The Seal Selkie
Note: I had to fight for a while to figure out scenes for this character, but I think the couple I got are decent! The first one I got from a comic, so I loosely based it on that, the comic may also be from a story someone's made- but I wasn't able to find any credit for that or the story to direct anyone if they're interested in that.
Regardless, I hope it still works well enough!
Just like the last selkie page, I share a warning that there is mention of nudity in this page. When she's not in her animal form, she'll be in a human form that is naturally nude. Do not be weird/perverted about it! Consent is everything!
Name: Meill
Gender: Female, she/her
Age: 20 years old
Appearance: When she's in her animal form, she looks like a seal, and without it, she looks like this human form
Personality: Meill is very friendly. She's soft spoken, but not really all that shy. She'll ask question straight forward, maybe sometimes bluntly. You can trust that she'll give you total honesty. Kind, thoughtful, and trusting. But also loyal, once you've earned that. She also loves attention and storytelling, maybe sometimes too much.
Backstory:
Meill has lived an easy and carefree life.
A selkie is a shapeshifter. Selkie-folk switch from their animal type to their human form with the help of a pelt or "coat", shedding this pelt reveals a typically beautiful human from what was once an animal. But there's a catch to this amazing ability. If a person were to steal and hold this pelt away from the creature while they were in their human form, they would be trapped in this form, unable to turn back into an animal and return to their outside nature.
Many steal these coats and trap the selkie in marriage, the selkie forced to obey their will as long as they have their coat. The moment they have their pelt back though... the selkie will run. Leaving marriage, kids, family- anything behind, because their nature isn't to be tied down by such things, not in that form. They yearn for their nature.
Meill thankfully has not been personally hurt by these tales, but she's grown up with them. Tales of her selkie sisters being taken by greedy humans, forced to conform to their world, unable to escape. To try and return to the deep waters without their pelts, well, they'd drown. They are trapped on the land, until they can take back their pelts. She, like many others, are terrified to be met with this fate.
Still, with so little hurt in her life, she's far more trusting and kinder than some of her selkie family.
Scene 1: (I'd say you're totally free to go creative for this one setting wise! You could be a royal from some place, though I will be making a separate royal scene, or it could be modern times in a human setting world, or a magical world. It'll be up to you, so I'll try to be vague for the set up!)
You were a child when you first met.
You still remember its name, Meill.
It was a silly trip to the artic beach. Your family had managed to find a pretty secluded spot, away from spying eyes.
You played in the water, going deeper and deeper into the waves, happy to feel the sand under your feet and the cool waves on your skin.
You nearly got swept under a few times... you almost slipped under the waves, but something pushed against your side, bringing you closer to the shore.
It had been a small seal, a baby, it's eyes wide but oddly human and intelligent.
You don't remember much past that; you had been so young. You remember playing, and you can faintly recall a voice from the seal, who shared its name and called you by yours through the hours.
Your parents were amused by the childish tale you shared, and in the end, you left with them, saying goodbye to the brief friend.
Growing up you figured it had been a dream, or an imaginary friend, a story you created for fun. But you never did forget its name.
It's been years later; you have your own life now. You've moved away, to a wonderful place you used to vacation with family. The same place of your imaginary friend.
You thought, for old times' sake, that you'll visit the beach. It was as beautiful as you remember, so you spent the day there. It was getting dark by the time you thought about leaving again the wind cold and picking up fast.
Well, until you heard splashing fast towards the shore. A seal! And it was clambering out almost clumsily onto the shore, scooting slowly. You could have laughed, thinking of your imaginary child friend. It seemed the creature didn't notice you, because it stopped beside a few rocks further into land, rubbing a head against it gently.
And then its skin was shed off. An adult woman was emerging from the fallen pelt, stretching out webbed hands slowly.

Scene 2: (This is the royal scene! Just for some more touch of drama)
You live by a beautiful beach, in a beautiful, extravagant castle.
Because you are a royal. Maybe you're the queen/king, maybe only an heir. Maybe you love your life and your subjects. Maybe more than anything you wish to escape and leave this life for something new and exciting. Thats really all up to you.
What you do know, though, is that you love watching the ocean outside of your window and balcony. The breeze is always strong and wonderful, and you are high enough, that you see all of the beautiful waves.
Occasionally, you leave in secret, just to walk along those shores. Tonight, you needed an escape. Maybe you had a stressful meeting, gotten bad news, or whatever else happens in your life as royalty, but you needed the reason away.
Tonight, while you walked along, you found something strange. Not just one, but several seal coats laid among the rocks. You were confused by the sight. They lead all the way to a distant light, in a cave, and... you let your curiosity get the best of you. You walked all the way to the cave opening, and things became clearer. Multiple voices singing. Torches acting as light sources in the dark and hidden sea cave, deep inside. And several nude women all dancing, singing along to a merry tune.
It was a bit of a baffling sight; you'd never seen anything like it among your kingdoms. Who were these people? Surely, they were from the kingdom, weren't they? But how did they get here? Still, it looked like they were all having fun.
You moved closer, your hand brushing against one of the seal cloaks laid against a rock. And one of them noticed you. When she gave a scream, everyone stopped dancing and singing, a total panic going through them all. You hardly had time to process when they had all run as if in danger, scooping up pelts and grabbing each other's arms and hands to flee, disappearing into a dark night. You could've sworn you heard some of them jump into the ocean behind you when they had run past you.
Before you knew it, you were staring at only one last strange woman. She stared at you, wide eyed, glancing to your side. The last pelt, right beside your hand.
She didn't move, opening her mouth to speak before shutting it again, as if just afraid to talk to you.
You...
