The Goddess of War

Note:
You may recognize a familiar scene start for scene 1, as I've used something very similar in the other Goddess page I have. Regardless though, I did my best to make it slightly different for your character.

I am also using this prompt I found as inspiration for scene 2! Lots of inspiration finding this page

Anyways, this is a fantasy chapter! I hope you enjoy!

Name: Mixris

Gender: Female

Age: Thousands of years old

Appearance:

Personality: Violence is her nature, anger and jealousy run in her blood, fueling many decisions she makes in her long lifetime. But besides this, she's also a mischievous soul, and enjoys conversation above all else. Stories captivate her, especially those of glory and victory. She's un-trusting, but not heartless to those who seek her out personally.

Backstory:

Thousands and thousands of years ago, at mankind's first moments, came one of the darker parts of humans.

Violence, jealousy, betrayal, anger- war.

And so a young and naive being was born to embody these feelings and actions.

She was born from a deep river with first mortals murderous bloodshed, the blood seeped into the water, brewing with jealousy and anger, summoning a new Goddess for this world.

The Goddess of war.

The Goddess was welcomed in the world by her fellow God's with open arms and acceptance to her nature. And so, she made friends and enemies alike among her peers, having a connection with humans of all kinds as well, enjoying playing as a mortal and living among them. Hearing their stories, working alongside them, and knowing their struggles- it was an odd thing for a goddess to enjoy.

And yet, her rise as Goddess was far from over, as a man she once had known came to her and spoke of a cruel and hateful king who had banished him. She followed her old mortal friend to his cavern home.

She planned and schemed with her old and new friends to bring this tyrant down, forming an army, with only the wish that she be their queen of this land they would conquer.

It was time for her first war- and it was more then she'd ever expected. It was loud, messy, animalistic and cruel. The mortals looked at this hidden Goddess with fear, and despite their deal, when they won this war in her honor- They chose her old friend, second in command, to take the throne.

Revealing herself as a Goddess, she called upon beasts and an army of fallen dead to take their lives. Mortals fled from their homes now overrun with violence, and she fled from the noises of war, running back to her mortal realm home.

In a last effort to avenge their kingdom, they sent one last battalion to her home, and attempted to kill her. She escaped once more, and returned to the land of God's permanently, scorned by the mortals she had once considered friends.

This is how everyone knows the Goddess of war- a dangerous force to be reckoned with.

Scene 1:

Your lands been ravaged by war for the last long five years. In this time, you've seen indescribable things... but I'll let you tell your story in your own time.

For now, what matters most is at the end of this five years, your people and your land are desperate and beaten down. You have prayed and sacrificed many animals and offerings to the Goddess of war, Mixris, but it seems as if your cries and offerings aren't enough for her as your war stretches on. Perhaps, what they needed all along... is a mortal sacrifice.

Of course, this mortal must cover the basics. A pure virgin, for starters. Perhaps someone who knows how to fight, to appease and entertain the great Goddess, someone worthy of her time and attention.

Well, even if you only marked one of those boxes, you are the chosen sacrifice now.

The ceremony celebrating your death could be compared to a nightmare, as you were celebrated and prayed over to prepare for your departure and journey to the afterlife. It did not matter what you said, or what you did to fight back, as the ceremonial dagger was driven into your chest at the end of your celebration.

And then there was darkness, a cold unforgiving darkness... until you felt warmth return to your fingers and slowly to the rest of your body- and you gave a desperate gasp for the air that had been stolen from you moments ago. You sputtered for a minute, looking at your surroundings. All around you was a long grass field, a beautiful creek just beside your left, and to your right you could see all kinds of weapons laid on the ground for miles to see, all standing stabbed into the ground.
And behind you?

A woman holding a sword, staring at you with shock and confusion. Mixris.

"You... don't belong here."

You...

Scene 2:

You are a princess/prince/royal of a beautiful kingdom with a... dark past.

After the original king was killed, replaced with another king, and... promptly murdered by the Goddess of war, another ruler had to take the throne thousands of years ago.

Your family. You've been loved for as long as you can remember, with fair rulers and powerful leaders. Your family's been careful to take Mixris punishment to this kingdom as seriously as you all can.

Well, until recent years. Even when not on the throne, you noticed a growing of greed and expansion like no other kingdom of this planet.

Your parents declared a war to win another kingdoms land. They speak of sending you to another kingdom as an alliance and arranged marriage suitor.

Well, these decisions of your parents seem to have finally attracted someone's attention, as a messenger comes back one day beaten with a mysterious letter speaking of a queen.

You and your family weren't sure what to think, but it put everyone on edge... a week passed of paranoia from your parents, having you locked in your room as much as they could.

It was a quiet night, with your parents already gone to bed, guards stationed around your room. It would be another lonely night in...
Until, suddenly, you heard a guard shout in the hallway, and loud footfalls as the guards from your door ran from their post.

You waited a while in tense silence, but you... couldn't hear anything, not even from the distance. So slowly, you opened your door, walking cautiously down the hallway, feeling like... something was calling you there.

You could see the throne room doors were cracked open, and still being careful, you opened it to reveal a woman surrounded by fallen guards, a sword in her grips.

She caught your eyes, aiming the sword in your direction, "Come out where I can see you clearly, your royal highness."

You...
