Sharmishta said looking at her daughter

"Please tell me what happened"
Swara demanded as she knew she should  know this part of story

"It all started in my college days.
Avinash and I were high school friends. First high friends then we decided to enroll in same college. We grew more close to eachother and hence we fall in love during our degree years."
Sharmishta paused remembering some good days of her life

"We knew our love story will lead to some kind of filmy turn because of our social class. Avinash's family weren't some well off. He use to do part time jobs in his college days for his house financial crisis. And I belonged to a wealthy Bengali family. He knew our parents won't accept our marraige but then again I assured him that our parents will accept just like you had thought at some point when you loved Sanskaar"

Swara nods listening to the story attentively

"So it's typical story of you and Avinash uncle weren't capable in terms of money so it didn't happen?"

Swara tried matching the clues but the answer was yet to find

"Your dad still haven't came in frame shona"
Swara was surprised to hear her dad is also in this thing

"Shekhar was also studying in the same college as mine. Shekhar's father and my father were business partners. So I basically knew Shekhar since childhood. We met several times during parties and dinner but never had a good conversation because he was always reserved type. Later on when we were in same college he got along with Avinash very well.
In college we had a group Avinash, I Neha and Shekhar."

Swara understood Neha as in Arjun's mother

"Avinash use to trust him alot and mostly rely on him in terms of anything. He knew our love story too back then and again Avinash trusted him alot that he won't say anything but he didn't knew Shekhar would backstab him really hard"

Swara was shock to hear her own father was the reason of this

*Flashback*

It's been days since their college completed

Avinash got busy learning law meanwhile Sharmishta planned to wait till Avinash complete his intern.
Their love grew more due to distance between them. But A storm was yet to come.

Sharmishta stopped meeting Avinash secretly.
Avinash couldn't find a way to communicate with her as they didn't had any cellphones.
He waited for some days but when it turned out to be weeks he thought to meet her secretly.

One night,
Avinash crashed her bunglow and secretly went to Sharmishta's balcony

He peeked through window and saw Sharmishta was alone sitting on her bed.
He made himself in through that window .
The sudden noise made Sharmishta jumped from her place and she was about to shout but Avinash quickly came towards her

"It's me Avi"
He said taking her in a tight hug

Sharmishta hugged him and sobbed in his arms

"They are not letting me breath Avi. They  are marrying me off."
She said which made Avinash break the hug and look at her face

"It isn't true Shomi?"
He asked to find the news false

"I am sorry. They figured out I am in relationship with you. So that's why they are getting me married in 3 days. I tried many ways to talk with you but failed"
She said palming her face with her henna hands.

He realised she isn't joking

"Let's run away then by morning"
Sharmishta widen her eyes at his sudden sentence

"Are you mad?"
She pushed him little

"Then do you want to marry someother guy Sharmishta?"
He shouted grabbing her shoulders as his heart was clenching by fear

She looks down.

"Listen to me Shomi please let's run away tomorrow morning. I'll tell Shekhar to make arrangements. I'll take care of everything"

She laughed making him confused

"Shekhar, right? Do you even know whom I am marrying? Your bloddy bestfriend Shekhar. He was the one who told my family about us. And my father is giving me to him because of their business deals"
Sharmishta sat on her bed crying like a mess for her cruel destiny

Avinash couldn't believe his friend who he told everything would do like this.

"I'll kill that bastard"
Avinash said as he started leaving from there but Sharmishta stopped him thinking he might do something wrong

But the door opened revealing Sharmishta's parents and Shekhar behind them.

"What is going on here"
Shouted Sharmishta's dad at the top of his voice watching Avinash and Sharmishta standing holding their hands.

Sharmishta closed her eyes in fear. She was feeling like a nightmare appeared infront of her.

"Listen Mr. Sen I was about to approach you in this matter just hear me-"
He couldn't complete his sentence when her father slapped him hard

"How dare you enter my house and talk garbage"

Whole family of Sharmishta had gathered

"And you"
He looked towards Sharmishta and gave a burning sensation across her cheeks which made Sharmishta fall on floor

"Mr. Sen"
Avinash was about to go towards them but was hold by his family

Shekhar wanted to go towards Sharmishta but his legs were stucked in the place

"Don't even try to pull any stunts young Man. I'll make sure you won't walk next day by the continous torture"
Her father said in scary voice

He looked towards Sharmishta

"How dare you bring a man in your room. You are about to get married and here you are spoiling the name of our family. This is why I hate girls. They always spoil the name of family. First your mother couldn't give me a boy and gave me this ungrateful girl."
Sharmishta's mother looked down in shame

He was about to beat Sharmishta again but Avinash somehow got out of the gran from them and came towards Sharmishta becoming her sheild.

"What are you'll doing. Show this bastard his place"
The man shouted at his family and they immediately grabbed Avinash and started beating him with their hands and legs

Avinash was lying on floor dodging himself by their kicks. He was groaning in pain.
Shekhar looked at everything quietly with a normal face

"Papa please leave him. Please I beg you Papa"
Sharmishta said holding her father's legs asking for his mercy. She cried keeping her face on his legs to spare him.

Shekhar grabbed his fist to see her love for him. He maybe tried his all ways to get her but her love for him was undeniably strong

"Stop"
Her dad told the people and they stopped beating him

Avinash was spitting blood by now as his mouth was totally swollen. Brusies all over his hands and face. His arms and legs gave up the strength to work

"How did you even think that you could come to me for her hand. I am Prakash Sen. I keep people like you as my servant Son. How could you even think of having my daughter as your wife."
He made his way towards his body and kicked his stomach

"How dare you to dream this"
He kicked his stomach continuously making him groan more in pain

Everyone was looking at this but none dare to say anything against it. Sharmishta's father was eldest among them. And all feared him

Avinash lost all his energy. He tried getting up and looked towards Shekhar who was looking at him with pitful eyes
He clenched his teeth and got up with all his courage.

He ran towards his direction and slammed him into the wall.

He started punching his face brutally.
Sharmishta gasped at his act and looked at him shockingly

Shekhar tried his best to get out of his clutches but Avinash had his neck in his firm grip and was chocking him.
Evryone tried making him away from him.
But his anger was above all. He didn't moved an inch.

"I trusted you Jerk. I trusted you. How could you betray me like this"
He loosened his grio and gave him more punches

"Why did you had to play this dirty game Shekhar. You were like my brother. Just why"

"Because I loved her and she loved you dammit. She always loved you and there was no other way to seperate you two other than this"
Shekhar said pushing him and finally blurting the truth

"You are seriously a jerk. You don't deserve her. You don't deserve love too. You just deserve to die. Yes betrayals like you just deserve to dieeee"
Avinash shouted in his top voice and again grabbed his neck this time very tightly

"What are you'll looking just throw this mad person out fom here"
Sharmishta's dad ordered his people and they all tried rescuing Shekhar

"She won't be able to marry you jerk. I'll make her mine"
Spoke Avinash as the men were dragging him out. He looked last time at the crying Sharmishta and mouthed her to be ready tomorrow morning. She nods understanding that he's indicating for running away.

Shekhar coughed after they took Avinash. Avinash's finger marks were visible on his neck

"Uncle get me married to Sharmishta tomorrow morning"
Shekhar said rubbing his neck making both Sharmishta and her dad surprised with his unexpected demand.

Next morning,

Avinash as planned came to her house to run away with Sharmishta.
He was limping due to last night beatings. His face wasn't normal. He fought with his family too for his unnatural desicion. And came to take her but his eyes went towards the descorations of her house. He prayed what he was imagining didn't happened in real

He ran into her house through main door didn't fearing of anyone.

Shock was an understatement to Avinash. His heart dropped at the site. Shekhar and Sharmishta were sitting beside eachother with garlands in their body. His legs got weaken at the site.

Yesterday his friend betrayed him and now his love.💔

That moment he didn't cared for anyone. He wanted to confront her for doing this to him. He straightaway made his way to them.

Shekhar's face was swollen by yesterday night act. He looked at Avinash and smirked winning over him.

Sharmishta's eyes were filled with tears to look at Avinash condition.
He came towards her escaping from everyone.

He bent on his knees looking at her
She was in her bridal dress. He wished to see her in this but for only him.

"This man"
Said angrily Sharmishta's father when he noticed the guest were looking at her. But he stopped to let Sharmishta handle it

"Why you did this to me Shomi? We promised eachother to marry then why are you sitting here?"
Avinash asked in his deep slow voice as tears escaped from his eyes. He was a man that didn't cried at whatever hard things went. But now he was being vulnerable thinking someone caught his life.

"Why Did You Betray Me Sharmishta"
He spoke emphasising on every words of his sentence

Sharmishta clutched her garlands "Don't make a scene Avinash here. As you can see I am married already so please lesve"
She said slowly but making it audible to Shekhar and her had who smiled in victory

Avinash heart broke into peices. He nade all plans to make her his wife but here she broke all ties with him as it didn't meant anything.

"Sharmishta stop all the act. Just get up I'll make you divorce him. Just come with me"
He stood up holding her hand but this time he was punched by Shekhar

"Do not dare to touch my wife. Don't create any scene and just go without getting beaten up"
Shekhar now roared at him

Avinash but was not in condition to accept the fact that Sharmishta choosed him. His heart wasn't accepting that his love will remain incomplete

"This can't happen"
Avinash said to himself like mad

"Sharmishta you can't do this to me. Your promised you will be mine. Sharmishtaaaaa"
He was shouting like mad and started breaking every thing near him

Sharmishta's dad spoke "Take this mad out of here wnd make sure to teach him lesson for the loss he made just now"

The new body guards took Avinash with him forcefully

"I will ruin you Shekhar Banerjee just wait till I rise. I will never forgive you both till my death"
He shouted before they throwed him out.

Sharmishta dropped the tears which were in her eyes.

"I AM SORRY"
Was all could she say

*Flashback ends*

Sharmishta wiped her fresh tears to remember the torture she did to an innocent heart years ago.

Swara's tears didn't stopped during the naration. She could feel Sanskaar in the face of Avinash. How he's also persistent in loving her like this.

"I never believed his son would love my own daughter"
Sharmishta spoke keeping Avinash photo frame in the box

"He didn't deserved all that Mom"
Swara spoke for Avinash

"I know! That time I didn't had choice too Swara. I was weak to accept his love over my family's power. I wish if I never started loving him he wouldn't had end up that way. It was my fault"
She said again sitting down

"It was your fault Maa. You promised someone and just broke it. I don't blame Avinash uncle now for not accepting me that time"
She said feeling guilty for her father and mother deeds

"That's why your father and his were against of this Marraige
I never wanted to cross his ways but when you falled in love with his son I felt weak again that you would also have the same destiny as mine"
Swara's heart clenched for the future now as she's doing the same thing again

"Listen to me Swara. It's time for you to move on. I know you still love Sanskaar but please try to move on from him. There's no way anyone will let this happen in both families and I guess you both too won't get together. So do me this big favour stop dreaming of getting back to him.
That's the only way I could repent of my mistakes of not hurting Avinash in any way"

Swara was bewildered by her Mother's request. She knew that it's impossible now to move on because She and Sanskaar have got back together.
How could she leave Sanskaar?

" Why should I pay for papa and your mistakes?"
She said bluntly taking her hand away

"That's the only way for everyone's Happiness Swara. If by any chance Sanskaar came to know about this story will he accept you or love you the way he did?"
The question led Swara into confusion.
It's true that she's feeling guilty for the mistakes of her parents, How would Sanskaar feel when he would get to know about His father's pain? Will he accept her the way he's doing now?

"This is the reason I had hidden it from you"
Spoke Sharmishta before leaving Swara alone giving her space whereas Swara's heart was beating very fast by the outcome of the story she heard. She never belived there's a dark past behind their refusal of marraige.
She now regretted why she asked about the story from her mother. If only she hadn't asked she would be enjoying her holiday or would be with Sanskaar now

Next day Swara was sitting in canteen  hiding from Sanskaar.
Her feelings weren't like before. It was mixed with guilt and sadness

She was in her deep thoughts when someone held her hand making her flinch

"Oh my I almost got shock watching you lost in thoughts"
Said Sanskaar taking a seat beside her laughing at her confused face

She smiled looking at his laugh.

"Why are you so lost today?"
He asked her making her come in senses

"Oh is it? Just thinking of my patient nothing else"
She lied smiling towards him

"Nevermind. I made these chicken cheese balls for you. As I know my Bengali Tiger loves it. So here you go"
He excitingly removed a box and placed on table

She opened it and ate the first peice making him wait for her answer

She widen her eyes

"Is it bad?"
He asked with sad eyes

"I never tasted this delicious thing before ever Sanskaar"
She spoke chewing it and taking the other one in her hand totally fogetting about the incident she was thinking

Wheareas he adored her at how cutely she was eating his dish

"You are so cute sometimes that I just want to look at you 24/7"
He spoke making her look at him with her bigger eyes.

"You are damn cute and hot at the same time love"
He spoke sending chills to her spine. She loved how he always complimented her

"I'll be leaving for now. I have an appointment. Finish all this okay. And listen you are coming to my apartment today. No excuses"
He ordered and ran before letting her speak

She chuckled at his stupidness

She sighed while keeping the box in her bag. She thought she'll tell everything to Sanskaar. And the end desicion would be his!

Time skip

At evening.

Swara finished assisting her seniors in operation.
She came out of hospital for taking some fresh air.

But her moment was disturbed by a female's voice

"The sunset is nice, Isn't it?"
Swara turned to look at Kavya

"We met after a long time. But don't disturb me as I am not in mood to listen"
Swara said closing her eyes breathing slowly

"I was away not because of I was feeling bad of you's and Sanskaar get back together"
She reasoned

"I didn't asked"
Swara said smirking

"I was away because I was having some complications during my 3rd month of pregnancy"
She said making Swara open her eyes and looked at her

"You, what pregnant"

"Yeah, I am but leave this topic I have a two bigger news for you"

"What is it?"
Swara asked crossing her hands

"Your mother and Sanskaar's father had an affair"

"How did you knew"
Swara was shocked at how this girl knew of this secret

"Oh so you got to know of it! Aren't you planning to leave him already"
Kavya crossed her hands smiling evily

"It is my choice to do whatever I want. And What do you think I won't understand you came here to threaten me Isn't it? You will tell Sanskaar everything and he'll leave me isn't it?
Do you really think he would lesve me for this?"
Swara laughed hysterically

"He won't leave you but you will leave him for sure after knowing I am carrying your dear Sanskaar's child Ms. Swara Banerjee. Here's my second big news to you"
Kavya spoke making Swara's heartbeat go faster.

"You're lying"

"I won't be lying about this big fact Swara. You also know I cannot fool you guys. I am saying true"

"Come and say this infront of Sanskaar them"
Swara spoke dragging Kavya to Sanskaar's cabin

She knew Kavya's lying she just wanted Sanskaar to confront her for this big lie

In Sanskaar's Cabin

"What the fuck is wrong with you Kavya? Your techniques failed to make us seperate so now you are blaming your mistake on me. We never had sex then how come the baby is mine? Have you lost it?"
Sanskaar said totally outraged towards Kavya.

Swara stood there watching the scene. She knew Kavya was lying

"I knew you would forgot about that day. But You cannot neglect the photos I clicked of that night"

She scrolled through uer mobile to find something

She gave it to Sanskaar. Swara too came towards him and peeked into it

The picture showed Sanskaar and Kavya were lying under same sheets as Kavya clicked the pics. And she has just covered her with the sheet. Sanskaar was dozed off

Swara's trust was slowly cracking by seeing proofs. She clutched the table nearby falling weak.

Sanskaar smashed the mobile into peices making Kavya flinch at his act

"Swara trust me please she's lying. It's Photoshop. I never got physical with her"
Sanskaar said holding her shoulders
Swara nods weakly getting the facts straight

"Proving me wrong won't prove you innocent Sanskaar. Okay then you forgot about that night then let me remind you. 3 months before we met in a club when you were drinking right?"

Sanskaar remembered that night.

He use to go clubs and bars often months before because of hid unbearable heartbreak. He use to drink hard on weekends there till he lost himself

"And then we had sex that night. I didn't waited for you next morning because you did it in your drunken state. But try to remember we left the club together in my car"
Sanskaar slowly started remembering of that night.

When he was feeling upset watching Swara and Rohan close. And drank alot in the club. He do remember Kavya came to him and they talk for sometime before leaving together.
He didn't remembered the conversation neither anything after

"It's true Sanskaar. It's your baby"
Kavya said making Sanskaar clutched his hair in guilt.

Hr knew he won't cheat on Swara neither in his drunken state but her words were so powerful to make him think that he's guilty.

Swara came infront of his face and slapped him hard having tears in her eyes

"How Could You Do This To Me Sanskaar. "
Was all she could say feeling the betrayal coming from him.

She didn't lost her trust in him but as he was accepting that he met Kavya that night she believed maybe in his drunken state he made Kavya Pregnant.

"I wished we could get back together but it's again INCOMPLETE"
Swara spoke making Kavya smile evily

Sharmishta and Shekhar were standing infront of her father as he sat on his chair.
He was now old but had the same power

"Shekhar Why can't you handle your daughter life properly? Why aren't you letting her marry Kapoor's son?"

Spoke her dad crossing his hands

Rohan is Kapoor's son

"I am sorry Papa. I am trying to convince her"
Shekhar said looking down

"Are you serious Shekhar? Trying? Just do the way I did to Sharmishta.if she refuses make her forcefully marry her. Kapoor is our strongest business partner. I let you take over my company because you were capable. But don't show your weakness just because of your daughter"

Sharmishta gulps that he's again playing with a life and this time it's her daughter

"I'll try my best Papa"

"I cannot believe Swara also did the same mistake as my own daughter but Sharmishta don't worry unlike before How I spared Avinash's life  I won't leave his son this time if he caused any trouble!"

Sharmishta widens her eyes and she remembered the awful past which she didn't told Swara

Flashback
That night when they took Avinash

Sharmishta overheard her father talking to his men of Killing Avinash.
He knew Sharmishta will run away with Avinash tomorrow and he had some contacts with Criminals too.

Sharmishta went and begged for his Avinash's life. She promised to marry Shekhar without causing any trouble

She loved Avinash that moment enough to see him alive. She didn't vwanted her dad to destroy him or his family so she took the desicion and killed her love for him

Flashback ends.

"They aren't even together"
Sharmishta said sweating

Her father kicked Shekhar

"What kind of man are you that you can't even control your daughter. You lost to that Avinash Maheshwari twice. First when he made your deal fail. I helped you gain the reputation back. And second when your daughter ran away with his son."

Shekhar stook up hanging his head low

"Just keep the reputation of us like that Shekhar. Make Swara marry as soon as posssible neither this time consequences would be bad maybe filled with blood"
The old man said making the two of them looked at eachother in defeat
