"I love you, baby," The blonde-haired woman cooed as her ocean blue eyes stared at my smiling face.

"I love you too, Mommy," I beamed. She grinned at my response and kissed my forehead. Going to her original position, I could see the whole ocean that backed me in her eyes. Their colors couldn't be told apart; with every wave that came, her orbs seemed to be creating the turbulence that ran across the ocean. Her eyes were the ocean...

"Maddy!" A black-haired man yelled to gain the attention of his beautiful wife seated on a mat with my accompanying presence, surrounded by the golden sands and beneath our rug.

"Honey, Theo just said he loved me more than he does you," She boasted, giving me a wink. I stifled laughter at her attempt to get under my dad's skin.

"What?" He bellowed, coming closer to us. Just a few 100 centimeters away, he opposed, "that's so not true. Am I right champ?"

"Don't try to influence him," My mom bickered, lowering her eyes at him with her index finger pointed at his ambulating form.

"You were the one who put those words in his mouth," He accused, pointing his index finger at her as he sat crisscrossed; facing her. Their fingers were touching as they were playfully glaring at each other.

"I love you both, equally," I grinned, emphasizing equally; pushing their fingers down.

"That's my peacemaker," My mom smiled, engulfing me in a side hug.

"I taught you well," My dad said proudly, raising his head high. His enlarging head could be noticed even if attention wasn't paid to him.

"You and your large head," She stifled laughter.

He narrowed his eyes at her, trying to feign annoyance. His efforts were fruitless because he had a small smile playing across his lips and love displaying itself in the depths and band of his shining grey orbs.

She returned his smile and mirrored the adoring look he gave her.

There was so much love between them... At least I thought there was.
