"What's going on?" You yawn, finding Law and Kid in the kitchen looking serious.
"Nothing." Kid hums.
"Don't worry about it." Law agrees. You hum, going to the fridge and opening the freezer, taking some ice cubes before putting them in the back of their shirts.
"Gah!" They both gasp straightening up. You fold your arms, giving them a look.
"Demons might be coming here to help unleash an even bigger demon and possibly bring an apocalypse." Kid says right away. Law gives him a frown for caving so fast. "I.... How did..." Kid looks at you puzzled.
"The trick is not to look her in the eye when she does that." Law tells him. You look at him and he looks to the side. "We didn't want you to get involved..." He sighs.
"You weren't looking her in the eye." Kid murmurs.
"It's pointless now." Law sweatdrops.
"How could I not get involved when my two favorite people are? You want me to get angry with you?" You breathe, fingers drumming on your arm. Kid blinks at you.
"You're really cute right now." He hums.
"I want to help." You tell Law.
"How?" Law frowns.
"I don't know, maybe I can find them since...." You glance at Kid.
"You're drawn to demons." Kid murmurs, eyes narrowing slightly as they look to the table.
"And vice versa. Killer did approach you first." Law recalls.
"No... If that were true, she would've been swarmed the moment she entered hell unless...." Kid trails off before shaking his head. You and Law blink at him before looking at each other.
"Kid, are you hiding something?" You ask.
"No. I'm not acknowledging that possibility." He sighs. There's a knock on the front door and you look up confused, going to the door and opening it.
"Can I help you?" You look up at the large intimidating man.
"My name is Akainu, I'm a priest and would like to bless your home." He rumbles.
"I must decline, my home is nice as is." You smile. "Plus my parents aren't present and I'd rather not allow a big scary looking priest into the house." You add before closing the door before returning to the kitchen. "Akainu." You tell Law.
"He's the head priest, and he's strong." Law sighs rubbing his temples. "Priests and demons...." He grumbles.
"Priests aren't really your problem." Kid hums.
"They are when I'm hanging around a demon..." Law points out.
"So, ignoring the priest outside, where do we begin?" You ask.
"The edge of town had demonic energy last night, but we didn't find any demons... I feel like they may still be there." Law murmurs.
"Alright, where is it exactly?" Kid taps the table, making a map of town appear.
"They were here, near a football field." Law points.
"Then lets go," Kid rumbles getting up. Law nods stands as well. You grab their hands and Kid takes you both to the edge of town. Law staggers, using his sword to keep from falling over.
"Are you okay?" You touch Law's back. "You'll get used to it."
"That was highly unpleasant." Law huffs, straightening up.
"Well... There's definitely someone here..." Kid says, scanning around.
"You know them?" You ask, going over to him.
"No, I don't recognize this one." He murmurs.
"That hurts Kid." A voice hums and Kid freezes, the color leaving his face. You both look over at the woman as she smiles.
"L.... Leanna..." He murmurs in shock. "How..."
"Don't look so surprised dear, after I made a top demon fall, they practically begged that I take your position. Useless emotional demon." She purrs. Something inside you snaps and you draw Law's sword, stalking for her.
"___!?" Law huffs in surprise. Leanna blinks at you and smirks.
"Oh? What's up with you? Did I hit a nerve?" She snicker, you get in range and slash at her. She leans back in surprise as something flickers over the blade. "What... Who the hell are you?"
"All you need to know is... I'll be the one killing you this time." You growl with a smile, closing the distance between you a slashing again. She flips away swiftly, cackling now.
"Oh I see, so he told you? He was such a fool! It was easy to use him!... Don't tell me you've fallen for that tool?" She sneers, looking at you in disdain. Your grip on the sword tightens at that, feeling a surge climb onto your back. She pauses, blinking at you in shock.
"What is that..." Law whispers as darkness flickers over you.
"That... Shouldn't be possible..." Kid breathes, stunned.
"Of course I did... He was so loyal to you. Every time you cried wolf, he would come and make sure you were safe again... But you took him for granted. He loved you, and you betrayed him. And then that merchant that offered to take you somewhere safe, betrayed you too, didn't he? I'd call that justice, but it doesn't make up for the innocent lives that you tricked Kid into killing." You were shaking, anger flickering inside you furiously.
"How... How do you know that...?" Leanna whispers, backing up. You don't respond, lunging forward and slashing at her again. She dodges, holding her arm out at you and making a shadowy black viper burst out of her hand. You angle the blade and swiftly slash it in two, eyes never leaving her.
Law glances at Kid, finding the demon in shock, eyes on you. Apparently he never knew that information either. Law felt troubled, eyes going back to you. Just what happened to his dear friend? Was this power always inside you? Not only that... His eyes narrow slightly as you flip out of the way as Leanna releases more vipers at you. When did you learn to fight like that?
You take out the two vipers with one strike, closing the distance between you and her again. "Stop hiding behind your snakes and fight for your life scum." You order, glaring at her.
Kid straightens, feeling an old chill run through him. Leanna's eyes widen and she swiftly kicks you away. You flip, skidding slightly and straightening up. "What are you?" Leanna hisses.
"Stop talking. Your voice is starting to irritate me. Its gritting." Your lip curls as you approach her calmly. "In fact, if you open your filthy mouth again, I'll remove your head." Leanna grits her teeth.
"Don't look down on me! I'm immortal you human bitch!" She shrieks sending more snakes at you. You dodge them, but the vipers don't move to attack. "What...? Kill her!" She snaps at the vipers. You look at the shadowy creatures calmly.
"They don't listen to cowards." You look at her again and hold out your free hand, snapping your fingers. The vipers strike her altogether, making her cry out and fall back. You walk up to her, slashing swiftly before she can recover. Her head tumbles to her lap before she turns to ash. You look at the vipers as they look up at you. "Be gone"
The vipers disappear and Law carefully steps forward. "___?" He inquires. Your head turns to him, but he doesn't recognize those eyes. You close them and the sword falls to the ground. Law rushes forward, barely able to catch you in time as you fall back.
"Is she okay?" Kid asks, swiftly coming to his side.
"I don't know... Take us back."Law breathes. Kid nods, picking up the sword and placing his other hand on Law's shoulder, teleporting to your room. Law lays you down on your bed before taking his sword and leading Kid out to the living room. "What the hell was that? Was that your doing?" Law points his sword at Kid.
"That wasn't me... That was the demonic piece inside her... But even with that..." Kid trails off rubbing his temple.
"You're as confused as me." Law murmurs, lowering his sword.
"That power, drives normal humans mad even when a tiny bit is unleashed. That was manifestation, she shouldn't have had control over it at all.... And I only told her that I killed Leanna... There's no way she could've known the whole story like that- not even I knew..." He runs a hand through his hair.
"Calm down.... The important thing is, she's safe and sound. And apparently a way better fighter than I knew..." Law sheathes his sword.
"You have that Zoro guy's number?" Kid asks him, going through the fridge. "I want gummies...."
"What does he have to do with any of this?" Law questions. "And I saw them in the pantry."
"Zoro did train with her, but she doesn't remember.... And maybe he can help with our situation, he can fight." Kid points out, opening the pantry. "I love being me..." He breathes taking out the giant jar of gummies.
"Alright..." Law sweatdrops, messaging Zoro.

"That person I sparred with, was not ___. The one I sparred with was holding back, and is a lot more dangerous." Zoro says, watching Kid nibble on a gummy gator.
"We saw that today... Now... I'm going to ask something... Crazy of you." Law says rubbing his neck.
"Help us fight demons that are coming for her." Kid requests bluntly. Law sighs, giving the demon an annoyed look. "Faster this way, also-" His demonic side comes out. Zoro's eyebrows raise and he nods slowly.
"That explains why she jumped between us...." He comments.
"Kid..." Your murmur makes them all look over as you come in looking tired.
"Hey... Come here, you look like youre going to fall back asleep." He breathes. You go over to him and he pulls you on to his lap, holding you close.
"I had a weird dream... I was fighting a demon woman... but... I wasn't..." You yawn, curling into him. "I'm really tired, feels like I ran miles..."
"Actually, you did fight and kill a demon. You passed out right afterwards." Kid tells you.
"I did? No wonder I feel weird." You close your eyes. "Hi Zoro..."
"Hey, I hear you need help with demons, need a sword?" Zoro rumbles.
"Yeah... But I want two swords.." You hum, "The sword I really want to borrow is in the dojo... sheathed in white and gold."
"You have good eye, I'll bring it to you then. Let me know if anything else comes up." Zoro rumbles before going out.
"I'll get going too, my dad should know about this." Law adds getting up as well.
"Bye. Be careful." You smile, peeking at them. They give a smile before going out. Kid sits back, looking down at you.
"___..." He murmurs. You look up at him sleepily and smile. "Im going to protect you."
"I know Kid. I'll try to protect you too." You breathe.
"You were amazing today, even if you don't remember all of it, you were like the angel warrior I fought before." He tells you softly.
"Warrior...?" You tilt your head.
"Oh yeah, first generation angels are true warriors... Cold, ruthless, deadly... It's a good thing they deemed demons their only enemy, or else humans wouldn't look at them the same." He chuckles taking you to the couch. "But they haven't been seen for a long time... If we fail then they'll definitely step in."
"Why are you frowning like that?" You inquire, touching his lips. He meets your gaze.
"Because, failing means you die." He breathes kissing your hand.
"What do you mean?" You tilt your head.
"You have a piece of the demon inside you. If they extract it, you will die... And Kaido will be released." He murmurs cupping your cheek.
"Im not scared, you're with me. Just do me a favor, and don't tell the others... I don't want them feeling too stressed over this, Law's judgement will falter. Like it did when he thought he was protecting me from you." You sit up, rubbing your eyes.
"I think you're wrong about that ___. Humans are much more powerful when something or someone they love are at stake." He smirks slightly. "Law tapped into that power for you."
"Do what you think will help." You smile. "I trust you." Kid meets your gaze, thumbs gliding over your sides.
"___... How did you know what happened with Leanna?" He asks. You blink and shift, rubbing your cheek.
"I saw it... Everything- E-Except when you two were..." You look to the side. Kid puts a hand over his mouth, zoning out. "... Kid?" You murmur. He moves you off his lap and gets up before promptly disappearing. You shift and look around worried, was he upset?
"Um... ___?" A voice makes you freeze and look over. Killer gives a small, awkward wave. "Uh... Kid asked me to watch over you while he.... Searches for something..."
"And he told you there's a priest wandering around so you couldn't steak out." You guess. He gives a nod. "Okay... Um..." Silence, long and awkward. You rub your temple before getting up, going behind the couch and stopping in front of him. He shifts, watching you carefully. You bring up your hand and slap him across the face. "Better?" You hum. He relaxes at that.
"So much better." He breathes. "I deserved that but it felt like you were holding back."
"It doesn't bother me anymore." You rub your neck, "I guess that stopped when me and Kid started getting along."
"I'm glad... You'll treat him well, and he'll return the favor." He looks down. "I'm sorry for trying to pull him away from you, I suppose I was jealous..."
"You..." You shift before nodding, "Now I'm going to kick your ass." You grab a couch cushion before hitting him with it. He staggers back in surprise.
"I-I stopped!... He doesn't want to leave you alone anymore, and I don't blame him." He says, dodging the cushion.
"Alright good.., Now lets watch that one movie." You smirk suddenly putting the cushion up.
"You've really changed since he came back." He huffs.
"I know... I feel... Stronger."
