Ineffable | Twenty-One
'Let's start with introduction!'
Koushi grinned slightly at Kenma's announcement. Finally. After years of hiding and lying, doing everything secretly, finally they could reveal themselves.
Koushi turned to look at the number 10. The young man had stood on the railings, one of his hand leaned on the wall to make sure he didn't fall. His other hand pulled down the handkerchief.
"The ultimate decoy of The Golden Cats!" Shouyou yelled, pulling down his hood as he yelled, "Hinata Shouyou!"
Koushi noticed how one of the Crows had a shocked look on his face, but didn't say a thing.
Next, number 9. The tall man did the same, pulling off his handkerchief. His excited snickers could be heard around the room, while he gave the Crows a mocking salute.
"The Golden Cats' apparatus and supply controller!" he yelled, "Haiba Lev, at your service!" The hood was pulled down, and Lev was grinning wide from ear to ear.
After Lev was number 8. "The guardian deity of The Golden Cats, Nishinoya Yuu!"
Koushi watched as Yuu patted number 7's back, reassuring him to do the intro.
"The Golden Cats' spy, the information gatherer. Tanaka Ryunosuke."
Now it's his own turn. Number 6. Koushi took off his handkerchief, and pulled back his hood, "The Golden Cats' Medic," Koushi sighed slightly, "Sugawara Koushi."
Medic. Sometimes he wonder if he's fitting for that title. It wasn't like he's a doctor or anything. Well, he did once studied for that, but he quit after a year and a half. He found himself bored with theories, and preferred to do a job that won't demand anything from him.
"Neko's assistant, The Golden Cats' secretary," number 5 introduced herself, "Shimizu Kiyoko."
Just 3 more, and then the leader. Koushi won't say he's excited, it's more like curiosity.
"Computer specialist, The Golden Cats' hacker," this time, it was number 4. He had put his gun away, as he leaned his arms on the railings, "Tsukishima Kei."
Now, the final three.
"Co-founder, The Golden Cats' technician," number 3 seemed like he wanted to get out of the place already. He harshly snatched off the handkerchief around his lower face, and pulled down his hood, "Iwaizumi Hajime."
Oikawa, as Koushi recognized him, had gritted his teeth, and almost let out a scream of anger. Before he could, number 2 had spoke up.
"Co-founder, second in command. Documentation specialist in The Golden Cats." The statement was overwhelmingly calm, he slowly lowered his camera and gently pulled down his handkerchief, and also the hood on his head, "Akaashi Keiji."
Chaos erupted almost instantly. Most of them were yelling at the gang members, but they all kept their calm. Not long after, though, the gym door was slammed open, and a figure waked in.
Koushi couldn't help but smile. Typical. That leader of theirs always likes attention, and he sure is doing a damn well job to get it.
"Number one. Founder, leader of The Golden Cats." The criminal leader closed the door behind him, and shoved his gloved hands in his pockets, as he made his way towards the Crows. All of them stepped aside out of caution, but Kuroo stood still on his spot even when his nemesis stopped right in front of him.
"Hello, Tetsu-chan," the criminal greeted, his left hand pulled down the handkerchief that covered the lower half of his face, while his right hand was stretched out towards Kuroo.
Kuroo only glared, as the man in front of him pulled back his hood, revealing his face. Golden hair with dark-brown roots, and a pair of sharp, golden eyes.
"I am Neko."

Kuroo never thought their meetings would be this peaceful. He would admit that indeed, those Cats has caught him off guard, but they weren't as violent as people said they were.
After Neko showed himself, all of them were led towards another room, a spacious lounge where all of them were welcomed with warm couches and cold, fresh drinks.
At first they were hesitant, but after seeing the way those Cats acted, they decided it wasn't that dangerous to trust those Cats.
However, Kuroo decided to take Neko's offer to talk privately. The room they went into was just beside the lounge, separated by only a large glass window, and Kuroo was glad he could still keep an eye on his subordinates.
"Take a seat?"
Kuroo reluctantly did so, and Neko sat across him. It was silent for a while, until the criminal spoke up.
"I'll let you ask anything you want, but before that, I have a few questions," Neko started.
"Go ahead."
The criminal took a deep breath, before he looked at Kuroo straight in the eye.
"Tell me, Kuroo-san," the nickname's absence startled him a bit, "What crossed your mind the first time you see me? Be honest."
"... You seemed familiar. That's all."
Kuroo was surprised when Neko ran his fingers through his hair in a desperate way, "That vague? I was hoping for something more..." he muttered, "Truthfully, you were supposed to remember me. But well, I can't change anything."
"What are you talking about?"
"Would you like to know my real name? Maybe it would ring a bell."
Kuroo sighed. "Please do tell me, Kozume-san."
"Kenma," he corrected. Kuroo frowned, before his eyes widened in realization.
"Kozume Kenma," he repeated. It felt familiar. It felt so right, so perfect as it rolled in his tongue. Neko, or Kenma, gave him a small, hesitant nod, still watching, waiting.
And then it hit him. Kozume Kenma, that quiet game addict who had been his best friend for years. The young, kind hearted thief who did his best to survive and took care of his parents. That sweet boy who had stayed with him despite his attitude.
"Kitten."
Kenma smiled softly at the nickname. "Took you long enough, Kuro," he whispered, before he buried his face in his hands. His body started shaking slightly, and before he could say anything else, Kenma was already sniffling, desperately trying to regain his composure.
"... Kenma? What's wrong?"
"It's just... Where were you, Kuroo? Where have you been? I needed you, and you weren't there."
Kuroo stood up and let out a huff, as he turned his gaze away and looked at all their underlings on the other room, "I was caught in a small accident, and well... I had retrogade amnesia. They said I only remembered a few people that were close to me, so... That's it."
Kenma froze. And then, ever so slowly, he raised his head, and let out a chuckle. "That's it, you say? I guess I wasn't that important for you, huh?" Kuroo quickly turned to look at Kenma, and his breath hitched at the hateful glint in his golden eyes, "I should have known, Kuro. I was foolish. I held onto your promise for so long, thinking that one day, you will return."
Kuroo flinched, "I... I'm sorry, Ken. I'm sorry. That incident happened because I was reckless, too, so I think it was my fault."
"I'm not blaming anyone here. But you should know that you were the last one that I had, and yet you forgot me."
"Kitten..."
"The day you left, my mother died. My father committed suicide, and I started living in the streets," he recalled, "Funny how so many things happened in a day, huh?"
"You're being sarcastic, right?"
"As if," Kenma snapped, "I'm serious. I never thought I would be able to survive this far, either. Humans needed social interactions, and for years I don't have that. You think I-..." Kenma stopped when he realized that he had a pair of large arms around him, hugging him tightly.
"Kenma, it's enough." the Neko's small figure trembled, "I understand. And I'm really sorry, Ken. I know things won't ever be the same, but please, calm down. I know you never talk this much. You're freaking out, I can tell."
"... Maybe... But I'm not that innocent anymore, Kuro..."
"It doesn't matter," Kuroo replied, as he ran his fingers through Kenma's hair, while the blonde himself leaned onto his friend's chest, listening to the heartbeat. "I know were supposed to kill each other, with our jobs and all. But for now, let me stay like this for a while."
Kuroo's voice were almost trembling, as he tried to hold back his tears, "Let's pretend that we aren't enemies, that we're only best friends who were finally reunited. Let's pretend that nothing bad happened between both of us."
"... If you say so..."
"Thank you, Kitten."
