Several days since Jisung started ignoring Minho, he tried to talk or at least ask the younger what he had done to make him avoid him. Minho believed he pushed everyone away, and his mood had dropped significantly because of that issue. At first, the boy seemed to want to be his friend, but all that had disappeared. He hated feeling so insecure about it, but it was inevitable. Everyone ended up moving away from him.
His friends didn't mention anything about it, and although they met during recess, Minho couldn't trust them either. They weren't real friends, more than classmates. For him, his life was empty, with nothing relevant and only people and fake smiles around him. He just wanted to understand and felt he had already gone through this. He felt as if Han Jisung had already done the same. It was unbelievable for him, so he wanted to understand what was happening.
However, Jeongin didn't seem to give up, and maybe, just maybe, he enjoyed his company. It was the only thing he asked for, that someone was really there for him, despite his insecurities and the shitty life he had. He just needed a bit of love, the one he was receiving.
Jisung felt a bit sad because he had promised to take care of Minho, but he supposed that Jeongin was taking care of him, so he tried to cheer up. All he wanted was for Minho to feel good. He knew the other boy was making him feel that way.
He snorted as he closed his locker. He had taken a long time to open it because he felt scared of finding something terrible inside. Because he hadn't opened it by remembering his dream, he hadn't realized he also received a letter that seemed a bit strange. He had no idea who had sent it since the signature simply said "Anonymous," but he felt sorry for hurting that person since he liked someone else.
"Stupid," he whispered to himself.
His fainting spells became more and more frequent. The nurse told him he should go to the hospital since it was abnormal, but Jisung was almost 100% sure that his dream had something to do with that.
He walked to the residence with his head down. He hadn't fainted, but he was exhausted by everything that happened. He felt overwhelmed by the loneliness. Jisung didn't hate Minho, but he wanted to make him feel loved, and he already had someone who made him feel that way.
The older boy's gaze followed his steps in silence without the other noticing. Why did he look so lonely? Somehow, this angered him or made him feel sorry since he didn't understand why they couldn't be together and support each other instead of moving away. He pressed his lips softly and began to walk to his house, letting go of Jisung from his life. He felt he was giving too much importance to his presence, but something still tied him to Jisung. Minho didn't want it because the other wanted him away, and Minho would let him go.
Jisung entered his room and lay on the bed, trying to sleep while repressing the urge to cry. He didn't understand why his dream had been so vivid, with tears, hugs, cold and pain. Although he wished this was a dream and that what he supposedly dreamed was the reality, he knew very well that it wasn't. Jisung wanted to go to the past, fix everything and prevent Jeongin from sending that letter.
Minho felt dizzy for a moment, assuming he was sick because the headache didn't leave him, and he still felt that way when he got home. He entered, and Jeongin's smile greeted him, seeing him next to Seungmin and Hyunjin in the living room.
"It's good that you're back, hyung! I missed you so much!" exclaimed the youngest as he approached. "We're going to the movies. Do you want to watch a movie with us?"
"I don't know, Innie..." Minho muttered.
He tensed up when Jeongin got closer, hugging and moving him from side to side, insisting that he should go with them. Minho began to feel quite uncomfortable, so he grabbed him by the arms and pushed him away a little. The youngest was surprised and stopped while the other boys watched them curiously.
"Uh? What's wrong?" His high-pitched voice was starting to annoy the older one, whose head still hurt.
"I'm tired, but we can go another day, okay? I'll pay."
"Will it be a date?" Minho saw the excitement in his eyes, feeling sorry to say no.
"Sure, we'll go to the places you want." Minho messed up his hair and just gave him a small smile.
He bowed and walked to his room, still thinking about Jeongin. Sometimes, he felt that the boy was too affectionate and made him uncomfortable, but he also knew it was his fault for not knowing how to respond to those gestures. Anyway, he wondered why he couldn't be like Jisung. He cursed himself mentally since he couldn't stop thinking about him. Even though he wanted to forget him, it seemed impossible.
His body felt heavy, and surprisingly, as soon as he lay on his bed, he and Jisung fell asleep simultaneously.
