"So there's this vampire chick that looks exactly like you going around pretending to be you?" Claire asked Elena as she helped her and Bonnie with the high school Carnival.

"Katherine looked just like you, it was freakish" Bonnie commented while Claire tried to picture it.

"She is my ancestor" Elena told them. "Hey, I moved the student booth into the cafeteria." She said obviously not wanting to talk about it but Bonnie and Claire did.

"Your vampire ancestor and she didn't just resemble you like a family member would. She was you." Bonnie stressed.

"Wait, how do we know if you really are Elena right now?" Claire asked frowning her eyebrows. Elena gave her a look. "What? It's an honest question" Claire shrugged defensively.

"I'm Elena" She reassured.

"That's what an imposture would say" Claire mumbled. Bonnie grinned while Elena just looked annoyed. "All jokes aside, why does she look exactly like you?"

"I don't know, I can't explain it" Elena said feeling the pent up frustration start to come out. "It's creepy, that's all I got" Elena told them.

"How do you know she's not still out there pretending to be you?" Bonnie asked.

"I don't know but I could sit here and be tortured by the not-knowing or I could get these prizes to the ring toss" Elena said grabbing the bag filled with prizes.

"Have you talk to Damon since he killed Jeremy or tried to kill Jeremy?" Bonnie asked.

"Wait, what?" Claire snapped. "He killed Jeremy?" Claire asked shocked.

"Jeremy is fine" Elena told her. "Damon got mad while we were talking and snapped his neck. He was wearing a ring that brought him back." Elena told her.

"What the fuck is the world coming too?" Claire mumbled rubbing her face.

"And no, Bonnie, I haven't and I won't and I don't want to talk about Damon or anything else that's vampire related ok?" Elena snipped. "I'm human and I have to do human stuff. Otherwise, I'm going to go crazy."

"Normal went out the window when the Salvatore's came" Claire commented. Elena gave her a look. Claire held her hands up in surrender.

"Ok, I'm sorry, I'll focus" Bonnie told her. "We have to make Caroline proud or she will kill us. I don't know how she does all of this." Bonnie stated.

"Well because she's not human, obviously" Claire commented smirking.

"Obviously" Bonnie agreed and the three of them laughed. The three of them separated and Claire looked around for Jeremy.

"Hey! Big foot!" Jeremy instantly turns his head towards her and smiled slightly. "Heard you died, gotta say, still good looking" Jeremy rolls his eyes.

"Subtlety, you should look it up" Jeremy said and continued to set up the booth. Claire smirked.

"Subtlety doesn't work with your thick head" Claire told him. "So, did coming back from the dead make you any smarter?"

"Probably not" Jeremy shrugged smirking at Claire. Claire grinned back. "How's Caroline?" He asked.

"A lot better, I'm gonna go see her later." Claire told him.

"Well, I'm glad" Jeremy said. Claire nodded in agreement.

"I'll see you around, try not to die again" Jeremy gives her a mock salute making Claire laugh a bit. She helped around the Carnival a little bit longer. She went to the hospital to visit Caroline only to find her not there.

"Caroline, where are you?" Claire asked once Caroline picked up the phone.

"I'm at the Carnival trying to find Matt." Caroline told her.

"You got discharged? Why didn't you tell me?" Claire asked slightly hurt.

"Didn't think about it" Caroline said shrugging. "I gotta go, I'll see you later/"

"Wait, Care-" Before Claire could finish Caroline hung up. "This girl, I swear" Claire muttered rolling her eyes before going back to the Carnival looking around for her sister. "Matt, Bonnie!" Claire shouted jogging over to them. "Have either of you seen Caroline?"

"She just ran off" Matt said feeling frustrated. "She's obviously pissed at me for something but for what, no clue" Matt said shrugging.

"What happened?" Claire asked him.

"She freaked out and she's been like that all day. Cool one minute and crazy and neurotic the next." Matt told her.

"She almost died, it's bound to mess with her head. Plus, she's Caroline." Bonnie said trying to make sense of things. Claire sighed feeling her Twin Alarm going off. She had a bad feeling about Caroline and she knew she wouldn't feel relaxed until she saw Caroline.

"Yeah, I'm used to the insecurities and all that. It's who she is, love it or hate it, but this seemed... I don't know... different.. more. I ca't explain it." Matt sighed.

"Well, I'm sure she's just having an off day" Claire told him. "I'm going to go try and find her." She told them before walking off. She pulled out her phone and tried to call Caroline. "Caroline, where are you?" Claire asked after she finally picked up after ignoring her first 3 calls.

"I killed him, Claire" Caroline whispered. Claire froze and stopped walking abruptly. "I couldn't... I couldn't" Caroline started crying.

"Caroline, I need you to tell me where you are" Claire said slowly.

"No! I could hurt you" Caroline sobbed.

"Care, I want to help you" Claire said softly. "But I can't help you if you don't let me" She told her gently.

"I could hurt you" Caroline whispered and Claire felt like she wasn't really listening to her.

"Caroline, please, just tell me where you are" Claire begged. However, Caroline just hung up. "Damn it, Caroline" Claire cursed feeling consumed with worry. She looked around frantically hoping to find where she would be. "Elena! Elena!" Claire shouted racing towards her friend.

"Claire, now's really not-" Elena went to say.

"It's Caroline" Claire said gaining both her and Stefan's attention. "I don't know where she is, I-I called her and sh-she said that" Claire's hands shook as she tried to explained.

"Ok, calm down" Elena said softly. "Deep breaths." Claire slowly did as Elena said. "Now tell me what happened"

"She told me she killed someone" Claire whimpered. "I tried to get her to tell me where she is but she wouldn't. Matt said she's been acting weird all day, I don't know what's wrong with her." Elena and Stefan shared a look. "What?" Claire asked seeing it.

"Come on" Elena said dragging her with them as they all looked for Caroline. Soon they find her by a dead body and Damon about to kill her. Claire gasped in fear and Stefan quickly raced forwards separating the two of them.

"Stefan!" Damon growled in annoyance.

"Get away from me! You killed me!" Caroline screamed frantically at Elena.

"No, no, no, no, Caroline. That wasn't me. You know that. That was Katherine" Elena tried to explained.

"NO! Then why did she look like you?! And why, why did she do this to me?" Caroline cried breaking Claire's heart.

"Caroline, it's ok" Claire said softly moving closer to her sister. Caroline looked at her terrified.

"No! Don't!" She begged making Claire stop. "Please, I don't wanna hurt you too" Claire smiled at her.

"You won't hurt me, Care-bear... I just wanna help." Claire whispered.

"Stefan, we've got to get her inside" Elena said looking at Stefan.

"It's alright, Caroline, come with me" Stefan urged.

"She will die, it's only a matter of time" Damon said and Claire glared at him fiercely.

"Go near my sister again, I dare you" Claire growled.

"Maybe so, but it's not gonna happen tonight" Stefan told his brother.

"Oh, yeah,it is" Damon said picking up the stake and racing to Caroline. Claire cried out in fear but Elena stopped him but moving in front of Caroline protectively.

"Damon, she's my friend." Elena told him. They stare at each other before Damon lowers his arm and Caroline relaxes.

"Whatever happens, it's on you." Damon warned. Claire moves closer to her sister, this time Caroline lets her.

"It's alright, Caroline, I'm here" She whispers in reassurance.

"Bonnie" Caroline whispers. Claire turns around to see the witch with a horrified expression on her face.

"No, you're not, you can't be" Bonnie whispers and reaches out to touch Bonnie. She gets the familiar feeling and moves away.

"Bonnie?" Caroline whispers not understanding.

"Oh, God!" Bonnie shouted seeing the body Caroline cried and Claire pulled her into her arms.

"It's alright, I'm here" Claire whispers softly.

"Come on, lets get her inside" Stefan muttered softly to Claire. She nods and leads Caroline to the bathroom. She then grabs some tissues and starts to clean her sister up.

"She hates me" Caroline cried. "Bonnie hates me." Claire looks at her sister knowing how she was feeling.

"No, no, she's just in shock." Stefan corrected her. "We all are."

"An what about Matt?" Caroline asked getting even more frantic.

"Shh" Claire whispers trying to calm her down as Stefan moves closer. He grabs a hold of Claire as he notices Caroline start to lose it.

"Trust me" Stefan whispers to Claire moving her away from her sister. Claire gives him a pleading look not used to not being able to help her sister. "One thing at one time" Stefan said turning to Caroline. "Let's get this blood off, come on." He grabs some paper towels and continues to clean her up.

Claire leans against the wall desperately trying to hold it together as she saw her sister crumbling apart. She wanted to help but she didn't know how, Stefan did.

"I'm a murderer. I'm a monster" Caroline whimpered.

"Look at me, your emotions are heightened right now. It's part of the transformation. It's completely normal. I promise you ok?" Stefan says trying to get through to her. Caroline looks in the mirror and sees her face change. She becomes more frantic and spins around.

"Why does this keep happening to my face?!" She cries covering her face.

"Look at me, look at me" Stefan said trying to sooth her. "Look at me" He says again. She cries and thrashes around slightly. "Caroline! Look at me! Look at my face, look at my face." She does and he changes it to look like hers had. She calms down a little. "You see that? When you feel the blood rushing, you tell yourself that you're going to get through it. That you're strong enough." She cries closing her eyes feeling completely overwhelmed. "Yes, yes, no matter how good it feels to give yourself over to it, you fight it off. You bury it. Watch me, watch me" He said and she looks at him watching his face go to normal. "It's the only way you're gonna survive this thing. Try." He encourages. "That's good" He nods.

"Why did Katherine do this to me?" Caroline whispers.

"I don't know, I wish I did." Stefan whispers. She starts to cry again. "Hey, hey, I promise you I will not let anything happen to you. Come here, come here" He whispers hugging her tightly. His eyes glance over to Claire who is silently crying.

"Thank you" She mouths to him sincerely. He smiled and nodded lightly as he comforted Caroline. "Come on, lets get you home" Claire said when they were apart.

"Wait" Caroline said.

"What if I hurt Madelyn?" Caroline said fearfully. Claire tenses. She loves Caroline but if she had too, she'd put Caroline down to protect Madelyn.

"I'll come by with Vervain. You can put it along her crib and if you come close, it'll snap you out of your daze" Stefan said. "You won't hurt her." Caroline nodded relaxing slightly.

"Come on, Care" Claire said leading her to the car.

"Is Bonnie gonna hate me forever?" Caroline whimpered. Claire sighed as they got into the car, Claire driving him.

"Remember when Bonnie and I weren't talking for a few months?" Caroline looked at her and slowly nodded. "Bonnie is a witch and I'm a Siphoner"

"Wait, what?" Caroline shifts more to look at her. "What are you talking about."

"Bonnie is a witch, you know spells and all that" Caroline nodded.

"Yeah, I got that part. What are you?" She asked confused.

"A Siphoner. I siphon magic from witches, I take their magic. I'm technically a witch but I have to take power from something else. It's painful for the other person but it makes me powerful." Claire explained.

"And I a.. Siphoner?" Caroline asked.

"Not that I know of" Claire shrugged. "But apparently I'm considered a freak, an abomination in supernatural world so she didn't talk to me." Caroline slowly nodded.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Caroline asked feeling hurt.

"I don't know, I didn't see a need too. It's not like I could have proved it to you."

"I would have believed you" Caroline said instantly.

"Oh really?" Claire said looking at her.

"You're my sister, of course I would have" Caroline said frowning her eyebrows.

"Just like you believed me about the men I draw in my notebooks" Claire snapped. Caroline pouted.

"I'm sorry" Caroline muttered. "For not believing you."

"Don't worry about it" Claire waved.

Dear Diary,
Today has been... emotional.. I feel like that's how every day has been lately. Overly emotional, overly overwhelming. I'm so mentally tired I can barely process what's happening around me.
The one thing I can process is the fact that Caroline is now a vampire. Katherine, some bitch that looks like Elena, decided it would be a good idea to kill my sister. While she had vampire blood in her system. So now there's that to worry about. As if I didn't have enough to worry about with Madelyn, Tyler suddenly deciding to try and step up, all the while trying to have a life of my own. Not to mention Bonnie is being... Bonnie. I've never missed boring Mystic Falls more than I do right now.
