*Chapter Thirty Five*

*There is a mature scene, if you don't wanna ready it, skim through it... Also...Guess who's at the end of the chapter?*

Claire wakes up slowly. Elijah's arms are wrapped snugly around her, his head nuzzled in her neck as he spoons her. She smiles sifting further backwards causing Elijah to tighten his grip. His nose brushes against the mark he made on her neck.

The mark came from him feeding from her the previous night. While it was obvious there is a mark there now, it would fade within a few days but it would always be there. Humans wouldn't be able to see it but the supernatural would. They would also smell Elijah's scent mixing with Claire's, warning everybody that she's been claimed and that a very gruesome death would follow anybody who dare lay a hand on her.

"Good morning, Elskan" Elijah mumbles in her ear. A pleasant shiver races down her spine. She spins in his arms so she was facing him. He opens his eyes and she smiles at him.

"I love you" She whispers.

"I love you more, Elskan" He whispers back before kissing her. The desire slowly growing in both of them. Claire pushing Elijah on his back, climbing on top of him. She straddles his waist her hands roaming his chest.

Before they could go too far, Claire slowly pulls away and sits up. Elijah watches her curiously as she frowns her eyebrows. She knew they were the only ones in the room but she could swear she was hearing something.

"Those are my thoughts, Elskan" Elijah explains. Claire looks at him instantly. She then becomes painfully aware that she could hear every thought and had access to all his memories. But that wasn't all. She didn't only have access to his mind but to his emotions.

She gasps as they start to overwhelm her. Elijah didn't have much difficulty, if any at all, with the change. He had access to her emotions and thoughts as well but after being a vampire for a thousand years, he's used to dealing with heightened emotions which helped his handle suddenly being able to feel hers. He also had experience being able to entire ones mind so hearing her thoughts, feeling her emotions, it didn't overwhelm him.

Claire, however, is only human. She's only spent 17 years alive and in those years she's only ever experienced her normal emotions and her own thoughts. Now she could feel Elijah. She could feel his heightened emotions which quickly took over almost all her senses. It as impossible for her to decipher what was hers and what was his. Panic began to over take Claire only causing everything to get worse.

"Claire, my love, please calm down" Elijah whispers sitting up. He wraps his arms around her her and she buries her head in the crook of his neck. His lips kiss her shoulder.

"It's too much" She whimpers. He rubs her back soothingly making sure that he remained calm knowing it would be easier to calm her down that way.

"You can block it out" He whispered to her. "Imagine a barrier around your mind, a mental wall." He mutters in her ear. Claire tries to do what he tells her but it felt impossible.

"It's not working" She complains. He sighed and pulled her away from his neck, pressing her forehead on his. Claire's eyes were closed but they slowly opened to look into Elijah's.

"You have to relax" He whispers before kissing her. She instantly responds to him, her body relaxing against him within the kiss. He urges her to try again in his thoughts knowing she'd hear them while they continue to kiss. Eventually she pulls away feeling more in control. "Better?"

"Much" She whispers smiling at him. He smiles back at her, his hands sliding down her back, resting on her hips. His thumbs graze over her smooth skin.

"It'll calm down within a few days. The bond is freshly completed, once it settles it'll be easier." He explains to her. "My emotions won't seem so drastic and blocking out my thoughts will be easier." She nods and reburies her head in his neck. He smiles and slowly lays them back down, Claire staying on top of his chest.

Elijah couldn't keep the smile off his face. He was beyond ecstatic now that he had his mate is completely his. He loved smelling his scent on her, seeing his mark on her neck. He knew she'd be safer with his mark on her, an unmarked soulmate was vulnerable but a marked one is more protected.

The mark would practically repel unwanted supernatural creatures. Their primal instincts would be to respect the bond, to stay away. Only a stupid and suicidal person would come after her.

While Elijah was reveling in the fact that the bond was complete, Claire was trying to figure out her emotions. They felt more heightened around Elijah, as if she were a newborn vampire. Only she's human. She felt as if she couldn't get close enough to Elijah. The very thought of not being with him, for even a moment was unpleasing. Her desire for him, her desire to be around him skyrocketed. She felt as if she always needed to be around him, to have some type of contact. She loved the feeling but also disliked the amount of dependence she felt on Elijah, she still wanted to be her own person and have time to herself so she secretly hoped that what she's feeling would lessen once the bond settled like Elijah said.

"I want to stay here forever" Claire whispers nestling her head closer to Elijah's neck. "No drama. No worries. Just us" She whispers. Elijah moves his head to the side and kisses her. She smiles kissing him back.

He rolls her onto her back and climbed on top of her. She felt excitement soar through her veins  as she pulled him closer. She felt as if she needed him, like she would always need him.

"This hotel room will be ours for as long as you wish" Elijah whispers looking in her eyes. "The only person in the world that matters is you, Claire. I love you and I will do anything for you. If you wish to stay, then we will stay for as long as you like." Claire smiles at him. She caresses his cheek softly.

"We have until 1 to get Madelyn." Claire whispers to him a sheepish smile coming to her lips. He grins leaning closer to her.

"Well then, lets make the most of our time, shall we?" He continues grins as he disappears under the covers. Claire gasps, her head going deeper into the pillow. Elijah kisses down her body before pinning her legs on the bed, spread apart.

Claire's hands grip the bedding and pulls it away so she can watch Elijah. His dark eyes meet hers. Claire's mouth drops as his tongue slides up her slit and swirls around her clit. Her legs struggle under his grip but with his Original strength they weren't going anywhere.

"Elijah" Claire cries out as his tongue goes inside of her folds deeper. Her toes curl. Her hands go to his hair. Her fingers weaving through the soft brown locks. The pads of her finger tips message his head before tightening around his mane when he suckles her bud. "Elijah, please don't tease" She begs.

His head lifts slightly. His eyes watch her like a predator watching his pray. His eyes remain on her as he pushes a finger inside of her. A soft gasp escapes her lips. In and out, his fear keeps a steady pace slowly building her up before he adds another finger. Her walls clench around him and his pace quickens.

"So beautiful" Elijah whispers. Claire moans softly. Her hips move trying to create more pressure, more friction. Claire's head presses into the pillow, her eyes are shut and her mouth agape. She takes uneven breaths. Her heart pounds against her chest, the rhythm is music to Elijah's ears.

"I'm close, Elijah" She whimpers her head rolling side to side on the feathered pillow. Elijah doesn't respond. He keeps up the pace. His nose brushes up her stomach as his body climbs up hers. His tongue gives each other her nipples a little attention before he continues to climb.

His lips press against her collar bone. Sloppy, open mouthed kisses trail up to her neck. She instinctively moves her head to the side causing him to smirk. He immediately goes for his mark. He smirks as he thinks about it, his mark. His mark on his mate, his beautiful and perfect mate.

Claire whines as she can feel herself on the edge but not quite enough to finish. She's completely prepared to beg for it but then Elijah sinks his fangs into her neck, in her mark and he feed from her. The pleasurable sensation of him feeding from her sends her right over the edge. Her body jolts and cry leaves her lips.

Elijah growls animalistically as her blood becomes more rich with her orgasm. He tightens his jaw around her neck feeding roughly from her. Her blood is alluring and the most satisfying he's ever tasted. He could drain the entire world of blood and he wouldn't be as satisfied as he is when he drinks from her.

Claire slowly comes down from her high. Elijah retracts his hand from her pussy. He then pulls away from her neck, licking the excess blood before kissing her passionately. Claire moans against his lips before he pulls away, allowing her to catch her breath.

"You're amazing" Claire whispers looking at him. Elijah smirks and kisses her lips softly. He pulls away and they share a moment, simply looking in each others eyes. She smirks before climbing on top of him, straddling his waist. Their lips attack each other, neither of them feeling completely satisfied.

They only barely made it to Sarah's home by 1 to pick Madelyn up. Even their journey from the hotel to her house was filled with passionate kisses and lingering touches. The pair of them felt like it was absolutely impossible to stop. They would feel satisfied for only a few moments before their desire would spike and they would be at each other again. They were obsessed with each other.

Caroline suggested that Madelyn sleep in her room until their desire calmed down. Caroline then made Claire find a spell that worked as a silencing charm so that their nightly activities would be in private and so that the rest of the neighborhood could get some sleep.

It took about week before Elijah and Claire were even bearable to be around, even then it was difficult. The only time they truly stopped was when Claire took care of Madelyn or went to school. Even at school, Elijah came and whisked her away for a short time.

Elijah was right. Over time things became easier. His emotions weren't as bad to handle and Claire got the hang of keeping her thoughts private and staying out of Elijah's head. Becoming overly obsessed with Elijah and all the changes that came with completing the bond weren't the only differences Claire noticed.

The mark Elijah had given her truly made other vampires completely uncomfortable. Stefan wouldn't go anywhere near her, not that Claire particularly wanted him around. But Caroline found it hard to be around her sister. Caroline's instincts were screaming at her to stay away from Claire, it was even worse when Elijah was with Claire.

Elijah assured Claire that Caroline wouldn't feel her instincts flare as drastically the more time Caroline spent with them. Eventually it would calm down because Caroline would grow used to the feeling causing it to lessen.

"I have to go see a witch today" Elijah told Claire. The two of them were laying in bed together, neither of them wore clothes. In an hour, Claire would have to leave for school.

"What for?" Claire asked looking at him with a pout. He smirked and kissed her lips. She smirked pulling him on top of her. She enjoyed the pressure she felt when he laid on her, it was comforting.

"It's about Niklaus" Elijah whispers to her hesitantly. Claire loses her smile as she remembers Klaus. Elijah frowns his eyebrows, he didn't like her not smiling. So, he peppered her face with kisses until she was giggling. He grinned liking her like this a lot more.

"What are you doing with the witch?" Claire asks curiously. Elijah tucks some of her hair behind her ear, his eyes avoiding hers.

"I'm going to try and find him before he finds you." Claire's smile disappears again and Elijah frowns. "Elskan, you know it's for the best." He whispers to her. "I'm only trying to protect you. I cannot bear the thought of him harming you, of him harming Madelyn."

"But what if he doesn't?" Claire whispers looking into his eyes. "What if he doesn't hurt us? What if he accepts us?"

"I don't want to take that risk." He said gently. "You didn't spend the last thousand years with him. I know who Niklaus is. He's dangerous, he's unpredictable and he's paranoid. I fear he will only bring you pain and misery." Claire nods closer her eyes. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" He whispers peppering her face with kisses.

"I'm fine Elijah" Claire promises him. She grabs his face to stop his insistent kissing. "I haven't even met him. Our bond isn't strong enough to feel the affect of his death." She assures him.

"I just want to protect you." He reminds her. She smiles and kisses him softly.

"I understand." Claire whispers to him. "I'm going to be fine." She assures him.

"I love you" He whispers snuggling his head in her neck. Claire hums softly as he kisses his mark.

"I love you more, Elijah" Claire whispers rubbing his back.

Separating from Elijah knowing she wouldn't see him until tonight, or not even until the morning, was painful. She felt like she was going to have separation anxiety. Elijah didn't want to leave Claire, especially since he had to leave Mystic Falls to see his witch. But he knew she'd be alright, he'd know instantly if she wasn't.

"You two are unbearably cute" Caroline complements yet complains as they get in the car to drive to school.

"Jealous" Claire teases.

"Kind of hard not to be" Caroline mumbles. Claire smiles at her softly. "I see the way Elijah looks at you, how you two act around each other. It'd be nice to have something like that."

"You know, every supernatural creature has a soulmate" Claire reminds her.

"Yeah and it took Elijah how long to find you?" Caroline snipped slightly. "I haven't even had any fantasy dreams of my soulmate." Caroline grumbles.

"Well, maybe they're just not born yet" Claire shrugs. Caroline rolls her eyes. Claire reaches over and grabs her hand. "It'll be alright, Care-bear.. You'll meet the love of your life soon enough." Caroline smiles at Claire. "I can't wait until we graduate" Claire mutters.

"We still have another year to go." Caroline reminds her. Claire rolls her eyes as they get out of the car.

The entire day went by so slowly. All Claire wanted to do was go home and have Elijah there waiting for her. She wondered if Elijah had found Klaus yet. She didn't want Elijah to kill Klaus. She loves Elijah but she desired her other mates, including Klaus.

"Hey, Claire" Caroline said snapping her fingers in her sisters face. Claire snapped out of her thoughts. "I'm going to the Grill, wanna come?"

"Who are you going with?" Claire asked. Caroline smiled innocently. "Elena and Bonnie" Claire realized.

"Oh come on, Claire" Caroline whined. "You have Elijah back, can't we be friends again?" Caroline asked.

"Elena stabbed Elijah in the heart, Bonnie kept Elijah from me for weeks. I am not gonna just forgive them when 1. they haven't even apologized, 2. they don't trust me, 3. they'd do it again without worrying about what it does to me." Claire snapped. "So no, I'm not going to just be friends with them again."

"Claire" Caroline whimpered.

"But you do what you want Caroline, I'm not in charge of your life." Claire shrugs and walks away. Caroline sighs watching her leave.

"Rough day?" Claire turns her head seeing Alaric matching her pace. Claire frowns her eyes in confusion. She couldn't remember the last time she talked to him, if she ever has. In fact she remembered finding out that Alaric was the first to stab Elijah with the dagger but he took it out instead of leaving it in. Either way, he still stabbed Elijah.

"What do you want?" Claire practically growled. He raises his eyebrows at her.

"What's with the hostility, love?" He asked smirking. Claire stops walking and Alaric stands in front of her. "Something wrong?"

Something was wrong, she could feel it. She had been around Alaric a few times, never really talked to him but she's been around. Every time she was around him, she felt indifferent, she didn't really care about him. But now, she felt something different.

"Alaric, why are you talking to me? You guys don't really like me anymore, remember?" She asked raising an eyebrow.

"And how could anybody not like you, sweetheart?" He asks still smirking as he inches closer to her. Claire looks at him even more confused. "You're even more beautiful than in my dreams." He mutters pinching her chin lightly between his index finger and thumb.

"Klaus" She whispers in realization. She could feel the sparks flying through her nervous system at his touch. She could feel the light pull of the mating bond, it lighter than with Elijah seeing as he's in Alaric's body.

"Hello, sweetheart."
