Distance

I stood there crying so bad and felt Faye's hug. She was crying too, I know she's still grieving for him too.

We may not talk about it always but it never goes out of our minds. He is our strongest person. He loves us more than anyone could.

"After that incident, he continuously feel the pain in his head. The impact of that physical fight did so much damage in his case. That was his critical points, that's why he doesn't want to meet you both. Alam niyang malalaman nyo kung papayag syang makipag kita sa inyo. "

Tuloy tuloy ang pag hikbi ko habang pinapakinggan parin ang kwento ni Jericho tungkol sa pinag daanan ni Thunder.

"He knew how much you will get hurt once you discover about his situation," he added.

Nanatili akong umiiyak at ganun din si Faye. Hindi ko alam na dahil iyon sa aksidente noong gabi na yun.

He won't be in trouble if he doesn't want to protect me. That's why it hurt so bad, knowing that I put him in danger.

It was my fault, I'm the one to blame. My parents were right, I haven't done any good in anyone I know.

Hindi ko alam kung gaano pa katagal bago kami kumalma, basta ang alam ko lang ay ang bigat ng dibdib ko dahil sa mga nalaman. Hindi ko na sana maiisip pa si Saturn kung hindi lang binanggit ni Jericho.

Nandito kami sa sala, ang iba ay nasa labas at nag decide na mag libang habang si Faye naman ay nakatulog matapos umiyak kanina at si Drift ay nasa room nila dahil sa biglaang tawang ng kanyang secretary.

"I didn't knew, you're friends with Saturn?" may halong pag tataka pa sa boses niya ng itanong yun sa akin.

"We're not really friends hmm, I'm shocked to see you kanina. I wasn't expecting you and I didn't know you two were friends," I honestly said.

"Yeah I'm shocked too, I didn't knew you were the girl he's talking about."

Kunot noo akong tumingin sa kanya ng marinig iyon.

"What do you mean?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Nothing. But you should keep your distance to him. He's a playboy," he said a bit hesitant.

Hindi ako umimik, iniisip ko parin kung ano ba ang ibig niyang sabihin kanina. What does that asshole say about me?

"Zee, paano mo ba sya nakilala?" He asked after minutes of silence.

"He's a guest here. FYI, I'm working here as a hotel manager. I happened to attend a request from guest one time which is him."

"Are you two dating?"

Napairap ako sa tanong niyang iyon dahil sa naalala. He's got a girlfriend and he keeps on flirting with me. He even confessed last night, how dare he!

"Of course not, he had his girlfriend. And he's not my type," maarteng sagot ko sa tanong ni Jericho.

"Yeah, he should be not your type Zee."

"Why?" I asked again more curious.

"Well he's my friend but he's a playboy."

Hindi ko alam kung bakit pakiramdam ko may hindi siya sa akin sinasabi. Hindi ko alam kung dapat ba akong kabahan o ano, basta ang alam ko lang hindi siya kumportable ng malaman niya na magkakilala kami ni Saturn.

"Thunder would be mad if he's here," he added out of nowhere.

"Of course, he's over protective. I just wish he's here," I wispered.

"I wish for that too, he's the only one who could take control this of this Zee," huminto siya matapos akong tawagin. Ilang segundo niya din akong tinitigan bago muling mag salita.

"Thunder asked me to look after you when he's gone. I told him I wouldn't so he shouldn't go anywhere else. He just laugh at me and say he knows that I'll be here for you. He wants me to protect you," he said as he held my hand.

I suddenly felt a chill air in my back, It feels like Thunder's here. My best friend is here with us.

"We weren't that close, I was just your friend because of him. He's like a brother to me so who ever he loves, I love them too. You are his safe place, he told me that countless of times. You're his family so you are my family too. We may not have the same relationship as you had with him, for sure no one will ever take his place for you that's why I wanted to do this,"

"What do you mean?" I cut him off. I'm confused.

"I just want to tell you that you have to stay away from Saturn," he said seriously.

It was as if he said it in different language that it took me more than a minute to process it and react.

"What do you mean?"

Hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit niya sinasabi ito sa akin.

"Nothing. Just don't be too close to him."

It didn't help, lalo lang akong na-curious sa kung ano ba ang ibig niyang sabihin.

"You're acting really weird, Jech."

"Just find someone else to date Zee. I think he's not good for you," he said.

I didn't say anything. Kung alam niya lang na halos bumigay na ako sa lalaking iyon, baka hindi siya makapaniwala

That fucking asshole, I really can't believe I like him and that he has a girlfriend!

You're so stupid, Zita Elara. How dare you fall to his trap!

"Wait, don't tell me you two dated?"

He was looking at me like I couldn't deny it so I have no choice but to tell him that we did.

"Well, we sort of. But nothing happened he's an asshole," mataray na sambit ko.

"Do you like him, Zee?" he asked again.

Umirap ako sa kanya at tumango.

"I kinda like him, but it wasn't that deep. He's a flirt," I reasoned out.

"You better date Drift again," he said in a teasing way.

"Hell no, we're friends. I don't wanna ruin that," I said.

"Or date someone else rather than Saturn," he was like pursuing me to date someone that is not Saturn that I find it very confusing.

I mean, I didn't mind him saying that because he's my friend and like we knew, that man is an asshole. Maybe he's really concern but there's something in me that felt really bothered about his actions.

"Why don't you just ask me on a date then?" I said sarcastically in him.

"If Thunder wouldn't hunt me why not right?"

"You're creeping me out Jech. Can you just tell me what's up with Saturn? What the hell did he tell you?" I asked seriously because I couldn't keep it in myself anymore.

"Nothing, really. You just have to keep your distance on him. That's for your own good," he explained.

"You have to tell me the real deal, Jech."

He sighed as he stare at me.

"He might hurt you, Zee."

I know that, because honestly he already did. I am hurt knowing he had a girlfriend. I am hurt realizing I was fooled by his trap. I'm played and I feel hurt and embarrassed.

"Of course, I think that's the thing he's good at."
