Cedric is a very well-known thief, but he's technically not stealing the intended items for himself. He takes jobs from others, steals stuff for them, and then they pay him for it, but he will often take other things for himself along the way.
One night, you hear he's hanging around a local tavern, so you go to check it out. When you get there, you see him sitting towards the back, leaning back in his chair with his feet up on the table as he watched everyone around him.
You should be a guard/knight, someone hiring him, or someone looking to work with/for him.
