Tumblr Request- "When Hell Knocks"

Request from Tumblr: after the apocadidnt, Crowley gets attacked by some other demons who figured out something was off and he has to revert to his real form, which is not the snake from the first episode but something more Eldricht and horrifying looking and Aziraphale was never EVER supposed to see. cue Zira finding him and not only kicking demon ass but also not even reacting slightly disturbed or disgusted by Crowleys form like he feared and just being glad that his Husband is okay.

He thought they were going to be okay. He thought Heaven and Hell would leave them alone. He thought... oh he thought.

Now he was just thankful Aziraphale hadn't been there too. The Demons probably would've killed Zira if the Angel had been in Crowley's flat. They caught him when he was vulnerable. No more Holy Water to spare, nothing to protect himself. All he could remember was the door creaking open and hands capturing his arms. Anything to get away. Anything.

In a rush of adrenaline, Crowley's limbs flailed, a hopeless attempt to fend off the other Demons and in that attempt, the ring went flying.

 Aziraphale's ring

A flurry of emotions washed over Crowley and he fell limp, his Earthly form seemingly starting to melt. Instead, a new creature stood. His true form. A glow came from within its body, through the unnecessary ribcage. New arms sprouted from its sides, a long spiny tail type limb sprouted and whipped its way around at one of the other Demons. An animalistic growl was emitted and the Demons smirked. They had gotten exactly what they wanted.

Each of the four Demons pounced on Crowley. With him in his true form, the other Demons could have a chance with turning him in, for they had seen past his snake eyes.

After all Crowley did to them, causing Armageddon to come to a screeching halt, killing one of their very own? How could they let him get away with it all? Not to mention the relationship with the Angel?

A large crash was heard from the room over and when all eyes turned to the doorway, they saw an Angel. Aziraphale.

"Crowley!!" The Principality called out and the Demons rose from their positions over Crowley, growling.

Crowley cowered in the corner, silently willing himself into a more human form, something that wouldn't disgust his lover. Anything.

But he couldn't just sit by while Aziraphale got killed. A cry caused Crowley's head to snap up, his eyes wide, but it was not a cry from Zira's mouth. In the Angel's hand was one the antique swords Crowley had gifted. Never had he thought Aziraphale would actually wield the sword, nevermind actually kill- well discorporate in this case- someone.

Crowley's mouth gaped open as he felt the sliminess begin to disappear from his skin, returning him to a human form. His eyes still glowed brightly as he watched the Principality fight. He fought off the Demons Crowley was helpless against.

There was a certain gracefulness in the Angel's moves, one that showed he had fought before and this was something Crowley was aware of. A swing to the right, one to the left another up and stabbing through the stomach, Crowley saw one of the Demon's blood begin to run down the sword toward Aziraphale's hands.

"ANGEL WATCH THE BLOOD!!" Crowley cried out, his voice still raspy.

A Demon's blood was poisonous, particularly to an Angel. Perhaps not enough to kill one, but if the blood were to touch Aziraphale's hands it would render him vulnerable momentarily.

Aziraphale retracted the sword from the Demon's body, carefully, trying not to get the blood on himself. The last Demon sat wounded against the wall opposite to Crowley.

"You don't realize what kind of monster you're protecting, angel." The Demon spat the last word, glaring at the pair in front of them.

Crowley glanced away, his head hanging slightly. Aziraphale was never going to look at him the same way again. He was a monster.

"You don't know Crowley the way I do. He is no monster." Aziraphale frowned the injured Demon, "Now leave! Run back to Hell and make sure you never bother us again."

The Principality held his ground when the Demon growled and began to stand, and when he raised his sword ever so slightly, they made a run for it. A whimper found it's way from Crowley's throat and he looked to the floor as Aziraphale hurriedly approached him.

"My dear, are you okay...?" Within an instance, the Angel's wings were spread out and wrapping around the two as Aziraphale brought Crowley into a tight hug.

"Yo-you weren't meant to see me like that..." Crowley choked out, tears building in his eyes as he waited for Aziraphale to push him away and leave him.

But that never came. Instead were the soft words that Aziraphale spoke.

"Nothing can deter my love for you, Crowley..."
