" If you don't mind, could we take the test, like.... right now??". Reena put forward her request to the nurse with anxiety.

" Right now??.....sure !!". Replied the nurse as she went to get the kit.

After a couple of minutes, Reena faced the window as the nurse inserted the needle in her vein to draw the blood for testing.

Reena kept her thoughts focused on what she was going to do for the next couple of months, trying to distract herself from feeling the prick of the needle.

She did plan a few things before staying in kgf , but she is still yet to discover the secrets of the mansion or the goldmines.

And now she had to face her father, and also others when she have to stay in the  Desai mansion.

" It's done!". Replied the nurse as she withdrawn the needle and placed a cotton over the puncture.

Reena's thoughts were broken, while she returned back a smile and held the cotton.

"The results will take a day to arrive , I'll send your report to your home."

Home?

Oh no , I never thought about this !

" Is something wrong dear??".

" yeah!!". Reena replied while her fingers kept playing with her mangalsutra as she was nervous.

" Are you tensed?.....it was a love marriage, isn't it??".

Reena just nodedd unable to form any other reply.

" I was sure since the day I saw you.....and your eyes always glimed with joy everytime you spoke about him !!...."

It did ?

" .....and now you are worried how you would share this news with your father, I guess he is against this marriage, right??".

Reena kept silent while the nurse continued.

" Don't worry dear, I'll send the reports in a normal cover....but make sure to get it before them, !"

Reena thanked for the help and left for the airport, where like she guessed, a car with her men reached on time to take her back to the mansion.

Reena was back at home. And to her surprise her dad was not in the mansion and  he didn't bother to ask her anything about her trip.

She was absolutely relieved about it but still she couldn't help but think why.

The next day Reena was being cautious the whole day. Trying her best to stay alert to get the report by herself, before anyone else could.

By evening she decided to sit by the lawn to get a peace of mind after spending a whole day waiting for her results.

She had decided to spend the rest of the day with a book as she sat for tea. Her ' me time ' was disturbed shortly by the arrival of a guard of the mansion.

" Mam, there is a parcel for you!!".

" I'll be there !!". She kept her book by the table and got on her feet and went to the entrance of the mansion following the guard.

The postman asked for her signature and to her surprise it was the results, the one she was waiting for the whole day is now currently in her hands.

She gestured the guard to send the post man back and went back to the lawn.

She opened the cover and was about to unfold the report but she stopped herself.

She looked around for a minute and decided to see the report pushing her emotions aside.

" Reena!!".

Reena was totally shocked to see him but as in a quick reflex she hid the report.

" Sorry, I was quite busy with work!.....I hope that you are safe here !!".

Reena just nodedd her head but her father was quick enough to realise that she is hiding something from him.

" What's that Reena??". Reena turned to the left and found that her father had already noticed the papers she was holding.

" It's nothing dad !!".

" Give it to me!!".

Reena just gave the cover and hid the report between her fingers.

" I've always warned you about this !....I don't care about your degree!!...you are not applying for your internship!!".

What ?....oh

He mistook the envelope for my internship approval!!

" You're never leaving this house again!!.... don't you realise how dangerous it is for you to be in the city!!".

" But dad !!".

" I'll never to hear about this from you again!!".

Reena went back to her room and held her report. Her eyes fell on the portrait of her and her mother in a tight hug.

With a leap of faith , she opened them,  as she checked again , her eyes scanned through the details and finally land in the result.

Positive

Positive??.... it's positive!!!

So that means.....I'm a mother now ?

Reena sat on her bed , while her fingers caressed her skin over her dress.

I'm a mother!!....I have a life inside me!.

What will I do now??....how can I handle this pregnancy when I know nothing about it!!

She hugged her knees as tears made their way. She cried her heart out, muffling the sound through the cushions.

With her mood swings already causing a toll on her , Reena slept through the evening, waking up only from the knock on her door.

Reena found herself curled in her bed and answered the call for dinner. She checked herself on the mirror and went to attend the dinner in the dining room.

When she reached the table she found the dinner being served to her father and took a seat beside him.

" I know that you won't like to talk about it , but we have tried our best, and there is no trace of Rocky as per now !!".

Her fingers stopped for a second, while she continued eating after the pause, not paying any heed to her father's words.

" And also our lawyer called about how we still have Rocky's signature and we-"

" Just get to the point father!!". She replied in a cold tone and continued to eat.

" What I'm saying is, we don't need him to return back to move forward with the divorce!....we already have his signature, so we could start the process!!"

" And who took the decision that I need a divorce!!

I'm not a toy!!...I can't simply marry a guy and divorce him after months, just cause you asked me to!!.....I have a soul too!!".

" So I was wrong after all !!.... geting you married with that Bombay shooter was a mistake!!.....I thought you won't fall for a guy like him!!".

" I can love whomever I like!....you can't impose your orders on me anymore!!".

" Repent your mistake Reena!....not a single girl have lived her dream in this cruel world!!.... you'll soon realise that it was all an infactuation and nothing more!!".

" I never asked for your advice father!!...and never will!!". Reena replied and moved out of the room.

She looked at the mirror and her eyes fell on Rocky's amulet. She is still available unaware of his whereabouts, and seems like her father had alis failed in finding him.

But his amulet gave her hope, a hope to wait for his return. And now with another reason for him to return back to her.

The next day Reena felt the morning sickness. She entered the kitchen, to distract herself from it and found the staff gathered.

" What happening here ??".

She looked at the crowd, a young with dried tears, surrounded by women in their late 30's .

" Suji is a young girl and she is afraid of pregnancy!!".

" Your pregnant??". She asked the young girl and she nodded.

Reena stood shocked for a minute and analysed the girl and her mind struck on her sindoor.

" But why ?.....is it something about her husband??". She questioned, her own voice cracking.

" No mam, it's the process she afraid about!!

A woman undergo so many changes as she moulds into a mother, physically and emotionally, and I'm sure that suji will be able to do it !!.... won't you suji ?"

Yes , there are so many changes the human body undergoes to form a new life.

I know that you are afraid, suji, everyone is, for their first time.

We all have seen women undergo the pain and sacrifice behind the whole thing, but you know what?.....when you see your child in your arms, it's all worth it !!

And  I usually believe that , a child chooses its mother

Every child is born for a reason

And we should consider ourselves lucky to get such a blessing." Malamma finished and they all returned back to the work.

Reena felt that as an advice for her own self. She never expected to get pregnant in the first place but that doesn't mean she doesn't want it.

She loves her man and now carrying his child is something she always looked forward in the relationship, but maybe not so soon ,but she knew that she wouldn't ever regret it.

The rest of the afternoon she spent her time with suji and rest of them , taking notes about handling pregnancy.

And to her surprise no one raised any questions for her particular interest in the topic suddenly since they are aware that she is already married.

And after the heated argument she had with her father yesterday, he refused to speak to her , which she rather considered as an advantage as the days passed.

By night, before going to her bed Reena felt herself standing infront of the mirror in her room.

She looked herself in the mirror, her palms moving over her abdomen, picturing a bump that will show after few months.

But soon her smile changed to a frown as thoughts changed.

What if I become a bad mother

Maybe I don't deserve this baby!!

" And I usually believe that , a child chooses it's mother

Every child is born for a reason!!"

Reena registered those words in her mind.

But what if Rocky reacts to it as a mistake!!

No no he wouldn't .

She didn't get a proper sleep as thoughts kept revolving around her and she decided to get some fresh air and walked to one of the balcony of the mansion.

Her eyes fell on the moon and her fingers immediately careesesd her amulet as in a reflex, as she recalled the time she spent with Rocky.

You need to return Rocky!

To me !.....to us !!.....we both need you!!

" Reena , beta don't stay out
in the night..... you'll catch a cold ". Malamma was standing by the steps. She moved forward and placed a shawl over her shoulders.

" At least by that , I'll give you a reason to care for me Malamma!!.

" You don't need to!!.....your the princess of banglore....our angel.....but your heart earns for him !!".

Yes , it's always him!

" How do you know??".

" How can I not when the whole mansion is silent, and with you roaming around with a gloomy face??"

Reena just chuckled hearing her reply.

" Don't listen to your father!!.....a girl belongs with her husband once she is married....and don't get his words corrupt your mind.... trust your heart!!"

" I will ".

Reena moved the shawl and covered herself, from the cold.

I hope you remember me Rocky

I won't believe his words or obey his commands!!

Just give me a sign , I'll wait for you till my last breath.

She kissed the amulet and kept gazing at the stars.

While Vanaram was still not convinced about the attack that happened near the entrance of the mines and investigates more on its regard.

He called John and gathered few details. And as per the dying words of the one man who was brought alive, they came  to know that the cause of the attack was a single man.

The mere idea terrified Vanaram , as he realised that there might be more to the man's plan and he might be still be alive .

But he couldn't find a proper cause or reason for the attack ans left the issue as such.

As months passed, the kids in the KGF became fond of Rocky. His unique nature and attitude made the children observe him more and Rocky used it to his benefit.

He spent time with the kids and asking about the security and the structure of the KGF along with history and the kids provided him with the information they knew.

And his eyes were are not blind to the cruelty done to the people by the guards. And one such incident was when he has to watch a child die before his own eyes.

But he was determined to focus only on his mission this time. He couldn't care less about the things happening if he wanted to change the lives of these people.

He did help the people when he could. He didn't want to get noticed but since he is now aware of the whole system he was able to do some good to the people whenever he could.

But the nights were more hard to pass through than the days, for his nights were always haunted with her memories.

No matter how much he tried, her memories kept coming back to him . Her smile, her fragrance everything felt like he was hallucinating.

Reena

A beautiful phase in his life, which he never expected through the course of his life. His path was destined with bloodshed and cruelty but she came as an peace to his burning heart for revenge.

And during the past weeks , the craving and dreams had only increased than the usual, as if she was summoning him with a spell.

And to distract himself he spent his night with other people of the KGF, trying his best to remain focused on his mission.

And that was one such night when he heard one of the stories told to the kids , as in a way to quench their hunger.

But this time his thoughts went back to his mother, the strongest woman he had ever known. He was determined to fulfill her wish and nothing can come between his mission.

And as months passed, he now has a perfect plan to infiltrate unit the maintenance room and find the map .

And just like he has had planned , the plan was executed, and with the distractions he has planned he was able to sneek away from the crowd and reach the maintenance room.

He went through the map trying to find a way to reach the mansion, but he uncovered few more other secrets and by the perfect time he was able to reach back to the crowd without any suspicion.

But to his surprise one of the guys from the crowd had noticed his plan and asked him to take him along.

He warned the guy to not speak a word about it but ke kept pleading to him.

But after few days, Rocky and other workers were gathered in the ground. Rocky was sure that he didn't leave any trace and was puzzled to see that they were able to find it .

For Rocky had misjudged one person throughout his plan.....Vanaram!!

You guys might have realised that this update had taken  longer than usual.

It was not because of the vote target not being completed but also I had seen the decreased response for the story.

I just need answers to the sudden decrease in votes and comments 😔

Do you not find the story interesting?

Or is it because, the story is in the track that we pretty much know what is about to happen??

Or do you want me to sum up the flashback in a single chapter and move on with the current story??
