"All I wanted was new bedsheets!" Dick yelled as he elegantly flipped away from it. He began running through the store, hiding in an empty aisle.

It wasn't too empty though. Accompanying him was a body— a dead one.

Dick stuck out his tongue and scrunched up his face in disgust. He heard light footsteps in the aisle next to him. He tried peering over, looking into it without giving away his hiding spot. "This is like one big game of hide and seek tag" he thought then smirked to himself.

Thinking that way would definitely get him out of here. He was the master of hide and seek tag after all.

In the aisle were two creatures shuffling around, snarling like animals. They seemed to not have much control over all their limbs. One had a limp arm and the other dragged its foot on the ground as it walked.

He crouched down to the ground over to the other end of the aisle. He peered into a different one which seemed to be empty.

Dick made his way into the other aisle, stepping over other bodies. When he made it to the other end he looked over to see where to go next. What he didn't know was that one of the bodies laying on the ground was beginning to get up.

It started crawling closer and closer to Dick, who was oblivious to its actions. Dick was about to make his next move when he was tackled. He struggled underneath the thing but finally flipped himself over, facing the creature.

It growled in his face, blood and spit falling on his cheek. "Ever heard of a breath mint?" Dick said smugly, getting his feet positioned and flipping it off of him. The creature tumbled forward, knocking over a stack of paper towels. They all crashed to the floor, covering it.

Dick took that time to make his quick escape. "Now for the tag part of Hide and seek tag" he thought, as he started for the exit. Unfortunately it wasn't as easy as he originally thought.

About halfway to the nearest fire exit he ran right into one of those things, toppling on top of it. "My bad, shoulda been watching." Dick said jokingly, trying to get up as fast as he could. It had other plans though.

It grabbed Dicks wrist with a death grip, pulling him back down. Dick continued to try and stand up again while it tried to bite at his face. He finally got his hand free and kicked the creature in the abdomen, sending it flying back.

Dick didn't waste any time to start running again.

In a matter of seconds he was already at a fire exit. He swiftly pushed it open and ran outside,  making sure to close the door behind him. He was led to an empty parking lot— only some dead bodies and scattered cars.

This time Dick made sure to steer clear of supposedly dead bodies. He didn't want the aisle incident to happen again.

He walked out of the parking lot to the road. He aimlessly walked around, staying vigilant for any things that could sneak up on him.

Dick walked for a few more minutes until he got to the place he was looking for.

The Zeta tubes.

He tried using it to get to the Watchtower, maybe Bruce would be there, or Superman, or Wonder Woman, just someone who could help. But the world decided otherwise.

The Zeta tubes were down.

Dick kept repeating 'shit' as he banged and kicked on it, hoping for some reason it would start working. It didn't.

"Of course it's not working! Just my fucking luck today. Some zombie apocalypse starts going on while I'm shopping, I have no idea where my family is, and now! The Zeta tubes don't work! What a wonderful fucking day." Dick said, irritated and obviously sarcastic.

After his little rant, he knew he had to get out of there before more things showed up.

All he had to do was get to the manor. It can't be too hard.

"Just like Hide and Seek Tag."

I told you I'd get an update done by this weekend! Have I ever failed you?...don't answer that question.

I am now officially done with everyone's reactions so it may be easier now that I'm actually getting this thing started.
