0.4 | CONQUEROR

"MY CHILDREN, DO not fail me. I will see you on Titan."

As soon as they had materialised on the Sanctuary II, things were a go. Everyone had jumped into action immediately, with the four eldest children pairing off into two Q-Ships while Leena typed in the recent coordinates of the Stones into the control panels.

"We will bring them to you, father." Corvus Glaive's harsh voice simmered over them, he bowed his head in respect before jumping into the Q-Ship that Leena was in. She threw a glance over her shoulder towards him, he nodded in acknowledgement. She quickly swiped away the location services on the control panel and walked over to him, her hand fumbling with the metal bracelets she had attached to her belt.

"Here you go," Leena said as she handed a bracelet over to Corvus. Proxima Midnight appeared beside him, towering over her. "I've keyed in the Q-Ship, and also the Sanctuary, incase you need to hightail out of there."

"We won't," Corvus Glaive said, confidently.

Leena shrugged her shoulders as Proxima Midnight clicked the bracelet onto her thin blue wrist. It adjusted to the correct size automatically. "Just in case."

"The Sanctuary?" Proxima Midnight asked, her husky voice deepened.

Leena looked up at her white eyes which peered down at her. "Like I said, just in case."

Usually the bracelets would only be keyed to their respective Q-Ships to materialise them away from any danger, but Leena knew this was different from all their other conquests. The Infinity Stones would be fought to the death. The bracelets merely added a layer of security, it was probably a waste. They had never failed Thanos before.

Leena's heavy boots thumped against the floor of the Shuttle Deck as she left one Q-Ship before reaching the other, housing Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian. She quickly went to work on entering the coordinates of the Stone, and keying their bracelets to the respective ships.

She handed the metal bracelets over to her adoptive brothers. Cull grunted as the metal bracelet grew in size to accommodate his large wrist while Ebony Maw snarled. "You think so little of us that you keyed in the Sanctuary?"

Leena gave him a blank look, her body was weary from the recent fight against the Asgardian Gods, and she was in no mood for his snide comments. "Yes."

Just as Ebony Maw lifted his hand to strike her, Thanos' voice boomed from the Shuttle Deck. "Daughter, come to me for you have another task."

Leena shot Ebony Maw a quick, snarky smile before leaving the Q-Ship and walking towards her father, who stood next to the entrance of the armoury. There was a loud whizz of static which blew a humid gust of wind against Leena's back, her wild curls blowing in front of her as the two Q-Ships charged up their engines. A metal divider fell down between the Shuttle Deck and the two departing Q-Ships, to avoid any hazardous incidents.

She reached Thanos and stared up at him, curious to what her task would be for he had not sent her to Earth to retrieve the Stones. His looming body shimmered under the added Stone to his collection, he glanced at his gauntlet.

"I want you to go to him, and tell him that he has until I have all the Stones to decide where his loyalties lie," Thanos declared.

Leena stilled. The man in question appeared in her thoughts. "And what of," Leena paused slightly when Thanos clenched his gauntlet, "her."

"Both of them have until all the Stones are in my possession or the consequences will be dire."

Leena nodded her head, biting the inside of her cheek. Of course, Leena would be the one to be sent on a diplomatic mission in the heat of the war. A small burn of irritation tinged in her chest.

"I will go immediately, father," Leena bowed her head in respect before advancing to the armoury to acquire another bracelet.

"You will not need a Q-Ship, my daughter." Thanos stopped her, she turned towards him with her brows furrowed only to glance at his gauntlet where the Space Stone was shimmering brightly. "Do not fret, for I shall summon you to Knowhere, in due time."

The blue ripple of the Space Stone opened a clouded portal, just a step to the side of her, which led to a darkened space. She looked at Thanos who nodded his head before pursing her lips, and stepping through. The portal immediately disappeared once she had set foot into the darkest corner of the Universe.

Her eyes took a few moments to adjust to the dark hues of the galaxy above while she cautiously walked down the familiar stone path. Small splashes resounded from each step she took. The thin liquid beneath her feet coated the entire path, and rippled with every step she made towards the warm hue in the distance, which was her destination.

Her fingers grazed her belt before she reached up to tuck her hair behind her ears. She then softly touched her throbbing bottom lip where it had scabbed over. She glanced down at her forearms, the God of Thunder had certainly left his mark on her. As soon as she had returned to the Sanctuary, she had bandaged herself up. Her body was yearning to rest but she pushed forwards, and forced her feet towards the light.

She could not believe that her father had sent her here while her siblings were seeking out the Stones. The Stones which forged her destiny in the stars. She kicked her foot in front of her, a loud splash of the liquid rippled around her. She should be finding the Stones, not acting as a diplomat.

Leena was nearing the warming light which illuminated the crimson red liquid beneath her that was undoubtedly staining her black boots. She wrinkled her nose.

"You've come alone," a voice boomed around the empty space. Leena continued on her path to the light which was growing brighter by the second. "Have you missed me that much, little Lee?"

Leena refused to answer. She continued until the light was almost blinding, her eyes squinting. Thankfully, her surroundings filled with light as the burning orb in front of her dissipated to reveal a large throne forged by the fires of hell itself which had merged mismatched stone across the realms and dimensions.

Upon the throne sat a man with a ruggedly handsome appearance. His dark curly black hair fell just above his eyebrows while his dark skin glinted under the warming light. He sat with one leg up, and over, the arm of his throne in a lazy manner with his elbow resting on his thigh as he tilted his head. His lips curled up, wickedly.

"My, my, how you have grown." He cooed with his other hand gesturing towards her, asking her to step forwards. She did so, taking a few steps towards the timeless man. His unnerving bright eyes gazed down at her.

"You're the second person to say that today," Leena noted as she glanced up above her. They were hidden in a domed room, and upon the walls laid his victims where their heads had been placed upon spikes. Leena felt a shiver ripple over her when she gazed upon a woman, slightly older than her, with familiar curly hair and freckled cheeks. "What did I do?"

He turned to briefly glance at the spiked head that she was referring to, for it was her own. "Oh, that thing. You had sided with those Terrains — oh shoot, what are their names again?" He was furrowing his dark brows as he waved his hand to try to jog his ancient memory, "the Revengers — no, that's not it. The Ravangers — nope. Ooh, ooh! The Avengers! That's the one," he clicked his fingers upon remembering. "You had sided with the Avengers to try and kill me, way back when, in another universe."

"I take it we lost?" Leena humoured him while she interlocked and unlocked her fingers behind her back. She would never side with the group of deviants he was referring to.

"Good observation." He replied with a grin, "now, what can I do for you? How may I, the noble and brave hearted, Kang, be of servitude to you, the Saviour."

"He has two Stones," Leena declared. Her eyes focused on the hauntingly bright gaze of Kang the Conqueror, a man forged in the creation time, who bent it to his will to travel across the multiverse for his own personal delight. "Soon, he will have all six in his possession."

Kang clicked his tongue, "and he wants me to side with him?"

"Yes."

Kang sighed. He shifted his long leg off the arm of the throne, and stood to his feet. He waved his hand and silver sheets of metal appeared before him, which hovered as stairs that he stepped on until he stood before Leena. His tall body, clothed in a rich red shirt and black trousers with a long black cape, loomed over her:

"No."

"You know he will kill you," Leena stated as Kang side-stepped her. A hidden door appeared, and he walked down the walkway, leaving the door open for Leena to follow. She hesitated, glancing once last time at her head on the spike, which was beside an unrecognisable man with brown wavy hair and a stubbled jaw. She forced her eyes away and followed behind Kang.

"He can try."

"Kang," Leena pressed, her boots left blood-stained footprints behind her. "Not even you can hide from him when he has all the Stones."

"He'll grow tired, eventually." Kang rebutted as they walked down a silent walkway, leading to another door which led to one of his many military bases. It was filled with his people ratifying themselves for war. Screams echoed around as bloodied men and women were laid on metal sheets that hovered in the air, and floated towards the medical bay.

"No, he won't." She cast her eyes around as soldiers armed themselves with guns and swords, and advanced technological weapons beyond Leena's imagination. She looked on with wide eyes while she curled her fingers in anticipation for Kang to stage an attack against her. "Who are you at war with?"

"In another world, the Skrulls and the woman, General Marvel or something." Kang muttered as he continued to walk through the basecamp, "but here, the Kree have ticked me off."

Leena nodded her head slowly. He was at war in two different dimensions.

"You see, little Lee," Kang stopped, and turned towards Leena, his hands outstretched to gesture around him. "We can jump into different realms, dimensions and universes. Thanos can only inflict his pain on a single Universe. He can do nothing to my Empire."

"Perhaps he can do nothing to your Empire," Leena noted, "but you, personally, are another story. He can hurt you, and he will, if you do not side with him."

"He would never hurt her," Kang snarked back.

Leena held his gaze, "yes, he would. You know he would."

Kang's nose twitched before he turned on his heel, and continued walking. Leena followed behind him. They left one of the basecamps and wandered down another walkway, leading away from the deep centre of his Empire. His throne being at the core of the planet.

"I take it you arrived here because of the Stone," Kang noted.

Leena nodded her head, "yes."

"Now, why did the Great Titan," Kang's lips curled up teasingly as he glanced down at her, "send his Saviour, in the midst of completing his destiny, to serve as a diplomat?"

Leena said nothing.

"It irks you, does it not?" Kang asked. Leena simply turned her head away from him while she clenched her fists behind her back. "To be the so-called Saviour, and yet, act as his lapdog."

Leena shot him a glare, her nails digging into her palms. "I don't answer to you."

Kang's lips tugged up into a small smirk, "you're irked, little Lee."

"Where is she?" Leena asked, refusing to answer him.

"Right here," Kang hummed as another hidden door revealed itself, opening a clouded portal. Leena glanced at Kang who quirked an eyebrow before he stepped inside the portal, disappearing from sight. Leena stepped over the threshold, a chilly breeze washing over her, and entered a realm which tingled her nerves.

The Realm of Death was a hidden pocket in the galaxy.

Fortunately, Kang had access.

Streaks of reds, oranges and purples littered the galactic space where the shadow of Mistress Death hovered with a scythe in her long fingers.

Her eerily white eyes gazed at Leena from under her large hood, her shadowed head tilted. She greeted Leena, "child of Thanos."

Leena inclined her head in acknowledgement as the chill nipped at her skin, "Death."

"Why have you come here, child?" She asked, softly.

Leena glanced around, her body was tingling. It was disorientating to be floating in the cosmos. A wave of nausea washed over her. "I've come to see if your loyalties have changed."

"I am loyal to no one but myself, child."

"Has has two Stones —"

"— Tell me, dear child." Death cut her off, "are you following Thanos because you believe in his philosophy? Or out of fear?"

Leena tightened her lips into a line while Kang let out a low whistle from beside her.

"He may not be able to kill you," Leena continued, ignoring her probing question, "but he can hurt you."

"Oh my," Death sighed as she floated towards Leena who curled her fingers. Death reached a long bony finger out and stroked her freckled cheek, leaving a trail of ice. "Oh, how you have aged but still remain a child. Tell me, little girl, are you only meant to be his messenger? Or are you meant for more?"

Leena stared up at the hooded figure, holding Death's gaze. "You have until he collects all the Stones."

Death pulled her hand back, and tutted. "I see a portal waiting for you, child. Do give Thanos my regards." Her hooded figure floated away from sight.

Leena released an irritated sigh as she turned around and stepped back through the portal leading to Kang's Empire. The door bolted after Kang had stepped through. Leena noticed the shimmering blue tinge of another portal leading to her father.

"It was lovely to see you, little Lee." Kang commented, and bent his waist in a mocking bow. His bright blue eyes glinted mischievously, "now, go run along to your father."

Leena's hands clenched as she offered Kang a tight smile. "Would you like to know what irks me, Kang?" The man in question quirked his brow teasingly, "you."

His hollow laugh followed her through the portal, ceasing when Thanos unclenched his fist and the Space Stone dimmed. She looked around her surroundings and took a step back as she glanced around Knowhere which was consumed by purple licks of fire. The flames had destroyed everything in its path. A crash resounded from one of the many falling buildings.

Upon glancing up at her father, she shook her head. His eyes darkened in annoyance as he let out a roar of anger. His fury was released from his gauntlet under the guise of fiery, purple flames. Leena stepped back as the heat whipped at her face, smoke clouding around them. She slouched her shoulders as her fingers interlocked and unlocked behind her back, warily looking at the destruction he was causing with the Power Stone.

He stopped his onslaught of chaos upon hearing a low rum of a spacecraft engine in the vicinity. Thanos quickly composed himself, and his daughter watched on from behind him. The setting around them slowly altered as the Reality Stone burned brightly on his wrist. Fallen buildings being replaced by safe constructs while dim hues of burning lights replaced the ferocious fires.

Thanos lifted a finger up to his lips as a replica of himself appeared with the white-haired Collector, just a few feet in front of them. She nodded her head slowly and mulled over her confused thoughts, for she did not understand why they were still on Nowhere if he had the Reality Stone.

There was a sudden clash. Her eyes were drawn to the sight of her older sister, Gamora, who had jumped into the false frame. Her entire body froze upon seeing her sister.

Gamora had leaped out from behind a metal box and proceeded to attack Thanos. Her sword swiftly landed in the side of his neck before she proceeded to finish him off with a double-edge knife to the heart. His body grunted and dropped heavily to the ground.

Gamora had killed Thanos.
