*Ysa's pov....*

It was the middle of the night and the street were swarming with guards. We snuck from alleyway to alleyway until we reached the edge of town where an old rickety shack sat rotting away.

"Is this where you live?" I asked.

"No, this is where we hide." Buddy replied as he unlocked the door with a secret key.

Once inside, Buddy pulled a secret lever disguised as a wine bottle and a secret passage opened. Faint voices could be heard. Buddy motioned for me to follow, so I did.

"Aye! Buddy! How did you escape questioning? Did they just let you go?" One guy asked in a joking manner.

"And who is the lucky lady?" another asked.

"This is Ysa, and she saved my live. She rescued me before we even got to the palace." Buddy replied.

I suddenly felt uncomfortable. A group of random guys I never met before were staring at me. I didn't want to show this feeling. Not at a time like this.

"It sounds great when you put it that way, but the truth is, I was doing what needs to be done. I want to help you guys, and Buddy seems to know what's going on. So, Buddy, what is going on exactly?" I said.

"From the way you say that, it sounds like you just got here not too long ago...." Buddy said curiously.

"I came this morning to study the living conditions on this planet. I study that sort of thing." I replied.

There were murmurs coming from the other men. As I looked closer, I realized that there was not a single woman in the bunch. Why is that?

"Ysa, might I talk to you for a minute?" Buddy asked.

"Sure Buddy, what is it?" I asked as I followed him to another room.
