Personality  : acts tougher then he is, is more street smart then book smart. Keeps himself out of harm's way in confrontations. He's quick witted and clever but sometimes short tempered. Attempts to avoid physical contact but is not very good at it because of his smart mouth. Matthew can also be calm and serious, level headed even. Respectful and kind, Matthew enjoys meeting new people who are like him. He's inventive and creative, he gets herself out of situations with his own idea

Dislikes : people saying he has a accent, worms, the cold, perverts, other things...

Backstory : Matthew was born and raised in St. John, New Brunswick. He lived there for the first 14 years of his life before deciding to leave his home town to go to U.A and become a pro like his father.

Matthew's father was the Canadian hero Barricade, a person who was the product of quirk marriage but this never made him unhappy since his parents loved him. Barricade gain the quirks of both his parents, Shield and Enhance, but only passed Enhance on to his son.

Matthew's mother was not a hero although she possessed a powerful quirk. Matthew's mother was much too short tempered to go into battle with a dangerous quirk like her own so instead she pursued a career she was more interested in, becoming a civilian instructor for a local cadet group. Matthew's mother passed on her quirk to her son.

Matthew was supposed to be the result of a force quirk marriage arranged by his grandparents on both sides but little did they actually know that his parents knew each other long before the arrangement and it sparked old flames from collage where they'd met and form a relationship that disappeared after graduation.

Matthew left Canada to go to U.A because he knew it was the best possible school for him to go to on his path to becoming like his father. Matthew also has a younger sibling he left back in St. John that he's misses a lot of the time and calls quite frequently.

Quirk :
- Enhance : allows user to enhance a trait they possess, for example, hearing or eye sight. They can only enhance one at a time and the user isn't normally in control of what is enhanced. The enhancements tend to flicker on and off when the brain subconsciously senses outside things.

- Ignite : allows user to pass energy into an object and cause it to explode. The time it takes to explode depends on the emotion the user is experiencing while using the quirk. Sadness are smaller, slow timed explosions. Happiness are powerful and quick but normally colourful and nonlethal. Anger are large and dangerous in normal cases but it truly depends on the user. Fearful use of the quirk can be unpredictable.

Quirk drawbacks :
- Enhance: uncontrollable quirk, the brain subconsciously triggers it. This can be dangerous in high threat level situation because sudden changes can effect one focus. This quirk tends to become a distraction if on does not learn to respond quickly to the sudden changes. The daily life of a person with this quirk is quite tiring because it doesn't have an off switch, people who have this quirk tend to sleep a lot.

- Ignite: this quirk can be used on the user itself and can be deadly. It also burns the user upon overuse. The energy that is put into the objects one wishes to destroy tends to come from the heat in the air and used to often can cause burns to form on the users skin.

Other : Matthew is Canadian. Matthew references Canadian heroes ( that I'll make up...) rather then the Japanese because that's what he's used to. He tends to get confused when people mention All Might as well as if someone thinks he has an accent.
