He hated him. Kid watches you converse with Law from across the courtyard. No, he envied Law. Kid rubs at his face with a slight growl to keep his demonic nature down. It was getting harder to control himself. He wanted you, but, he knew he didn't deserve you.
"Hey Kid, are you okay?" Your voice makes him pause and look up.
"Hey, yeah I'm good, ready to go?" He rumbles getting up.
"Mhm... You know, you should come tonight too." You smile. Kid blinks down at you before looking to the side.
"Nah," He shakes his head. He didn't want to see you two together.
"Right... That was a dumb thing to say..." You mutter. There was that conflicted look on your face again. It's been appearing a lot lately, though he was curious, he wouldn't ask what was going on in your head. Mostly because he probably wouldn't know how to help anyway.
"Come on, lets get you ready for that dance." He smiles, leading the way. Whatever makes you happy he'll help with.
You follow after him quietly, watching his shoulders. You kinda felt disappointed that he wasn't going. He's been so sweet lately and you wanted to do something for him. "Oh... Maybe tomorrow night we can go to an ice cream store."
"They have a store just for ice cream?" He slows down to look at you curiously.
"Yeah, they have ice cream cakes too." You shrug.
"Cake!? Why didn't you tell me about that sooner?!" He gasps excitedly. You giggle at his reaction.
"Sorry, I just thought of it." You smile. "Then that's what we'll do tomorrow." Kid smiles more at that and you relax until you reach home. "Oh boy.... Im nervous again..." You breathe. He chuckles pulling you inside.
"This'll be fun."

"Are you sure?" You inquire as you pace nervously. Kid had to admit, just watching you right now was amazing. The dress, your make up, and hair. You had stole his breath when you came out of the bathroom like this.
"I'm sure," He assures getting up. "Would you like me to show you how sure I am?" He smirks. You turn your head away but he could see your ears turn red.
"No..." You murmur. Kid chuckles going over and kissing your shoulder.
"You're breathtaking. I envy him." He says softly.
Before you can think of a response, the door bell sounds. You look to Kid nervously and he nudges you to the door. You swallow and go to the door opening it a bit to peek out. Law chuckles lightly with a handsome smile. "Are you being shy ___?" He teases softly.
"More like super nervous.... You look handsome..." You murmur.
"Come on." Law holds out his hand calmly. You sigh and hesitantly take it, easing out of the house. He pauses, eyes lighting up before he smiles more. "You're so beautiful..."
"Th-Thank you." You stammer. He kisses your cheek before leading you to the car and opening the door for you. You get in, peering back at the house briefly. Law gets in and drives for the school.
"Dammit." Kid touches his forehead to the door after watching the car disappear. He wanted to watch you dance. He growls lowly before teleporting to the top of the gymnasium, peering into the small windows as you and Law enter. You seemed happy, but still nervous. Law's quick to pull you to the dance floor, kissing your knuckles. Kid smiles a bit, watching you dance and smile.
A phone ringing makes you and Law pause. "Sorry, one moment." He frowns pulling away and going outside. Your smile falls and you sigh quietly. Sure you were having fun, but it wasn't like how you used to imagine it. Law soon returns frowning. "Something has come up. Im sorry." He sighs. You search his face before smiling.
"Be careful out there Law. I'll only be upset if you get hurt." You tell him. His shoulders droop at that.
"You're really so amazing ___..." He kisses your cheek before going out.
Kid appears in front of Law, making him pause. "Where are you going?" Kid questions, arms folding. Law frowns stepping around the demon.
"There's a problem at the edge of town." Law states.
"Does that mean more to you than her?" Kid huffs.
"Nothing means more to me than her.... But I moved too late. She's in love with a troublesome demon now, though she hasn't realized it herself yet.... I noticed her pulling back, I tried to stop it but...." Law sighs quietly before turning to Kid. "You protect her with everything you have. If you fail even once, I'll end you." He warns. Kid blinks at him in shock before nodding silently. Law hesitates before carrying on.
"Well.... No point in sticking around here." You mutter to yourself starting for the doors.
"Leaving already?" Kid's voice behind you makes you freeze. You turn to him, finding him in a black and red suit.
"Thought you weren't gonna come." You raise an eyebrow at him.
"Eh... Law called me, and we both happened to agree that tonight should still be great for you." He smiles holding out his hand. "If you don't mind dancing with a demon that is."
"Are you kidding? I live with a demon, this'll be great." You take his hand and he pulls you into his chest with a soft smile.
"Im glad you think so." He rumbles before pulling you into a dance.
"You learn this recently?" You inquire.
"Very recent..." He chuckles as you both turn about. You smile up at him happily. "Did I ever tell you that you look like an angel?" He murmurs. You blush lightly.
"Y-You think so?"
"Yes. In fact I think I met one like you before everything...." He purses his lips, phasing out briefly.
"Did you like her?" You ask softly.
"She was as adorable as you. Almost killed me until I started flirting with her." He chuckles smiling.
"Such a charmer Kid." You giggle.
"Yeah? Have I charmed you?" He teases. You pause, meeting his gaze.
"Maybe." You smile softly. He smiles touching his forehead to yours.
"Yeah? Will I get scolded for stealing a kiss?" He whispers. You hesitate at that before leaning up and pecking his lips. "Yessss! You did it on your own!" He hisses, picking you up and twirling around with you happily. You giggle and hug his neck. This was what you had been wanting to feel with Law.
"Kid, your lips are darker now." You tell him.
"Oh? Do I look good with lipstick?" He wiggles his eyebrows.
"Maybe." You repeat and he snickers, hugging you close and kissing your cheek.
"So, what else is there to do at this thing?" He inquires pulling back.
"Nothing really, wanna leave early to get an ice cream cake?" You ask. He lights up at that.
"Hell yes, we can share one and watch a movie." He grins.
"Sounds fun."

Kid touches your cheek softly, kissing your temple as you slept. "I love you ___...." He whispers. He gets up and leaves your room to wander the house. His phone starts to ring and he checks to find Killer. "Hey Killer, what's up?" He answers with a small smile.
'Trouble Kid. Big trouble.' Killer answers. Kid straightens, smile falling. 'He's awake, needs three more pieces before he's unleashed... And they know you're out.... There's a demon that's gonna come for you soon.'
"I can handle that. Don't worry too much Killer." Kid says calmly.
'You're too calm right now Kid.' Killer sighs, 'How is she?'
"Happy. It's been a good day. Until you said that... Any idea where the pieces are?" Kid inquires.
'No idea, but one's definitely in this town or we wouldn't hear the howl.... Demons will flock here soon. That might put all of us in danger... I don't want to go back..'
"They wont get that piece. And they damn sure won't beat us." Kid rumbles looking toward your door. "I'll tell the priest boy something is up."
'Alright, be careful.'
