Jordan was backstage, stretching.

Tonight, she was wrestling for Pro Wrestling Guerilla.  This would be her first time wrestling for a promotion other than Shimmer, and while she wouldn't call herself nervous, she hadn't actually talked to anybody since she had gotten there.

When she heard noise, she brought her head up, blowing her bangs out of her eyes.  A tag team match had just ended, and a flood of people were now making their way backstage.

Content that no one seemed to be approaching her, Jordan brought her head back down and continued stretching.

"Hey."

She would've ignored the voice if she hadn't heard footsteps coming toward her.  She looked up to see a blonde girl walking over.  She was one of the people who had just come backstage, and she was still trying to catch her breath.  Jordan stood up.

"Hi?" Jordan said, although it came out sounding like a question.  When she had yelled "hey" at her, she wasn't sure if it was a greeting or if she was simply trying to get her attention.

"You've wrestled in Shimmer, right?" She smiled.

"Tonight is my first time not wrestling for Shimmer," She told her, laughing a little. "I'm Jordan.  Jordan Lee."

"Candice LeRae," She introduced herself. "So, this is your first time wrestling a guy then, huh?"

Jordan shrugged. "Technically."

"Well, I'm sure you'll do great," Candice said, smiling. "I just wanted to come over and introduce myself because I haven't actually seen you talk to anyone since I've gotten here.  I need to go find my boyfriend – I'm not sure where he's hiding – but hopefully I'll see you around!"

Jordan said goodbye as Candice walked away.

While Jordan had been trained by a guy – Claudio still checked up on her every now and then – she'd never had an official match with a guy before.  Shimmer was an all-female wrestling promotion, so she'd only ever wrestled other women.

She would be wrestling Rich Swann, who she had met before this event.  He was pretty nice, and she had seen him wrestle before, so she had no worries.

A match had just started, and she knew that she would be performing next.  She stretched for a few more minutes before she was finally ready.

The match ended, and after a few minutes, Rich Swann walked out.

Then it was her turn.

"And his opponent, from Boston, Massachusetts: Jordan Lee!"

Welcome to the Family by A Day to Remember played as she walked out.  The crowd was cheering, and suddenly, any worries that she had disappeared.

In the end, she lost.

The crowd had been into the match from beginning to end, though, and a few people even booed when she was pinned.

Rich stayed in the ring to celebrate, so she rolled out and started walking backstage.

When she arrived, she was greeted by Candice and a guy she didn't recognize.  Candice was excited, jumping up and down, and he was just smiling and watching her.

"You were great!" Candice exclaimed.

Jordan smiled. "Thanks.  I might have to come back so I can say that I can actually win a match in PWG."

Her eyes widened. "Yes!  You should totally come back; maybe one day we could face each other."

"You could always come to Shimmer," Jordan suggested.

"Yeah, you haven't wrestled for Shimmer yet," The guy spoke up.

Candice looked between the two of them and said, "Oh!" They both smiled at her. "I haven't introduced you guys yet.  Jordan, this is my boyfriend, Johnny Gargano.  Johnny, this is Jordan Lee.  That was her first experience with intergender wrestling."

He looked at Jordan. "You're a natural; I wouldn't have even considered that if Candice hadn't told me."

"Thanks."

Rich finally made his way backstage, so Johnny excused himself to go talk to him.

"When they're done talking, we're going to go out there and set up our merch," Candice said, and Jordan smiled. "But if you ever see one of us at a show, come say hi!  I hate seeing people by themselves, so especially do it if you're somewhere new.  I'll try to stop by Shimmer sometime, and maybe we can wrestle each other."

"I'd love that," Jordan said. "If I hear that you'll be at an event, I'll make sure to find you."

"Okay, good," She said. "Bye, Jordan.  It was nice meeting you."

After going over a few more details (like who Jordan would be facing at the next taping), she and her new tag team were free to go.

When they walked out of the office, the first person they saw was none other than Candice LeRae.

The guys looked like they already knew she was there, but Jordan smiled when she saw her.  It didn't take long for Candice to notice her.

"Jordan?" She exclaimed, grinning. "I didn't know you were in NXT now.  How long have you been here?  What are you doing with these two losers?" Johnny stuck his tongue out at her, and she just smiled at him.

"Today's my first day," Jordan replied. "And I'm the new manager for these losers."

"Why do you guys think we're losers?" Tommaso asked.

"Because I haven't been managing you," Jordan replied.

"She hasn't been our manager for five minutes and she's already calling us losers," Johnny joked.

"Hey, Candice is the one who called you losers," She protested. "I'm just trying to fit in.  Please don't kick me out.  At least not until I get my paycheck."

Candice laughed. "You guys are going to have fun with her." She looked at Jordan. "I know you just joined these two, but I need to borrow my fiancée for a little bit.  We've got a wedding to plan."

"Oh, yeah," Johnny agreed. "I didn't realize the show was over.  We can all meet tomorrow at the Performance Center, if you want.  I'll text you guys later tonight."

He and Candice said goodbye, and once they had walked down the hall and turned the corner, Jordan looked at Tommaso.

"How's he going to text me without my number?" She asked him, and he chuckled.

A few seconds later, Johnny had rounded the corner and stopped in front of them.  Jordan already had her phone out, so she handed it to him.

"Candice told you, didn't she?" She asked, smirking.

"Yeah..."

"What would you do without her?"

Anything in italics is a flashback, and there will be more of those throughout the story. I don't think I'll be labeling them by year or anything; I'm just going to make sure to mention what promotion she will be at and stuff like that.
