"Wake up ___, your gonna be late for school." He cups your cheek, red eyes watching your lips briefly as you wake.

"No... I don't wanna..." You grumble. He smiles, silently thanking you for giving him and excuse to kiss you. You freeze and wake at that.

"Hm? But youre awake now, so you must want to." He chuckles smiling.

"You sneaky demon! You just wanted an excuse to do that!" You cover your blushing face

"I have no idea what youre talking about... Now get up before I'm tempted to do more." He purrs leaning down close but you push his face away with a giggle.

"Cant we stay home? Im afraid of what will happen..." You murmur. His red eyes meet yours and soften.

"Its bound to happen ___, but since you care for that guy so much I promise not to hurt him." He turns his head and kisses your palm, eyes unfocusing.

"But... Kid... What if you get hurt?" You frown. He chuckles lowly, cuddling your hand with his cheek.

"Hes an amateur babe, he's a thousand years too young to be doing serious harm to me." He assures. You frown worried remembering the priest from long ago. "Why are you making that face? Are you really worried about me?"

"Yeah... You probably think its dumb because youre so strong but bad things can still happen..." You look down, hands mindlessly trailing over his toned chest. He watches you for a bit.

"Heh, if you keep that up, I'm going to be tempted to kiss you again." He smirks. You blink and pull your hands away blushing.

"I-I wasn't paying attention..." You puff your cheeks in embarrassment looking away.

"Seriously, stop being cute." He breathes cupping your face. You meet his gaze and shift as he tilts his head thoughtfully. "You know how tempting you are? That priest boy must have a lot of self control not to try more...." His lips brush yours and then press against your cheek. You blush more and he pulls back. "I have to get away from you, youre driving me crazy. See you at school," He chuckles sheepishly before disappearing. You relax and cover your face feeling weird again.

"Shit. Why'd he leave alone!?" You gasp swiftly getting up and dressed.

"You really brought that to school?" Kid blinks at the black case. Law freezes, suddenly turning on him. "I knew you'd try to attack me, but is it smart to do this here?" Kid scratches his cheek.

"We'll go to the roof. And then I'll free her from you." Law decides. Kid frowns before looking back toward where you live.

"Hurry princess, don't worry about the dragon," He breathes, following the raven haired guy. "Hey. What makes you think I have any control over her?" He inquires.

"She's changed a lot since you showed up... It has to be that." Law responds leading him up the stairs.

Kid blinks at that, "She always seemed that spunky to me..."

"That's not what I meant! Her mind... It keeps blacking out." Law reminds him. Kid frowns looking down.

"Alright, I don't know if that's me, but you wont believe me anyway. You've been jealous since I showed up, I could sense it. It must kill you that I live with her, especially now that you know what I am...." Kid smirks, watching his back. Law pauses before going out onto the roof.

Kid follows, easily dodging Law's nodachi. "Ive met that blade before... I killed that guy," Kid hums. Law glares at him. "Oh, I guess you havent seen the real me huh? ___ has, I don't know if she likes it though." Kid stops in the center letting his demon side out. Law pauses swallowing before murmuring a few prayers.

Kid looks at him as he lunges, slashing dangerously. Kid dodges them easily, watching Law bored. Law grits his teeth, something rising up in him. "I'm going to protect her." He murmurs lunging again. Kid's eyes widen as a burst leaves Law, sword cutting Kid's cheek even after Kid dodged.

'Uh oh...' Kid thinks dodging more getting random cuts. 'I really underestimated this guy...'

You reach school panting heavily. "___! You okay?" Luffy calls coming up with Zoro.

"I'm fine! Have you guys seen Kid... Or Law?" You try to catch your breath.

"Sorry, we havent..." Zoro frowns. You close your eyes and try to think. Law wouldn't fight out in the open, especially if he brought the sword but where would he... Your eyes snap open and you look at the rooftop, suddenly running into the building and up the stairs. Sure your lungs were burning, but you had to get to those two idiots.

You reach the door and go out. Kid hit a knee, covered in scratches. Law lunges and you dash forward swiftly, shielding Kid. "___!" Kid gasps as the sword stops an inch from his eye.

Law froze, blinking at where the nodachi pierced your shoulder. "___...."

"Law... Please.... Kid's.... He's important to me. Please don't hurt him anymore." You offer a smile. Law meets your gaze worried and shocked. "Im fine, I think you missed anything important... Kid, can you heat up the blade enough to seal the wound while Law takes it out?" You look back at the frozen demon.

"I-It's going to hurt," He tells you blinking back.

"That's fine. Im prepared... I think." You assure. He nods starting to do so.

"Why.... You know what he is?" Law murmurs.

"Yes. He's the one that brought me back from hell." You tell him. "He saved me Law. And I'm going to protect him until I can return the favor."

"You were in Hell?" He murmurs confused.

"Yeah... That's where I was for two days.. I wandered that place for so long until I found him..." You ease out the hot blade, wincing a bit. "There.... It's out..."

"Im sorry...." Law breathes, looking at the wound.

"It's fine, I'll heal. Are you okay Law?" You cup his cheek.

"I.... Don't know... How is... He?" He asks.

"Im good. You caught me off guard priestboy... Get that out of your system?" Kid straightens, finally healing.

"Im... Sorry...." Law sighs.

"Hes freaking me out ___." Kid murmurs. Law glares at him.

"Im trying to apologize!" He snaps.

"Don't bother. Im fine with you hating me and being jealous... But she doesn't want us to fight... And even though I want to shatter that sword of yours for hurting her- I'll be civil." Kid waves it off, retaking his human form. Law shifts and scoffs, before looking at you.

"Are you okay?" He asks softly.

"Yeah, as long as I'm only impaled once today I should be fine." You shrug with your uninjured shoulder since your other one was screaming in pain and made you want to cry.

"Im....paled....." Law echoes, regret and guilt pouring into his face that made him look so sad.

"I-Im sorry! Please don't make that face! I love you! Im fine! See!?" You roll your shoulder internally screaming from the pain. He pulls you into his chest at that, hugging you tightly.

"I swear I'll make it up to you." He breathes.

"Don't worry about it! Anyway I think I'll take a day off like I originally wanted. See you later! Try not to worry about this okay?" You pull back giving him a smile before going to Kid and touching his shoulder. Kid nods and youre both suddenly home. "Are you really okay Kid? You looked tired..." You ask checking him for injuries.

"I told you I'm fine, he probably didn't realize it but he was stealing my energy that whole time... Not like any priest I've faced before... Except..." He phases out briefly.

"Kid?" You tilt your head and he blinks back.

"Anyway, are you really okay?" He raises an eyebrow. You blink up at him, tearing up slightly.

"It really.... Really hurts...." You whisper holding your shoulder. He frowns and removes your shirt, moving behind you and kissing the exit point softly.

"I can take the pain away." He murmurs.

"Where will it go?" You ask, peering at him.

"To me." He doesn't meet your gaze. "Unlike the beartrap, this wound has some spirit power in it, it wont heal as fast."

"I refuse." You look away frowning. He blinks and tries to look at your face.

"But you look like youre about to cry." He points out.

"I don't care, I wont let you take it." You grumble turning your head away. He blinks and smiles chuckling and turning your chin back to him.

"Youre so stubborn..." He breathes kissing you deeply. You pause, heart jumping a bit and a blush invading your cheeks as you pull away.

"Kid..."

"I don't care. Ill be affectionate to you if I want." He huffs turning you to him and hugging you close. "If you wont let me take the pain, at least let me give you affection instead..." He says quietly. You blink a few times and nuzzle his chest.

"Why are you so sweet to me?" You question.

"You saved me too ___." He tells you. Before you respond something catches your attention making you straighten and look over. "___?" He watches you as you start walking away in a daze.

You don't respond as you walk out of the house. Confused the demon follows you out. A few blocks down the street he finally picks up on a demonic howl that was silent to human ears. He blinks as you start for it. He swiftly picks you up at that, knocking you from your trance as he teleports to the living room.

"Hm? What are you doing?" You ask. He blinks and meets your gaze before smiling.

"Movie time! Stay here while I make popcorn." He puts you on the couch before going into the kitchen. He frowns peering back at you before calling Killer. "Hey. I need you to check on something for me."
