until I heard a peculiar noise. I looked out the window and saw smoke from the nearby forest. I stared at it curiously to see what have happened, but my sight was blocked from the trees surrounding the area.

Curiosity finally took over me as I sneaked out of my room and headed out. Once I got out of the house, I raced to the direction of where the smoke was.

Reaching there, the combination of the smoke and mist blocked my vision as I continued to wander in further. Suddenly, the sound of a branch breaking alerted me and I swing my head back to see the same silhouette from earlier.

I tried to call out to them but they immediately ran away. Leaving my all by myself as I try to chase after them.

"Hello? Are you there?!" I called out, only to be met with silence. "Guess not.. I should be heading bac- " I cut myself off as realization hit me like a truck, "Wait.. Where am I?"

'I have never venture this far into the woods. So that means.. I'M LOST!!' I started to panic as I desperately try to find a way to get out. I walked through the woods slowly, fearing that something might suddenly pounce on me.

My breath hitched as I hear the bushes behind me rustling. My body trembled as I glanced behind me to see a dark shadow.

"AAAAAHHHHH!!!!" I screamed and ran away from my original position as fast as my legs could take me. As I ran, foot steps can be heard behind me. Whatever that thing is, it's chasing me!

I looked back every now and then only to see that 'thing' was still following me.

'It's fast!!'

I kept running and running. And when I wasn't looking in front of me... A cliff magically appeared and I fell in.

I shut my eyes tightly as I screamed for dear life and waited for my inevitable death, but instead of pain, I felt a tight grip on my wrist.

I looked up and saw a boy trying to pull me up. I couldn't see their face because they were wearing a hoodie.

I finally felt my feet touching solid land again and I took deep breaths. The boy bent down, holding his knees trying to catch his breath as well. I looked up at him and stared at his now uncovered face.

Light grey, white-ish hair - Like snow. His teal colored eyes and pale skin. He have a pretty slim figure as well. They make him look kinda feminine... In a good way.

I calmed down and breathed out, "Tha-thank you... for saving me..."

"No problem..." He replied. His voice also sounds rather feminine, "Next time, you shouldn't run in the dark. Especially in the woods. It was pain chasing after you." He lectured me with a snappy tone.

"Wha-?! So you were the one chasing me! And besides, that wasn't my fault! Anyone would run when they're lost in the woods at night and was chased by a dark figure!! I was horrified!!"

"I was chasing after you to warn you of the cliff! But then you ran off even faster." He sighs and his brows furrowed while looking down at me.

I looked back. Now that I'm taking a better look at him, he looks pretty good, "So, what your name? Mine's Hijikata (Y/n). Just call me (Y/n)."

"Hmph, why should I tell you my name?"

"Well, I thought it would be good to at least know the name of my savior." A tick mark appeared on my forehead. His stubbornness is irritating.

He clicked him tongue before replying, "Fuusuke. Suzuno Fuusuke." He crossed his arms and leaned onto a nearby tree.

"Well, nice to meet you Suzuno. And if you don't mind me asking, why in the world are you in the woods at this hour?" I questioned him.

"I could be asking the same to you."

"Hah.. So stubborn. Fine, I came here because I heard a weird sound earlier. So I though, maybe you did too and know something about it." I huffed.

"Hmm... Well, you're right. I did too." He said flatly. I can tell however,

'He's lying. That's not the reason. Is he trying to hide something?'

I grew slightly suspicious but brushed it off. Asking him about it would make him suspicious of me, "I see. Do you live nearby? I don't think I've seen you around here.." I asked.

"Ah... That, I- Just moved here recently." He stuttered slightly.

'Another lie, huh? Might as well play along with it.'

"Oh, maybe I can show you around next time. And speaking of showing around... Do you happen do know they way out of the woods? I'm kinda lost..." I asked, slightly embarrassed.

"You live here and yet don't know the way out? How dumb," He spat. A tick mark made it's way onto my forehead as I was about to spat back at him, "But yes. I do know the way."

He started walking away and leaving me behind, "Do you want to get out the woods or not?" He looked back at me.

"O-of course I am!" I stumbled up and followed behind him.

The walk was pretty quiet with some little chat about each other every now and then.

"We're here." I looked and saw my house in the distance, "That's your place, isn't it." It sounded more like a statement than a question.

"Yea, it is. Thanks for showing me the way back, Suzuno. How about you? Where do you live?" I asked him out of curiosity.

"I live not too far from here," He replied, "Why do you ask?"

"Since you live close by, maybe we can hang out tomorrow! I can show you all the good spots around here." I offered.

"Ah- You don't have to-" He tried to decline.

"Come on, I'll be fun~ maybe Clara can come along, too!" I pushed even further. He said earlier during our chat that he have a little sister named Clara.

It looks like he was about to decline again but after looking at me once more, he finally gave in agreed to my offer.

"Great! Then I'll see you tomorrow in the park at 10, okay?" He nodded and I ran back home.

Once I got back home, I sneaked back inside and into my room before slipping back inside the comfort of my bed.

'Where should I take him first tomorrow? Maybe I can take him to see the flower gardens i the park... Or maybe the that spot at the beach!' A few ideas filling my mind as I grew excited for tomorrow. Until a certain thought crossed my mind and stopped all other the others.

'Wait... Now that I think about it... How did he know where I live? Could he be... No way. Why would he even do that?'

Exhaustion finally caught up with my body as I felt my eyes growing heavy and I eventually fell asleep.

Morning came fast and I woke up and got ready to meet Suzuno. I decided to wear (c/o/c) and head out.

"Morning, (Y/n)!" Raiden-nii greeted, "Going out?" He asked, guessing from my clothes.

"Yup. Don't worry, I'll be back before it gets dark. Bye!!" I reassured and headed out.

I soon reached the park and saw the familiar teen sitting down on a bench while looking at his watch.

"Sorry too keep you waiting!!" I shouted and ran towards him.

"Tch, took you long enough."

"It's only a few minutes after 10. If you came earlier than that then that's your own fault. Now come on! There's a lot of places I want to show you!!" I grabbed his hand and ran towards the first stop.

Fuusuke's POV

(Y/n) linked our hands and ran, pulling me along. I was glad that I was behind her to cover up the redness spreading up my face.

We soon reached the first destination, "A cafe?" I questioned as we walked inside. The interior looked modern and the place had a calming atmosphere. We got a table and ordered our food.

"So what do think pf the place? Pretty nice, right? They opened up recently and became really popular." She asked and took a bite of her (f/f).

"It's not bad.." I replied plainly and took a sip of my drink.

"Good to know! Maybe we can bring Clara next time!!"

"'Next time' you say?" I question.

"Yeah! Next time! There's no way I can possibly show you all the good spots in one day!"

'You're telling me I have to deal with this girl for the next few days... You've got to be kidding me. Hah.. At least this way I can get somewhat keep an eye on him...' I sighed and we headed to the next destination after finishing our food.

The day went better than I expected. I even found myself enjoying it. (Y/n) wasn't as annoying me as I thought she is. Time passed by quickly and now it was already afternoon.

"There's one more place I want to show you. I think you'll like it." She smiled and I followed her until we reach the last spot - The beach.

"The beach? I've seen it already. If it's only this then i'm going bac-"

"No idiot. Take a look." She pointed towards the ocean. I looked over and saw the sun slowly setting, and I must admit, the view was breath taking.

"Changed your mind? Told you it's good." A smirk on her face.

"Yeah.. It's really good, I like it." I smiled and continued to stare at the sunset. As a small gasp was heard and I looked back to see her face holding a shock expression, "What's wrong?"

"No... It's just... That's the first time today you actually said that you liked a place and..." She smiled as I felt my heart pound faster seeing her smile,

"You smiled. You should smile more often, you look really good with one!"

I felt my face flush and turn head away quickly, "D-do you have any idea what you're saying... Idiot..." I muttered.

"Did you say something, Suzuno?"

"No, it's nothing! A-anyways, I should be heading back now.. It's getting late.."

"Ah! You're right! I have to go back soon or else Raiden-nii's going to scold me again! Well, it was nice hanging out with you, Suzuno! I'll see you tomorrow!! Bye!" She said and quickly ran back to her home.

"W-wait! What do you mean..." She's too far to hear me, "By tomorrow..." I sighed and head behind a huge boulder nearby.

"Honestly, what a troublesome girl she is." I sighed and took out a black soccer ball and kicked in high in the air and a bright light enveloped me, teleporting me back to Aliea Academy base and now wearing my Diamond Dust uniform.

"But... I suppose she isn't too bad..." I muttered to myself and walked in the hallways until I heard a familiar annoying voice.

"Heeh~ Who is? Mind telling me?" A certain fiery red-head slung his arm over my shoulder, a smirk plastered on his face, "Gazel."

"That's non of your business," I glared at him, "Burn."

"Cold as always I see." Burn mocked and walked in front of me towards the field, "By the way," He stopped and looked back at me, "You should stay away from that girl. She's going to get in our way." He said before continue walking.

"I don't need you out of all people telling me something so obvious." I spat back before also heading towards my room.

Ding!

My phone vibrated and I took it out and saw a message.

From: Hijikata (Y/n)

To: Suzuno Fuusuke

Title: Again Tomorrow?

Hey Suzuno! Sorry I went back in such a rush earlier. I don't really have anything to do tomorrow so if You're free. Want to hang out again? emoji

It says. I know that I'm not suppose to meet up with her. That she'd get in my way sooner or later. I should reject the offer and yet...

To: Hijikata (Y/n)

Title: (Blank)

Sure. I'll be waiting at the beach at 10.

I typed and pressed the 'Send' button before turning off my phone and head to my room.

(Y/n)'s POV

A week or two have passed since then. During that, Endou and his friends came over. Tsunami and Hijikata have been playing soccer a lot with them too. While I spent my time hanging out with Suzuno.

We've been spending lots of time together and honestly, it was really fun. We opened up to each other and I even saw him smiling more.

It was noon at the moment and I of course was with Suzuno. We were just talking when I tripped over a pebble.

Suzuno bent down to help me up, "You can be so clumsy at times (Y/-" His movement stopped and he stared at my knee, "How did you get that cut?"

I looked towards where he was looking and stuttered, "Oh... I f-fell down earlier..."

"Don't lie. What happened?" Genuine concern was laced in his voice.

"The Flame Striker..."

"What does Flame Striker have to do now? (Y/n) tell me, what happe-" He immediately went silent and and his bangs covered his eyes when I said the following,

"... was actually someone from Aliea Academy... We thought he was the Flame Striker so we devised a test for him. It got a bit out of hand after the match... He kicked a black ball and there was huge gusts of wind... Some of us got hurt from the match and some from the wind. I was watching the match, so I fell and got hurt when the wind hit my direction..."

"What did he look like?" He asked sounding irritated.

"What're you talking about, Suzuno? Are you okay?" I grew slightly uncomfortable.

"Just answer the question! What did this fake Flame Striker look like?" His tone got louder and sounded cold and demanding. I've never seen this side of him... It's scary...

Startled, I answered him, "H-he had crimson hair and gold colored eyes..." An angry expression erupted from him.

"Sorry (Y/n), I have to go now. I have something I need to do." He walked away, a deadly glint in his eyes, leaving me there alone.

Ryouhei: This is the first time you made a two-shot..

Tori: Yea, hehe~ The story that I imagined was longer than I expected so I decided to split it into two parts.

Ryouhei: The next chapter will continue the following part.

Tori: Yup, this was part one and it was pretty long already... If I made this into a one-shot it actually might've of taken nearly 5000 words...

Ryouhei: That's a huge amount... *sweat drop*

Tori: Haha~ Yea, it is. But I'm pretty proud of this one. The second part will be published soon. I'll try to publish it by next week at max.
