That drink was milder than the ones that he was used to, so Chan could converse properly that afternoon. Sipping on the lemon spritz in his hold, he looked over at the long-haired friend by his side on one of the stools in front of that bar counter. "I'm telling you," he said, sipping again. "I know it's him- I'm sure it's him."
"But why do you care so much?" The other male huffed as he tasted some of his own passionfruit drink, equal in title as Chan's. "If he was just a one-night stand as you say, why bring anything back up?"
"Okay, listen. I went to that café for the first time since I got here, right? And I had a hangover, yet I still recognized him. I was drunk that night, yet I still recognized him today. I mean come on, Hyunjin, isn't this a sign or something?" Chan ranted quietly, palms lifting to emphasize the seriousness in his words but, a deep sigh flaring his nostrils at the audible snicker that sounded as a response from the other's lips. "You're laughing, and I'm serious."
"Chan you're too old for this." The blonde male, Hyunjin, spoke again, chuckling before gulping down another portion of his beverage. "Okay, I'll tell you what. Describe him for me, let me see if I've seen him or know him anywhere."
"It's not about that, Jin. I know what I'm sensing..." Chan opposed his friend's first line before organizing a flow of descriptive words for the question, sipping on the remainder of his drink and humming as he parted his lips to give proper details. "Uh... let's see. He's about my height, has the prettiest freckles I've ever seen honestly, and I think his name is Felix."
"No way."
"What?"
"Felix?" Hyunjin's eyes widened, head shifting to quickly nod at the bartender as she came up to take both their drinks away, as well as collect the shared bill that they had rested next to the empty glasses on the counter. "Felix with the deep and soothing voice? That Felix?"
"Y-yeah..." Chan arched a brow at the way his friend defined the mentioned waiter in such a casual manner as if he knew him to be more than just a stranger. "You know him or something?"
"Well, no shit." Hyunjin chuckled, sighing. "He comes over to my house now and then. Seungmin, is a good friend of his boyfriend, and so they visit sometimes."
"Oh..."
"Yeah, he has the cutest little boy; the name's Kai. And they're just nice people in general." Hyunjin shrugged, resting an elbow against the counter to face his friend more comfortably. "I'd tell him about you but that'd make things unnecessarily awkward, so if you want to be friends with him or something, you should make the first move."
"Hm..." Chan hummed, looking down at his feet as they stayed propped against one side of the barstool. "He has a family I see- that's nice. How old is his little boy?"
"He's three, and you want to know the cutest part?"
"What is it?"
"His and Changbin's anniversary is the same date as Kai's birthday." Hyunjin giggled at the memory, almost ready to squeal like a child if it weren't for the fear of judgment from the public. "So yeah, they're nice- a really nice little family."
"Alright well, I wouldn't wanna intrude or get his boyfriend jealous or anything like that, so I guess I'll hold my end." Chan shrugged, pouting. "Anyways, you ready to head out?"
"Okay but, what's up with you all of a sudden? Something wrong?" Hyunjin too, spread a small frown, taking Chan's hand into his for a soft squeeze as they made their way out of the somewhat fancy restaurant.
I can't have kids, Chan thought, but of course, he could not say it- could not make another person aware of his seemingly darkest and most shameful secret. "It's nothing," he said instead, forcing a small smile. "I'm just tired, and when I get home, I have to finish up this financial report to have it ready by Monday."
"Or you just don't wanna be in contact with Amy...?"
"That too- that most. Fuck her." Chan groaned with his words, rolling his eyes as if the woman's unsettling presence was in close proximity with his suddenly uneasy one.
"Why don't you just leave her?" Hyunjin inquired cautiously, sighing as he entered the passenger's seat of Chan's white SUV. "You're an adult, you know. You don't have to do everything that your mother says."
"Yeah..."
"Chan."
"Hm?"
"Leave her. Your happiness is worth more than pleasing your mother and dead father. Yours and Amy's parents' relationship have nothing to do with your life, so take this step for yourself, and leave her." Hyunjin cautioned softly, lifting one hand to stroke Chan's knee so reassuringly as said male started up the engine. "Be happy, okay?"
"I'll try..."

"I don't know how to tell Binnie." Felix sniffled, nuzzling his face further into his best friend's clothed chest. "I don't know what to do- I really don't know what to do."
"Lix, look at me." The other male, Minho, spoke up in the most soothing tone, its level of reassurance urging Felix to look up despite his reluctance. "Are you absolutely sure that he is the father?"
"He was the only person I slept with after months, Min-Min. And I wasn't pregnant before, so I'm sure... I think I'm sure." Felix sniffled, rubbing a fist over his eye before leaning against Minho's chest again. "I can't just tell him- I can't just go up to him and be like he has a child... I can't."
"Think about Kai, Felix. You can do a DNA test..." Minho cautioned carefully, drawing circles along the blonde's back in an attempt to calm his muffled sobs. "Yes, he has Changbin, and nothing has to change. But still, if there is an opportunity for him to meet his real dad, don't rid him of it. I'm sure that Changbin wouldn't mind..."
"I don't know..."
"You wanna talk to him first? Find out if it's really him?" Minho hummed, kissing the top of Felix's head and ruffling the fluffy strands soon after. "And you don't have to worry, you don't have to push anything if you never cross paths again."
"Mhm... I guess so... I guess so..." Felix sniffled, again, looking up to plant the softest, brotherly kiss on Minho's cheek. "Thank you... for always being there for me."
"Of course, Lix. Always. Just like you're always there for me... There for the breakup... There for everything." Minho pouted subtly with that line, quickly shaking his head to rid all of the painful memories that were threatening to come back.
"Mhm... But you still haven't told me why you two broke up...?"
"Loved somebody else..."
"Hm? Sungie loved someone else?"
"Yeah..."
"Who?"
"Don't worry about it... The person's taken and, I don't want to think about it." Minho forced a low chuckle, groaning as he shifted in his seat for Felix to get up. Standing, he headed for the kitchen, collecting two popsicles from the freezer before carrying one over to the younger. "Here, it's a hot day." He mumbled, opening his own's package. "Let's watch a movie or something to ease the air before Bin and Kai get back."
"Okay... thank you."
