Ineffable | Three

Tanaka Ryunosuke never thought he would have lived this far. He had been living as a daredevil for years, and he would be so content just to work as a small shop's cashier.

Yet here he was now. A senior member of a famous gang, and also working in a military's special force. With a spy status, too.

Well, that didn't change the fact how he still had to work with some idiots. The text he received only made him chuckle as he walked towards the parking lot.

'Ryu-san!!!!! Pick me up!!! You can, right??? RIGHT?!?!?! I BOUGHT SUPPLIES!!!!! I'll be waiting!!!'

Lev. What a surprise, the man didn't even say where he would be waiting. Although, of course it wouldn't be hard to find him. Haiba Lev, after all, had an abnormal height which definitely would make it easier for others to spot him.

'Alright. Just stay there and wait, don't cause any commotion.' Ryu sent his reply, before he scrolled down his inbox to see another message.

'Ryu, pick Lev up and then go to the station-A. We'll start at 11.'

From the leader himself, Kenma Kozume. He always inform each members about their meet ups individually, and all of them received different messages.

Ryu liked how close their leader is with them.

He entered his van and began to drive, through the busy streets of the city, his eyes looking for a certain tall silver-haired man.

Now that he thought about it, it was strange. The Golden Cats was founded by Keiji, Hajime, and Kenma. But why do they chose Kenma as the leader? Among the three, he was the smallest, the most shy, the quietest. Hajime was more of a leader material, with his power and his strict behavior. Or maybe Keiji, he was calmer than Kenma and, although it doesn't look like it, Keiji was much better at disciplining people.

On that matter, Koushi said that it was Kenma's idea to create the gang. The Golden Cats's name was taken after him, with his golden cat-like eyes (soon he also dyed his hair).

Only a few knew (the founders, Kiyoko, Koushi, Kei and himself), that among all of them, Kenma was the most ambitious. He's not a kitten protected by his underlings.

He's a wild cat watching his prey.

Ryunosuke skidded into a stop as soon as he spotted his junior, standing on frpnt of a shop like the idiot he is. Ryu opened the window, and yelled.

"Oi! Lev!"

"Ryu-san!!!" the younger male replied, "You did come!"

"... I'm not that evil..." he mutered, "Come here already!"

"Okay!!!"

Kenma left the coffee shop in hurry, zipping up his red jacket and went towards station-A. In other words, that large station in the middle of the town. A few members insisted on using codes, and, though he didn't fancy using, in the end they did.

Kenma pulled out his phone, checking the time and smiled slightly. 8 o'clock. He had 3 hours left, and so he decided to go back to his apartment.

It wasn't all big and fancy. It was cheap, small, and he didn't mind. Kenma preferred to live alone, so even a house for himself wouldn't be worth it. Besides, he spent more time at Kiyoko's, so why bother?

He unlocked the front door, before entering the place and took off his shoes. Kenma walked further, towards the small living room where he dropped his bag and sat on the couch.

Closing his eyes, he was once again lost in his thoughts.

It was Kuroo, right? Kuroo Tetsurou, that 'ravenette hottie', as how Terushima called him. Kenma never forgot those eyes, not even after more than 10 years they were apart. No, he couldn't have mistaken anyone else as Kuroo.

A soft chuckle escaped his lips, and before he knew it, he started laughing. Kenma laughed, clutching his stomach as he shook his head, trying to hold back his amusement with no avail.

"Hey, Kuroo!" he yelled to no one in particular, raising from his seat, "Do you even recognize me? Do you even remember me?! You never returned! YOU LEFT, AND GONE TO NOWHERE!!"

Kenma sat back dowm on the couch, huffing slightly as he began to play with a small lighter he pulled out from his pocket.

"Kuroo Tetsurou," he spoke up, "I never forget what you told me that winter. 'You'll make a mess and I'll be there to drag you out.' I'm still waiting, Kuroo. You haven't even found me yet."

"Meow..."

Kenma paused, and looked down, to see his cat staring at him with a hopeful gaze. He couldn't help but the smile and picked up the golden cat, and scratched his black-tipped ears.

"Hey, Pudding. Hungry?"

Another 'meow'. Kenma chuckled, leaving his seat, still holding the cat, as he walked towards the kitchen.

His phone suddenly rang, and Kenma picked it up.

'Ah, Kenma!'

"Koushi. What's the occasion?"

'Just checking on you. Your voice's hoarse, have you been crying?'

"The opposite, actually," Kenma replied, "Laughing and screaming."

'You indeed are a psychopath,' Koushi commented, chuckling, while Kenma shook his head.

"I'm more of a sociopath. Anyways, will you be there early?"

'I can pick you up if you want. Where are you?'

"My apartment. You don't have to, anyways. I still have to eat dinner and so on, unless you want to join me?"

'I've already eaten, so no, thank you. Guess I'll see you there?'

"Right. Be careful, Koushi."

Koushi hummed in reply and hung up, leaving Kenma alone again in the kitchen. He patted Pudding's head, causing the feline to purr in happiness. Kenma grinned slightly, turning off the stove and grabbed the last cup noodle on the table, pouring down the boiling water into it and closed the lid again.

He sat and pulled out a pen and papers. As he waited for the noddle, Kenma started sketching for his next graffiti in that night. Most of his works contained felines, while Koushi usually preferred crows. Keiji draws owls, and Hajime often created abstracts or text arts. The others usually joined in those they're interested in, although usually Kenma only had Lev to help him.

Lev himself never intended to join the gang. He had been living in the streets for years as an orphan, until Kenma took him in. Their ages have only a year gap, but Kenma, in his own ways, took care of Lev. And everyone respects the young leader for all he did for them.

Kenma smiled in satisfaction as he finished his sketch. A cat with golden fur, sitting calmly. It has a pair of large red eyes and it was grinning, revealing bright shark-like teeth. The cat was biting a silver dog tag, with a text on its metal plate:

'Come on, White Crow. Catch this Golden Cat.'
