So dine and ditch was a success, you left a tip but that was it. Nothing exciting followed, which obviously bummed your demonic companion. So you decided to go to a movie theater with him in order to cheer him up. Which worked perfectly.

He was still snickering as you left the movie. Apparently demons enjoy comedy. You glance at him. Finding his eyes shut and a amused smile on his lips shoulders still shaking from laughter. "I take it you liked it?"

"Humans are so funny. A bit dumb but funny." He chuckles. You smile a bit too before looking ahead. Kid peers at you for a few moments. "Didn't you like it?"

"Eh... I've heard the same jokes before..." You shrug. He frowns briefly until a motorcycle catches both of your ears. You grimace while Kid looks back as Killer rides up beside both of you.

"Good evening ___." He greets, you respond by flipping him off without even giving him a glance. "Or not... Kid, lets hang out," He says to the demon.

"Oh, yeah alright... You'll get home fine right?" Kid asks.

"Yep." You hum with a nod. Kid frowns again at your attitude before going over and joining Killer. You stalk off and he withholds a sigh.

"She still hates me huh? I don't blame her...." Killer says with a slight shrug.

"She doesn't hate you. I didn't sense that from her when she talked about you." Kid tells him.

"I wish she did... Maybe I wouldn't feel this way if she hated me." He sighs.

".... So what's up?" Kid changes the subject. Killer looks at him and shifts.

"How about you stay with me for a while, I don't think it's best if you're around her, wouldn't want a repeat of—" Kid gives him a hard look and Killer looks away. "She'll only weaken you. Just like-"

"Stop talking." The demonic growl escapes Kid making Killer stiffen slightly.

"R-Right let's get going...."

"___?" You stop and look back at Law before smiling.

"Hey, I thought you were busy." You turn to him as he reaches you.

"Not anymore, you shouldn't be walking alone." He gives You a slight worried frown.

"I'm fine Law... And besides, now you're here." You smile hugging him. He chuckles lightly, touching your back.

"Come on, I'll walk you home." He smiles, pulling you along. "I'm surprised Kid isn't with you."

"Eh, He went to hangout with Killer." You admit. Law brings you closer, holding you tighter as if he was trying to protect you from the memories.

"I have another reason to dislike him.." He mutters. He had no idea.

"Anyway, you look great tonight, did you exercise any demons?" You nudge him playfully.

"No but I can repeat a bunch of verses for you." He offers a fake smile.

"Wow, you're bored out of your mind." You comment and he bows his head.

"I really am... I knew it would be boring but..." He sighs.

"Hmmm should I make a confession to the humble saint?" You nudge him, making his lips pull up in a smile.

"Alright, let's see what you got." He rumbles.

"Oh it's so despicable. I have dined and ditched recently." You confess. He gaps at you utterly caught off guard.

"Whaaat? You?..... Kid was with you wasn't he?" He guesses.

"Yeah..." You admit looking down.

"He's a bad influence, corrupting my sweet ___." He hugs your head and you giggle.

"What ever Law, you did that with me too." You remind him.

"Ah but now I'm a saint so it doesn't count." He chuckles. You giggle and shake your head.

"Bullshit." You giggle. He smiles watching your face before kissing your cheek.

"A little bit." He breathes. You blush and smile as you reach the house and go in.

"Will you be staying for a bit?" You ask, looking at him.

"I'd love to but I have to get up early tomorrow before school." He sighs.

"Can't you train after school?" You frown.

"I could but that will have to be after my medical classes, and it takes a chunk out of the time I could spend with you." He says. You blink at him, feeling happy by his words.

"I just don't want you to over do it Law. I don't mind if you can't spend as much time with me as long as you're health—" He brings you into a tight hug at that.

"It's really hard to comply when you say such things," He breathes. You smile and giggle lightly at that.

"I'm only being honest," You murmur. He kisses your cheek, getting the corner of your lips which made you blush even more.

"I know... That's why I cherish you.... I have to go now before I'm tempted to stay any longer." He smiles, gripping your hand briefly before going out. You smile watching the door close before releasing a quiet sigh.

"Hey," Kid's voice behind you makes you jump and spin around.

"H-How long have you been..."

"Just got here, let me guess... Law was just here being all sweet, and kissed your cheek before leaving." He says calmly. You shift, something felt off about him. He hums, a frown on his lips as he looks at the floor before looking you in the eye. "You know, I once saw a man claim he loved a woman. He was sweet, always sweet to her. He brought her gifts, held her hand, kissed her without shame." His voice was heavy and dark, you felt your heart skip in dread as his eyes begin to glow. He cups your chin. "And then a ruthless monster came to tear them apart. He fled with her, but the moment he realized he couldn't escape. He tripped her, the woman he said he loved. Left her right at my feet for the kill. A sacrifice for his life that shouldn't have mattered without her." His voice became a growl at the end, eyes glowing redder. "You should be more careful of the ones that claim to love you. Because only they have the power to break you." His voice became calm again as he pulls away, hand dropping from your chin.

"You're wrong Kid.... Law's not that person... If he wanted to abandon me He would've already done it." You murmur shakily the atmosphere that had suddenly blanketed the room made you want to cry. What was this?

"Maybe, the world has changed a lot, but humans have gotten worse if you ask me.... Are you about to cry?" He straightens in surprise.

"I don't know..." You sniff trying to calm yourself. He frowns and goes to your room briefly before bringing back a blanket and wrapping it around you.

"I went overboard... Relax. Deep breathes." He picks you up and sets you on the couch before turning on a show he thought you'd like. "I'll be going to Killer's now, see you at school." He says, placing a hand on your head. You blink and look back but he's already gone, the thick atmosphere almost dissolving instantly. You relax but it still bothered you. What was that all about?
