Chapter 4
I keep walking until I'm at the very base of the castle. The door is surprisingly small and is decorated by two brass knockers that look like dog paws. I pick up a knocker and let it fall. The sound of metal on wood echoes and almost immediately I hear scratching. Like a dog running on hardwood flooring.
"One moment, hold on, DOWN CEREBUS. Shoo! Persephone dear we have one more for dinner." says a deep masculine voice.
"Sorry Eve. Didn't mean to make you wait. Oh look at you all grown up, you look just like your mother!" a tall man says when he opens the door. This man, is wearing some sort of weird robe and has a golden laurel on his dark black hair. Golden laurels are only supposed to be for the Gods and their servants, like priestesses and such. So either this man is breaking a sacred law, or he has some connection to a God. Wait. Did he say Persephone...dear? Persephone is married to Hades and if the man in front of me called her 'dear', then... this must be...
