Always Remember -Ineffable Husbands- Epilogue: Wedding Bells Ringing
A/N: TW: not really anything this is a soft chapter
Ahh this is also the last chapter. I'm going to miss writing this so mu- WAIT! I had this ۰۪۫W۪۫۰۰۪۫O۪۫۰۰۪۫N۪۫۰۰۪۫D۪۫۰۰۪۫E۪۫۰۰۪۫R۪۫۰۰۪۫F۪۫۰۰۪۫U۪۫۰۰۪۫L۪۫۰ idea the other day. This is going to be a series. Okay. So this was mostly Azira getting out of the cult. Well there's more story to tell. I'm writing Gabriel's side of this. Also I'm writing what happens after this.
Also I love you guys.
Now I'm going to provide reading material.
Three Years Later
"You are the light of my life, Azira. I have always loved you, and always remember I will. I'll be by your side. You're the most grand thing in my life. Some days your fussy and want to lay in bed and eat crepes. I never mind. You always want me to cuddle with me and watch TV while you do so. Who would I be to object? Other days you're my angel in a dark room, my sunshine at night. I fall and you pick me up. Then there's days where sometimes you get stranded out at the sea of sadness. I do my best to pull you to shore, or either go down with you. Whatever happens, by the end of it we stand together. Me and you. I love you so much Azira."
Azira began to tear up. "Oh I said I wouldn't cry. Anthony, I love you more than the stars above. The way you make me feel matches no other feeling. I never thought I'd see this day. You saved my life, and you gave me a new one. You gave me the world. I know sushi buffets, long walks in the park and libraries aren't much to most people, but you showed me them. You showed me the world. I love you for that. Sometimes you drive too fast, or perhaps drink too much wine, but it's enjoyable. You make me laugh, you make me smile, you make me cry- you're making me smile and cry at the same time right now- and you causing me to feel those things means the world to me. I love you."
They smiled at each other. They were so focused with looking into each other's eyes that they almost didn't hear the man behind the podium ask, "Do you Anthony J. Crowley-Hawthorne, take Azira Phale to have and to hold, in sickness and health, in good times and bad, in hard and easy times?"
Anthony said, "I do."
Do you Azira Phale, take Anthony J. Crowley-Hawthorne to have and to hold, in sickness and health, in good times and bad, in hard and easy times?"
"I do!"
"Does anyone object to the marriage?"
Nobody said anything. That was a relief. Anthony expected to hear something.
"I pronounce Anthony J. Crowley and Azira Phale Crowley-Hawthorne husbands. You're husbands now. What are you waiting for? Kiss already!"
Anthony kissed Azira. Tears were running down their cheeks. People cheered and clapped.
After breaking the kiss Anthony picked Azira up. He had been practicing after all. There had been plenty of times where Azira fell asleep on the couch, and it presented an opportunity.
Dinner went spectacularly. The cake was definitely Azira's favorite dinner item. It was French Vanilla.
"You look so handsome, Azira," Anthony said to him as they were eating.
"You look more handsome," Azira said with a smile.
Anthony grabbed Azira's hand and said, "Nobody could ever match your beauty, my angel."
Azira blushed and said, "I'm no angel."
Anthony asked, "Are you going to love me like a devil?"
Azira smirked and said, "Maybe just for tonight, dear boy."
"Hmm... I thought we were driving to Florida tonight. It's a ten hour drive."
Azira said, "I don't think you're going to get much rest after that drive. Don't think about all that right now though. You should eat."
Anthony groaned, "Fine. I suppose you're right. Ngh."
After Anthony finished his plate Gabriel stood up and tapped his wine glass.
"Oh God, he's going to make a speech," Anthony groaned.
Gabriel stood up on his chair and projected his voice out to the crowd. "Uh so I didn't write a speech so this is all unplanned. Ahem- So I'm assuming we all know Anthony J. Crowley and Azira Phale Crowley-Hawthorne... wow that's a mouth full Azira. Why did you ever choose to have Phale moved from being your last name to your middle name?- That doesn't matter. I'm not here to criticize. I'm here to say something nice about those two. The nicest thing I can say is the two of them are- oh!"
Gabriel fell off the chair. He crashed onto the floor.
"Ow!"
Beezy helped Gabriel up and said, "You're tall enough. You don't need to stand on a chair."
Gabriel continued, "-They are life savers! I'd be dead without the two of them! I had a weird childhood. If it weren't for those two secretly snogging in the bowling alley bathroom-"
Beezy shouted, "More like in the middle of Walmart at 11:30 at night!"
Azira stood up and shouted, "Anthony broke into my house one night and kissed me!"
Anthony laughed and said, "I did not break into your house. You let me in your window."
Gabriel looked over at Anthony and said, "I didn't know you did that. Alrighty then. Forced entry and apparently he stole a single heart. Well anyways it saved my life. Saved their own lives. Saved plenty more people's lives. It is something I'll forever be thankful for. Also just saying Azira is a pretty good pastry chef. Thankful for the cream puffs too. Someone out there had to tell me it's alright to sully my sacred temple with sweets and gross matter. Now for Anthony. I've got a few words about Anthony. I never thought I'd meet the day where I found someone who's better at bowling than me. Now I'm just waiting for someone who can beat Anthony. He's a great man. I just hope he's good enough for Azira."
Azira said, "I can confirm he is. That's why I married him."
Gabriel said, "Breaking news. Anthony is confirmed good enough for Azira, confirmed by Azira himself."
Anthony said, "Go sit down now. Let someone else have a turn."
Beezy stood up on the table and said, "I got something. Unlike Gabriel I planned this. So, my dear brother Anthony got married today. He's not my biological brother, obviously. I mean who would want to be biological siblings with him? No offense to his actual biological siblings who are here. I don't have anything on Emmie... The rest of you- ah you're fine. Anthony is different. He's smarter than he acts. He's shown me how to be stronger. The idiot may be a bit rebellious but then claim to be cooperative with the law. Also he did break in Azira's house to kiss him one night. I drove him there. Fun fact, we also once ran over a stop sign for the hell of it. He's definitely a feral ginger. His attitude is like a bad hair ball. On the other hand his husband is the sweetest, loveliest cat- I mean man- I have ever met. For a while there he was about as feral as Anthony, but every man in his life needs to go feral for a while. I suppose these two went feral and got married. Ahe I wish then the best. Congrats you two."
Azira leaned his face against Anthony's neck and laughed. "They just compared your attitude to a hair ball."
Anthony rolled his eyes and said, "I think their speech was worse than a hair ball."
Azira said, "Oh hush. It wasn't bad."
They then continued to listen to more speeches. Then they danced.
Azira at heart was a dancer. He was in fact the only member in the history of New Beginnings to ever be able to dance. It was just something the cult didn't do.
Azira did.
But now times were different. Azira was relaxed and in Anthony's arms, swaying softly.
"Hey Azira?"
"Hmm?"
"Always remember, I love you."
