PRESENT
STORYBROOKE
THE SAVIOR GLUMLY SAT on one of the steps of the staircase from within her shared apartment. She leaned into her father as he rubbed her arm sympathetically. "Emma..." David compassionately said to his daughter from within their apartment. "I'm so sorry."
"How..." Emma trailed off, staring at the ground. "How... am I gonna tell Henry? Indiana was his hero. She's been there for almost all of his life... And Neal..."
It was then when the sound of someone rapping his or her fist on the door was heard. Rather than waiting for someone to walk over and let the person in, the figure merely turned the doorknob his or herself and entered.
"You guys really should work on locking this thing regularly, you know," a familiar British voice called out.
David and Emma exchanged glances before getting up and walking toward the door. Standing there was Indiana Jones, who was acting as normal as ever. "Wh—What!? Anna—I mean, Indiana—I mean Anna—" Emma stuttered in shock.
"How are you here?" David asked cautiously.
Indiana raised an eyebrow. "Through the door...?" she trailed off in confusion. When they gave her a look, Indiana cracked a smile. "Come on, lighten up!" She sighed when their facial expressions didn't change. "You might want to sit back down for this."
They did as they were told and Indiana walked in front of them to explain.
"Well, when I was falling through the portal, I was thinking about how much I would miss my bed when I was dead because the most rational thing I could think of was that I was going to die. The next thing I knew, I was sitting on my bed in my apartment," Indiana explained. "I didn't know that would actually mean anything, but then it did and I was back here."
Emma and David were silent, taking it all in. Then, Emma looked up and asked, "Do you think...?"
"That Bae had the same idea? It's unlikely," Indiana opinionated, folding her arms over her chest with a somewhat solemn expression on her face. Emma frowned and stood up, walking over to the nearest couch and laying down on it, curling up in a ball.
Indiana looked to David, who motioned to follow him up the stairs. Once they arrived at the second floor of the apartment, they spotted Snow White and Regina Mills. Regina laid on a bed while Snow placed a cold rag on the woman's face.
Snow turned to see them, gasping when she saw her mentor. "Indie...? But I thought...?" Snow trailed off in surprise. "Oh, never mind that. I'm so sorry—"
"Don't worry about it," Indiana interrupted, suddenly acting rather strangely. "I'm... I've decided to become the bigger person. So just... let it go. I understand your perspective on the situation."
Ignoring the girl's suspicious reaction, they were all caught off guard when Regina Mills had begun to speak. She had been unconscious up until now. Turns out, Greg Mendell and Tamara had kidnapped her after all. "You... You saved me?" Regina asked in surprise.
"Yes," Snow confirmed while David replied with, "You really think we'd let you die? Despite our differences, we're family.
"Where are they?" Regina wondered. "Where are Greg and Tamara?"
Snow looked up at David, who inhaled deeply. "They got away."
Regina exhaled, "So they still have it."
Indiana furrowed her eyebrows together. "Still have what?" she wondered.
Regina began to explain that they had a trigger that was created in case something during the curse went wrong. It was created to destroy the entire town. "A trigger?" David repeated.
"That will destroy Storybrooke," Regina confirmed. "I had a fail-safe built into the curse."
"Then why exactly were you carrying it around?" Snow interrogated.
"She was going to destroy us, Mary Margaret. I was going to use the beans to take Henry back to the Enchanted Forest," Regina explained sheepishly.
"And in the process, kill all of us," Snow added.
"You wanna discuss justification? You were going to abandon me," Regina fired back. "Or shall we discuss the more pressing issue, which is that I no longer control the trigger."

A few hours later after Snow White and Prince Charming had failed to receive help from Rumplestiltskin, Indiana Jones calmly read a random book she had found laying around in the Charming apartment. She was put in charge of watching Regina in case something happened since the woman was recovering.
The door suddenly flung open and in walked David, Emma, Snow, and Henry. "Oh, Henry!" Regina exclaimed. Henry ran toward his adoptive mother and hugged her tightly. As Indiana stood up to walk over to them, there was a boom before the ground began to shake.
A plate shattered on the floor as Indiana attempted to keep her balance. When the ground stopped shaking, everyone looked around at each other. "Regina, was that...?" Emma trailed off.
"Yes. The Diamond was activated," Regina declared, referring to the trigger.
"So we're all gonna die," Henry realized while stepping over to his Nanny and hugging her tightly. Indiana crouched down to his level, properly hugging him back.
"You were born here, so you'll live," Regina explained as they did so. Henry pulled away, looking around at the people with him.
"But..." Henry paused and looked back at Regina. "I'll be alone."
"I'm so sorry, Henry," Regina whispered.
Emma looked over and determinedly said, "It's not gonna happen. I'm not gonna let it. You did this. Now, make it stop."
"I can't," Regina revealed. "There's no way."
"Well, figure it out. It's your fault!" Emma shouted.
"Stop! I already lost my dad and I almost lost Indiana," Henry exclaimed. "I don't wanna lose anyone else. We have to work together."
"From the mouths of babes. I'd say the lad has a point," a new voice called out, making Indiana roll her eyes almost instantaneously. Walking in through the open front door was Captain Killian Jones.
David immediately punched him in the jaw, making Indiana snort gleefully in amusement. "Ha ha," Indiana taunted childishly as Killian rubbed his jaw.
"That's for the last time we met," David spat. "Also for all the times I've wanted to punch Indiana but couldn't because, well, she'd skin me alive. You're the next best thing."
"Bloody hell," Killian mumbled.
"Now, tell us why you're here before I use something else other than my fist," David snapped as he pulled out his gun.
"I think threatening to kill me is a bit redundant when we're all about to die anyway," Killian pointed out.
Raising an eyebrow, Indiana deadpanned, "You must be fun at parties."
"No thanks to you. Regina just told us you were working with Tamara and Greg to get your revenge," Emma hissed.
"Well, that was before they told me I had to die to get it," Killian explained.
Emma looked over at her father. "We don't have time for this. We have a real problem," Emma cited.
"Which is why I'm here," Killian revealed. "'Cause staring death in the face has made me realize if there's one thing I want more than my revenge, it's my life."
"Like brother, like sister," David bitterly remarked, making Indiana give the man a look. She wasn't sure if she was supposed to be offended or flattered.
"So should we start this thing now and then resume bickering?" Killian suggested.
"There is no stopping it," Regina said, walking forward. "And the best thing I can do is slow it down, but that will only delay the inevitable."
"It'll give us the time we need," David said with an idea flickering on and off in his head like a light bulb.
"The time for what?" Snow wondered.
"Steal back the beans!" David declared. "Use them to get everyone back into the Enchanted Forest before Storybrooke is gone."
"How? We don't know where Greg and Tamara are," Indiana reminded the prince.
"Well, I do," Killian exposed. "I can help."
"Help yourself. You'll take them and leave us all behind," Emma stated. "Why should we trust you?"
"No, we won't have to," Indiana presented, walking toward David and her brother. "I'll go with him." She propped her arm on his shoulder with a sickeningly sweet smile on her face. "If he tries anything, I'll take his other hand."
"Quite hostile, aren't we, baby sister?" Killian joked dryly.
"Just being clear," David added. "I'll go with them... make sure Tweedledee and Tweedledum don't do anything stupid."
"Hey!" Indiana and Killian said together before a thought came upon the pirate.
"Wait, what does that mean?" Killian asked.
"I'll take Regina to slow down the Diamond, give you guys time," Emma offered, ignoring the confused pirate. "Mary Margaret, take Henry. Gather everyone. Make sure they're ready to go as soon as we have those beans."
As everyone began to walk out of the apartment, Regina called out to her son. "Henry, before you go, I'm sorry for what's happened," Regina apologized. "I tried to be the person that you wanted me to be, and I failed. But I won't let you be alone. You just know that I love you."
"I love you, too," Henry promised before walking away with Snow White.
Indiana followed Emma and Regina out the door, expecting for David and Killian to follow behind her. "The things we do for the people we care about," Killian muttered to David.

"So, tell me, Hook, all this time, it's been about revenge for you?" Prince Charming wondered as Indiana led the way, shining the flashlight around. "Why is that suddenly so important to you that you survive? I know what I'm fighting for—my family. What are you fighting for?"
Killian was silent for a moment. "Myself. That's plenty of motivation, I can assure you," Killian decided.
"You sure it's not something else?" David wondered. When Killian gave him a confused expression, he motioned toward Indiana, who walked far ahead of them. "You did mention something about the people you care about. I assume that's your sister? I don't know what happened between you two, but I can tell you care about each other. So what is it? Are you afraid of showing affection toward people other than yourself?"
Something clattering gained their attention, causing Killian to silently thank the Gods. "Quiet," Indiana said to them with a lowered voice as they all stood together again.
They hid behind a wall as David cocked his gun. He walked out when a figure appeared. "The Beans—give 'em to me," David demanded. Greg Mendell, who was holding briefcases, placed his items down.
"You mean these?" Greg queried, pulling out a small jar of clear beans. A gunshot echoed through the Storybrooke Cannery, just barely missing David's head. Tamara appeared not too far away.
Killian instantly tackled Greg while David and Indiana ran after Tamara. Indiana pulled out a knife and blindly threw it. It cut a large chunk out of Tamara's clothes, but since she was running in random patterns, it didn't properly hit her. Though Indiana technically missed, she couldn't help but snort when she saw Tamara trip, dropping her gun.
Greg suddenly appeared behind them, tackling them down at the same time. When they looked up again, Greg and Tamara were gone. Indiana stood up, ready to continue running after them when Hook grabbed her.
"What are you doing? They've got the beans!" David shouted.
"Let me go!" Indiana cried out. "She killed him! She killed him! She killed Baelfire! Let me go!"
Killian spun her around. "Look at me," Killian demanded. When she didn't listen, he raised his voice. "Look at me! Everything's going to be fine."
"You're right, you're right," Indiana strangely said, immediately calming down, which wasn't something she was known for doing. She sighed. "We don't even... um, have the stupid beans."
"Not all of them! I snagged one," Killian revealed, holding one up before sticking it back in his pocket.
"Where are the rest?" David asked.
"Who cares? All we need is one," Killian replied. When he let his sister go again, David started to run after them. He grabbed his arm. "Hey! Live to fight another day, mate."
David glared at Killian before taking the bean out of his pocket. "I'm not your mate," he hissed. David angrily stormed off.

"We have the beans!" Charming announced, causing everyone inside Granny's Diner to cheer.
"We have a bean," Indiana corrected as she waltzed in behind the man. "Not only are you a jackass, but you are also a dumbass."
Charming rolled his eyes. "Love you, too, Indiana," David mentioned. Indiana blew him a kiss, laughing as Emma rushed over to speak to her father. Meanwhile, Indiana made her way over to Henry.
"Thank goodness you're back," Henry declared. "Granny won't stop trying to feed me lasagna."
Indiana grinned and laughed at his words, ruffling his hair. She didn't even realize that Killian was observing how his sister acted to the boy. He could see how much she cared about him, similar to how much she loved and cared about the Lost Boys.
Then, Emma paced over toward Henry as he asked, "W-Where's my mom?"
"Regina can hold off the self-destruct device long enough for us to escape, but..." Emma explained before she paused and sighed. "She won't survive."
"No..." Henry gasped. "No."
"Henry, I'm sorry," Emma insisted. "I promised her I'd get you to safety."
"But we can't do this," Henry argued. "She's family. We don't just leave family behind!"
"Yeah! Ohana or some shit," Indiana added, her voice becoming quieter as she attempted to figure out if Ohana was the correct term. Snow gave her a look, causing Indiana to raise an eyebrow. "What--you want me to say Ohana or some stuff? Some shucks? Some fudge? Snow, only pussies talk like that."
"I know, but this is what she wants," Emma pleaded, ignoring her mother and the teenager's typical bickering. "We have a way out, we have to take it."
"We saved her from being killed by the wraith," Henry countered. "How is this any different?"
"The wraith," Snow White realized. "We sent it through a portal. Why can't we do the same thing with the self-destruct?"
"Because we don't know if it's going to work," Emma stated.
"It could," Snow responded, causing Charming to nod in agreement.
"It's too risky," Emma said. "No one will go along with it."
"Yes, we will," piped up Archie, stepping forward. He now stood behind Indiana. "Because it's the right thing to do. Look, Snow White and the Prince have always led us before, and we've always won. So, who's willing to let them lead us again?" There was a thunderous amount of agreement from the people of Storybrooke.
"I know we haven't had a lot of chances to be parents, but give us this one," Snow said to her daughter. "Let us do the right thing. It's not too late. It's never too late."
"I just don't want him to be alone," Emma stated, pulling her son into her arms. "I don't want him to grow up the way I did." The ground chose that moment to shake again. "Oh, this plan could fail. If we use that bean now, we can get away for sure."
"We will survive," Snow encouraged. "But it's wrong. Emma, I killed her mother."
"You did that to Cora because you had to," Emma pointed out.
Meanwhile, Killian continued to observe his sister. Something didn't feel right. He wasn't sure what it was, but something about her was different.
Just what exactly happened to Indiana Jones when she went through that portal?

Once Regina Mills and Emma Swan working together in the mines had stopped the Trigger, it was revealed to the group that Henry Mills had gone missing. They had frantically run out, eventually spotting Henry being dragged along by Greg Mendell and Tamara. However, they managed to open up a portal in the water and jump through it with Henry before Emma, Indiana, Regina, Snow, or David could do anything.
"No!" Emma shouted once they arrived at the end of the dock. They were too late. "We have to follow them! There has to be a way!"
"Not only do we not know where they went, but Killian stole the last bean!" Indiana shouted angrily.
"I don't care!" Emma shouted. David continued to hold back his daughter from jumping into the ocean.
"Without, there's no way to follow!" Regina exclaimed.
"There has to be!" Emma replied. "We can't just let them take Henry."
"They've taken Henry?" Rumplestiltskin asked, walking over to them with Lacey (who had finally reverted back to Belle) by his side.
"Yeah. You're the Dark One," David confirmed. "Do something."
"Gold, help us," Emma pleaded.
"There's no way," Rumplestiltskin stated, eyeing Indiana, who was strangely less worried than the others. "I spent a lifetime trying to cross worlds to find my son. There's no way in this world without a portal."
"So that's it? He's gone forever?" Regina questioned. "I refuse to believe that."
Belle suddenly walked forward, pushing through David and Snow to look at something. "What is that?" Belle wondered. Everyone followed her gaze before they spotted a large ship in the horizon. It was sailing toward the docks.
"The Jolly Roger," Indiana realized.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Emma Swan demanded once Killian had arrived at the docks.
"Helping," he unenthusiastically declared.
"Well, you're too late," Emma revealed. "I thought you didn't care about anyone but yourself."
"Maybe I just needed reminding that I could," Killian said, pulling out an object. Emma had spoken to him in the Diner, attempting to get him to help. After he attempted to leave Storybrooke and returned, he had a sudden change of heart.
He handed the object to Emma. She opened the pouch, pulling out a white magic bean. "Enough waiting around. Let's go," Regina declared eagerly.
"Go? Where? I thought we were saving the town," Killian stated in confusion.
"We already did, moron," Indiana revealed. "Now, we need to get Henry. Greg and Tamara took him through a portal."
"Well, I offer my ship and my services to help follow them," Killian offered.
"Well, that's great, Hook, but how will we track them?" Regina sassed.
"Leave that to me," Rumplestiltskin declared. "I can get us where we need to go."
➖➖➖
"So are you done trying to kill me?" Rumplestiltskin questioned Killian as he boarded the Jolly Roger. The pirate nodded.
"I believe so," he allowed while the group settled themselves onto the ship.
"Excellent," Rumplestiltskin commented. "Then you can live."
Rumplestiltskin waved his hand, causing a strange ball to appear on the ship. Indiana observed as the Dark One pricked his finger, allowing a drop of blood to fall onto the ball, which transformed itself into a globe. She thought of all the places Henry could be.
"Where is that? Where did they take Henry?" Regina demanded.
"No..." Killian whispered before raising his voice. "Neverland." Everyone immediately looked to Indiana, who didn't look anxious or nervous or afraid.
If anything, she just looked emotionless, but she had been like that all day.
After throwing the bean into the water, the group set sail.

It was like a bad memory. It was like something you could never forget, whether it was a sensation or emotion. It was like an unforgettable nightmare. That was how many described flying through a portal, not being able to see anything but magic swirling throughout and all around your body.
Similar to a baby spitting out its food, the sky seemed to throw up a brown-haired girl onto the dirt-covered ground. Her hair fell down her back in a messy braid as she rolled up her sleeves, immediately feeling the warmth of the atmosphere around her. Leggings and a sweatshirt weren't suitable for this kind of climate.
The girl groaned in pain while adjusting her body so that she was sitting on her butt. She dusted off her legs before suddenly looking around. "What the bloody hell happened...?" she asked. "Okay... think. Think, Indiana... What happened...?"
Indiana shut her eyes tightly while thinking. The last thing she remembered was Baelfire being shot and falling into a portal before Indiana Jones ran after him. But what happened after that?
Whilst flying through the portal, Indiana Jones was thinking about the one thing she wanted to see the most before she died. Of course the most rational thing she could think of was that she was going to die.
But she didn't.
Indiana had escaped death countless times. She wasn't ready to die.
But what was the one thing she wanted to see the most before she died?
Think, Indiana. Think!
Then, her breath hitched in her throat. Indiana peeled her eyes open.
"No..." Indiana whispered. "No... No, no, no... I take it back. I take it back! Take me back! Please... No, no, no... I'm not ready for this!"
Indiana hugged her knees to her chest, hyperventilating, for she was back in the one place that gave her a bittersweet taste in her mouth.
Indiana Jones was back in Neverland.
