The breeze of the sea is gentle.... warm until the night, and the smell of the ocean, pure and deep, the heartbeat of the world. It is a peaceful afternoon with the sun setting over the horizon and painting the world in warm reds, oranges, yellows, and pinks.... with purples and dark blues sneaking up from the top. In such a place..... someone..... or rather, some gem, put a hammock between two small, yet strong trees. It laid there, untouched by most things of the beach in Beach City. Another, smaller gem walked outside and sat down on the beach, letting the sea breeze run through her hair and she let a smile grow on her face. "It seems strong enough, I think." Spoke the first gem, pushing down on the soft fabric of the hammock.

He smiled at his good work..... and smiled even wider when he turned and his eyes were welcomed by the sight of the second gem, a woman..... very, very dear to him, that made his heart skip many beats..... which is impressive, considering he didn't even have a heart. The woman turned to the first gem and she stood up. This was Tanzanite, the daughter of Steven and the first gem's girlfriend. "Well there's only one way to find out, it might be sturdy without weight on it, but I bet as soon as you sit your giant ass on it, the trees are gonna snap in twain." She commented with a slight chuckle. "Hey!... I thought you liked my 'giant ass'. And it's not giant!" Pouted Iridescent Quartz.

Or as Tanzanite called him, Iris, and Quartzy. Or IQ, sometimes. He was a very peculiar gem..... and not only because he was male, but because iridescent gems were.... extremely rare. He himself was a personal creation effort of the diamonds, not even meant to be a simple soldier like other quartzes. But the war was over, and IQ had grown to like other things..... mainly his Tantan~ "Hey, you're the giant gem here! My point is still proven!~" Tanzanite cooed while she grinned and walked towards her Quartzy. "And I won't deny your claim, I do love your giant ass~" She added in and held his hand. "You....." IQ grinned. He couldn't get mad, he had no way to. Not against her teasing. He tried once, he couldn't even hold a straight face through the first word of protest.

So he just held her hand, and pulled, bringing her into his chest, and hugging her. ".... You teasing fox.....~" The "Fox" giggled, nuzzling in his massive chest. "Minx, Quartzy~" She corrected and gently kissed his gem. He shook, invaded by an internal warmth..... his gem.... his pride and his weakness.... She looked up at him with her gorgeous brown eyes and muttered three words he loved to hear. "I love you~" Those words. The words that turned his legs to jello.... that made him feel as light as light itself. He had to force himself not to cover her in kisses right then and there.... then he realized.... The hammock was there.... empty.... and waiting for testing. So, with the excuse of a hugged dance, he walked backwards with her, grinning happily.... before... "Woops!" He and her fell back.... straight on the hammock.

Tanzanite squeaked in surprise and blushed madly. "What was that for!? You said we were dancing!" She whined with a slight pout. "Shhhh~" Spoke the giant, touching her lips with his finger. "Look. Feel. Hear." He closed his eyes, showing her around: the hammock perfectly held up their weight, offering them a perfect view of the advancing shadows of sundown on the beach... the water itself looked like liquid gold, moved by the gentle breeze that blew the waves. The working people were home now, back to their families..... and no sound, except for the seagull's squawking, was breaking the scenery..... worthy indeed of a painting. However, the hybrid was too busy relaxing in her beloved's warm embrace. The longer she looked at him, the longer she was with him in this hammock... the more at home and content she was, the more relaxed she felt.

Tanzanite let her head fall on his chest with her jawline gently layered on his gem, careful not to crack it. "Seems you were right, mi vida~" She crooned with a soft giggle. "Of course I was... when am I not, mi querida absoluta?" The Quartz smiled, smugly...... for just a moment, before wrapping his strong and fibrous arms around his most beloved thing in the universe. He kissed her forehead, softly, blessing himself over and over and over again in his own head for the luck he had in finding a woman so perfect. "...... I could live in this moment forever..... I..... is this what human religions call Heaven....? If it's not, this is better than that"

"It's so much better, Quartzy~ you don't have a single clue how blessed I am to have you.. You're the true blessing..~" The hybrid sighed before grabbing the sides of his face and bringing his wandering lips to her lonely ones. Their kiss was soft, gentle, pure.. and long: their kiss went on for so long that strings of saliva connected them when they detached. And yet, it wasn't enough..... Nothing was ever enough for them, eternity together wasn't enough time to express the love they felt for each other. They needed each other, and sometimes both wondered how they had managed to live alone until they met.. Tanzanite licked her lips to split the saliva trails in half, softly giggling afterwards. "I love you, Quartzy~ so much~" She muttered once again before slowly dozing off on the multicolored gem.

As Iridescent Quartz looked at his most beloved in the galaxy... he basked in the absolute perfection of the moment. The air... the birds... the sun... Tantan... He grinned, and relaxed under Tanzanite. "As I knew... the hammock was perfect. 1-0 for me, Tantan~" He chuckled, before kissing her head, and falling asleep. "No 'I love you too', amor~?" The hybrid mumbled as she didn't fully fall asleep on the multicolored gem underneath her. A few other residents of Beach City decided to take one last walk near the beach, and saw the two asleep on the hammock.

However, they thought it was an accident and the two would have gone home if they wanted to sleep. The few residents that did come out didn't want to disturb them, so they just continued on their walk and returned home when they were done. Quartz smiled, his eyes closed as he basked in perfection. He took a breath... "Of course, Tantan. I love you too" The hybrid grinned and finally let herself sleep on the gem she loved dearly.
