03 | Paisley

"Do you know what you're going to do?" Artemis questions as we lean against the row of lockers. We look down the hallway as it fills with students.

We'd come in early today, prepared to start our mission.

I shake my head. "I don't know yet."

"We've been over this." Reid nods down the hallway. "Think of him as any other teenage boy, all they want is a cute girl to have sex with."

I look at him deadpan. "Do you want to have sex with me?" I question and his eyes wanders from our targets and focuses on me, looking up and down my body.

"No offence, but you don't have the mechanisms I'm looking for." He shakes his head and looks down the hall again, "He does." He nods at the boy coming out of a classroom, curly brunette hair falling into brown eyes.

"Exactly." I whisper, looking back at Alessio, narrowing my eyes, and pursing my lips. My eyes go to the curly haired boy, Danny. "So go get him." I smirk as a plan formulates.

"Danny?" Reid questions, not tearing his eyes from the boy.

"Yes." I start to walk, feeling both Reid and Artemis follow me.

When we get closer, I fall back and pull Artemis with me, we both watch as Reid continues to walk.

He stops in front of the boy and smiles, saying something. The boys cheeks warm and he nods before walking away.

"He swings for the other team, but he still plays ball." Artemis whispers beside me as we watch Reid disappear down the hall. Following behind a certain boy. I roll my eyes.

"Ready?" I hush.

"For what?"

"Trip me."

"Okay." She shrugs and sticks her foot slightly in front of mine and I tumble toward the ground.

"Oh shit." She whispers, her hands reaching for me.

Hands hook under my arms and I'm pulled into someone's chest, their strength stabilising me.

I glance up, blinking as I make eye contact with startling blue ones.

"Sorry." I breathlessly whisper, pushing myself up and away from Alessio.

"Are you okay, Paisley?" Artemis plays her part, looking at me in alarm.

"I'm fine." I whisper, remaining eye contact and forcing my cheeks to redden slightly.

"Are you sure?" He whispers and I nod, silence taking over before he shakes his head. "Good" he turns and walks away.

I open my mouth and glance at Artemis.

"What the-" she whispers.

It might be a bit harder than I expected. How do you seduce a teenage boy?

Okay so it was a lot harder than I expected.

I breathe out a puff of air and take my seat in the classroom, laying my head on the desk in exasperation.

A knuckle knocks against my desk and I glance up with dead eyes.

"What?" I ask the boy who is turned in his seat to look at me.

"There's a party at my house, tonight." He slips me a piece of paper "Everyone's invited." He turns back in his seat, not waiting for an answer.

I'm not going to a party.

I grind my teeth and stuff the paper in my pocket as the teacher comes in, sitting his brief case on the ground.

"Welcome students, please take your seats if you haven't already." He lifts a brow behind me.

He opens his briefcase and furrows his brows.

"Crap." He glances up at us. "I'll be back, stay in your seats." He leaves the classroom in a hurry.

The chatter that begins causes a headache to form behind my eyes and I rub my temples.

The door opens seconds later and Alessio enters. Eyes wandering the classroom, bypassing mine before finding an empty seat.

The students around go silent as he wanders past their seats. Their eyes wide with either questions or reverence.

"Oi! Alessio, party at mine." The boy in front of me stands up and shoves the paper into Alessios' chest. They keep eye contact for a second before the boy sits back down with a dark smirk. Alessio catches the paper before crumbling it in his fist, grinding his teeth. "I'll be there." He grunts and stalks to the back of the classroom.

"I know." The party boy mutters with the smirk still on his lips, watching as Alessio takes a seat.

I narrow my eyes between the two of them as Alessio takes a seat. Finally his eyes catch mine, a foreign emotion passing the blue depths before he masks it. He looks down at the table absentmindedly, shoulders slumping before he straitens.

Guess I'm going to a party.

He jaw tenses and he glances back up, making eye contact with me. His feature lightening as if he made a decision on something.

"Alessio." Part boy say quietly, gruffly.

Alessios face darkens and he looks at the boy, "Jackson."

I look up at Jackson and catch his eyes on me. He smiles boyishly but I don't return it, blinking at him.

"Will you be at the party?"

I keep my silence for seconds. Some part of me thrilled at the fact his face turn more uncomfortable as the time passes. His smiles turns strained.

"Maybe."

He smiles, the tension is his cheeks leaving. "Well then, maybe I'll have some fun after all."

The teacher chooses that moment to return. He walks over to his desk and slams a stack of papers on it.

"Let's begin"

Let's not.

I take a seat at the middle table of the cafeteria. Knowing it will give me attention from the popular group and hopefully Alessio and Enzo. The disregard for the popular groups influence causes eyes to turn my way.

I don't let their gazes affect me. Nobody ever got what they wanted by sitting around doing nothing.

And if I want to grab Alessios attention, I have to grab it. What better way than encroaching on his territory?

"You're in our seat."

I spin slowly and glance at the boys behind me, two of their faces I recognise. I don't look at the two, keeping my gaze pinned on the obvious alpha, Jackson.

"Am I?" I question lazily, straddling the seat so I can see them without having my back to them.

"Yes." A boy growls, standing at the right of Jackson.

"It's fine." Jackson looks at me with a smirk. "She can stay." He takes a seat beside me and I have to force myself not to crinkle my nose in disgust.

"See." I look back at the boy. "I can stay." I smirk and put my back to him but don't let my guard down as the rest of the group take their seats. I watch Enzo and Alessio from the corner of my eyes as they take a seat. Enzo glares at me as Alessio flicks his eyes dismissively, though I don't miss the curiosity in the gaze.

Harley appears and sits beside them. Smiling uncomfortably as Jackson demands she sit by him. His hands slides beneath the table and she jumps in fright, trying to sidle away.

I squeeze my fist to stop from grabbing his arm and rip it from her.

Enzo growls under his breath, glaring at the arm ad Alessios jaw clenches and unclenches in anger.

Jackson winds his arm around Harley and pulls her in. "C'mon Harls, we're friends aren't we." He emphasizes friends and she flinches, eyes downcast.

She doesn't answer.

"You're father-"

"Yes, we are friends." She cuts him off. He smirks as if won a battle before letting her go. She scoots to the other side, closer to Enzo.

He glares at Enzo as Alessio whispers something to her. She shakes her head, face stricken and sad.

Jackson looks at me, "Are you coming to my party?"

I have to admit, he's cute but he's only collateral damage. There is also something distinctly wrong about him.

"Are my friends allowed to come?"

"Everyone's invited."

"Maybe." I give him the same answer as class.

"What can I do to convince you to come?"

"Jackson, leave her alone." Alessios' deep voice interrupts.

"Stay out of this." Jackson grins insincerely and looks back at me. "What can I do?" He questions again, slower.

I shrug and look at Alessio before back at Jackson. "I'll come, tonight right?"

"Yeah, did you need a date?"

It's a party, not a wedding.

I look at him with a smirk, stroking a finger up and down his arm, he leans forward smirking.

I look deeply into his eyes, drawing him in and he leans forward slowly, smirking.

"I think I'll manage." I whisper as his lips get closer to mine and pull back, standing from my seat.

"See you tonight." I throw over my shoulder as I walk away. Not looking back until I walk through the door and catch blue eyes staring at me before the double doors slam shut.
