Ch. 7

"This is an announcement from the Shinra Electric Power Company. The terrorist group "Avalanche" has issued another bomb threat. In response, we have raised the threat level and entered a state of heightened alert. All lines are currently experiencing delays. We anticipate that our arrival in Sector 4 will be later than scheduled."

After the announcement was made through the intercom, the passengers started to complain a little. However, Sara and the others remained quiet and calm as if they were expecting the announcement.

Barret begins to explain the plan, "The target's Mako Reactor 5. From the station, we take the backstreets. Once we're inside the facility, it's the same deal as last time."

Cloud, "Head for mako storage."

Barret grinned, "And then blow it all to hell. Let's do this one for Jessie and Wedge. They deserve it."

Cloud and Tifa nodded in agreement. Sara took a look at the half-empty cart they were on. Looking at the people, they were not too pleased with the delays.

Sara suggested, "Let's split up, so we don't attract attention."

Tifa replied, "Agreed."

Sara went off and walked through two train carts, then took a seat. When she sat down, another announcement came through the intercom.

"The train will be passing an ID checkpoint shortly."

Hearing this, Sara muttered, "The first hurdle, let's hope that the IDs work."

The orange screen came right through the cart, scanning all the IDs of the passengers. During the scanning, Sara's stomach started to fill with butterflies. She'd hope that everything will go smoothly, but knowing that Barret had sent a warning to Shinra. Sara had a feeling that things won't be the same as last time. After going through a few orange screens, nothing seemed to be wrong.

Sara muttered, "That seemed too easy. I'm not too fond of it."

Just as she predicted, another announcement came.

"Emergency ID scan in progress!"

Sara cursed, "Shit! I knew it!"

Sara dashed down back towards where she left the others.

"Unauthorized IDs detected—threat level: critical."

Sara, "Damn it! They've found us!"

"Inspection and containment sweep initiated, commencing at the rear of the train. Lockdown protocol initiated. This train car will enter lockdown in three minutes."

Sara complained, "Shit! You assholes don't make it easy! Or I should say, Heidegger, you asshole always enjoy toying with the enemy!"

As Sara was running down through the carts, all the passengers were thrown into panic. Sara quickly shouted out to them.

"Everyone! Head over to the front cart! They won't catch you there! Hurry!"

The passengers immediately hurried to the front cart. Sara made it to the rear cart and saw Tifa guiding the other passengers out of the back cart.

Tifa saw Sara and cried out, "Sara!"

Sara immediately passed by Tifa and started to attack the incoming drones fighting alongside Cloud and Barret. Once the cart was clear, Tifa immediately closed the door behind her and raised her fists, ready to attack.

Cloud swings his sword, hitting another drone, clicking his tongue; he gripped, "There's no end to them."

Another announcement came, "Four unauthorized passengers successfully contained. Neutralizing threat."

Then more drones broke through the windows as they fly into the cart.

Barret said grimly, "Looks like you're right, SOLDIER boy."

Barret was ready to shoot, then Cloud hissed, "Screw this!"

Barret snapped, "Huh!?"

Cloud quickly explained, "The station will be crawling with security. We gotta jump."

Barret shouted, "Screw that!"

Sara swings her sword at the door, cutting it into slices like cheese. Then she kicked the emergency brake button that was near the door and exclaimed, "That should slow the train down!"

At that moment, the train immediately slows down as the screeching sound of metal scraping on metal. Barret walks over to the open door, balancing himself as his stomach starts to feel fluttering with nervousness.

Barret starts to talk out loud to calm his nerves, "Okay, y'all watch and learn. I'm gonna jump. Gonna do it. Gonna show you how it's done!"

After he said his small pep talk, Barret jumps off the fast pace train. Sara sheaths her sword and turns to Tifa and Cloud with a smirk, "See you on the tracks!"

Sara jumps off the train and lands with ease. She lets out a huge sigh as she stretches out her arms, "That wasn't so bad. It has been a while since I had to jump off of something like that."

"Graaaaah!!!"

Sara heard a familiar shout and dashed to where she heard a sound.

As Sara was heading towards her friends, back at Shinra Headquarters, Heidegger watched everything from inside the train to the train tracks through security cameras. He couldn't help but grin like a happy horse.

Heidegger laughed loudly, "Gya haa haa haa! Well done, Well done! I felt sure we had them, didn't you?"

A subordinate replied, "Sir!"

Heidegger chuckled, "Born survivors, these sewer rats." He turns to his subordinate, "Speaking of which, where is the third?"

The subordinate answered, "In custody, sir."

Heidegger ordered, "Return it to the wild."

The subordinate saluted, "Yes sir, Right away!"

His subordinate leaves the monitor room along with another security officer. Heidegger continued watching the security cameras with enjoyment.

Sara swiftly runs down the path back at the tracks, heading to where she heard the loud shout. She saw Barret nearby shooting down drowns along with fighting some security officers. She draws her sword and swings her sword a few times, knocking out the security officers and the drones.

Barret turned to her with a chuckle, "Well, at least you made it safe."

Sara asks, "Have you seen Cloud and Tifa?"

As if on cue, a familiar voice called out, "Barret! Sara!"

Sara turned to the source of the voice and saw Cloud and Tifa running towards them.

Tifa's eyes were filled with relief, and she said, "I'm glad you made it out safe."

Sara crossed her arms and warned, "Don't you let your guard down. Security won't stop until they kill us."

Tifa lowered her head solemnly, "R-right."

Sara curled her lips slightly and spoke with encouragement, "But we're still alive as long as we're aware of the situation right now and keep our guard up. The mission will still get done."

Barret agreed, "Sara is right, and it looks like it's gonna be plan E."

Unfamiliar with the term, Sara asks, "What's Plan E?"

Barret explains, "Plan A was if everything went off without a hitch. From the station, it would've been a straight shot to the reactor."

Sara frowned slightly and thought, That would've happened if you didn't send out the warning, dumbass!

Barret continues, "Didn't work out, but we knew going in we had to have alternatives. Backup plans 'case we had to get off early from closer in to further out-B, C, D, and so on."

Cloud, "Up to what?"

Tifa answered, "To E."

Cloud groaned and crossed his arms, "Lucky us."

Barret laughed, "You're damn right!"

Tifa looked at the map that was nearby and explained, "Anyway, we were riding the train between Sector 4 and the main pillar when we had to bail out, and we ended up on the adjacent line, which should take us to Reactor 5."

Sara was looking at the map, seeing all the colorful lines that mark different tunnels. She spoke out her thoughts, "So to get to the reactor; we need to follow the tracks, right?"

Barret nodded, "That's right but not too far, though. Need to switch to a different route before we hit the station. Cause as you said before, it's gonna be crawling with security-all on high alert."

Sara questioned, "So how do we know that we're on the right route? These passages used by security are like a maze if you know where you're going."

Barret replied, "Our friends in Sector 5 marked the route, so don't worry about getting lost. It's a straight shot to victory, people!"

Sara asked again, "So how did our friends marked the route?"

Barret, "When the time comes, remember: we just gotta follow the nose."

Cloud questioned, "What?"

Tifa replied, "Stamp's nose."

Sara looked at Tifa, baffled, "You mean that popular cartoon dog that's a mascot from Shinra?"

Tifa nodded, "Yup!"

Barret explains, "We look for graffiti, then head in whichever direction its nose points."

Sara seemed to catch on and question, "So find the cartoon hound and follow its nose, right?"

Barret smiled, "You got it! But pay attention to railway signals too. You see blue lights; you're going the right way."

Sara nodded, "And Biggs? Aren't we suppose to meet him up somewhere? If security is on high alert, then they would go after him too.

Barret nodded, "Jessie was gonna back him up, so it wouldn't surprise me if he needs our help. So let's not keep him waiting."

After hearing everything that needed to be said, Sara begins to walk, "All right, let's go!"

Back at Shinra Headquarters, Heidegger, who was still watching the security cameras, was on the phone with President Shinra.

Heidegger, "You have nothing to worry about, sir. Preparations for the grand finale are proceeding without incident. I have the utmost confidence that everything will play out as you intended."

President Shinra replied, "Excellent, and one more thing but do keep this to yourself."

Heidegger, "Of course, what is it, sir?"

President Shinra ordered, "Bring the woman with the sword to me alive."

Heidegger's jaw dropped in shock, "S-sir?"

President Shinra, "I have plans for her along with questioning her. But to do that, we need her alive. So bring her to me without fail."

Heidegger knew that President Shinra means business. He was wondered why the president himself want to meet this mysterious woman. It's not like she was unique; no doubt she is an excellent fighter. Other than that, the woman meant nothing to Heidegger other than a puny sewer rat.

Heidegger replies with understanding, "Yes, of course. I will not fail you, sir."

The line at the end hangs up, and Heidegger sets his phone down. The subordinate returns to the monitor room and begins to tell his report.

Subordinate, "Sir, analytics reports that the results fall within the permissible range. However, the casualty rate significantly exceeds the previous projec-" Heidegger cuts him off with a harsh voice, "Remind me what your job is. Is it to question the wisdom of your superiors and bemoan your personal hardships?"

The subordinate voice replies with dumbfounded, "Sir?"

Heidegger humphed, "Casualty rate? You think I care about the casualty rate? They are pawns in a greater game. If your stock runs low, then go round up more from Sector 3 or wherever else. Use your head and bring me solutions instead of problems for a change, yes?"

Even though the poor subordinate was only doing his job, just delivering a report. Yet, he had to take the brunt of Heidegger's complaint. The deputy replied, "Sir!"

The officer leaves the room with his comrade as Heidegger lets out a groan.

"It is so hard to find good help these days, which is why the president ought to count his blessings. What would he do without me? Gya haa haa haa!"

Back at the tunnels, Sara and the others continued their journey through the tunnels. At the same time, they were taking out drones and keeping an eye out for graffiti and blue traffic lights.

Sara saw a flight of stairs next to the tracks and saw graffiti on the wall painting of a cartoon hound wearing a green helmet with stars on it. It was the mascot, Stamp.

Sara exclaimed, "There's one!"

Barret sees it and immediately runs up the flight of stars and stops at the painting. The cartoon hound had its nose pointing towards the stairs.

Barret, "In nose we trust."

Tifa, "Good thing our colleagues put up all that Stamp graffiti without it, we'd be lost for sure."

Sara asked, "Why is that?"

Tifa explains, "Because graffiti of a Shinra propaganda symbol is less likely to be removed as other vandalism."

Sara commented, "Smart move."

They continued up the stairs as they did. They came across a nest of monsters. Sara clicked her tongue at the sight of monsters. Many monsters will make themselves at home in the plate and get close to the pipes that hold the mako fumes, which will cause mutations in the creatures.

Sara drew her sword and turns to Tifa, "Ready?"

Tifa clenches her fist, "You bet!"

Sara dashes towards a dog-sized rat and slashes her sword at it, cutting into slices of meat. Tifa starts punching a few of her own. Before they knew it, they defeated the monsters.

Barret complained, "Hey! Save some for me and SOLDIER boy!"

The girls giggled as Sara playfully teases, "What? Are you worried that we're taking the fun away?"

Barret's face turned red as an apple, and he looked away with embarrassment. At the same time, Cloud looked away, too, with his face flushed. The girls laughed at the guys' reactions and continued walking. Yet as they went on, they run into all kinds of nasty monsters, from large snake-like mantis to purple slime gloop.

Sara couldn't help but complain about taking don't nasty critters, "I hate city animals; they're nowhere near as fun as animals from the wild."

Tifa agreed, "I'm right with you, Sara. Maybe we should do a hunt together?"

Sara's eyes widen, and she joyfully replied, "Yes! We should do it!"

Yet, Tifa looked at the dead bodies of the monsters and wondered, "Shouldn't Shinra do something about this?"

Barret replied with a stern voice, "After an accident, they will."

Sara nodded and added, "Yup, right when it's too late."

Tifa spotted something familiar on one of the walls next to another flight of stairs, "Over here, another Stamp graffiti."

They went over to the staircase where the Stamp graffiti is.

Sara looks at where Stamp's nose is pointing and smirks, "Looks like his nose is pointing up. You know, the little dog is kinda cute."

Barret let out a sigh and spoke his words out as if he was spitting out the vinegar, "Yeah, they really captured the essence of corporate propaganda."

As they continued going up the stairs and going down to a platform right between the train tracks, Sara spots a group of Shinra troops cleaning up the monster infestation by burning up nests.

Tifa said, "Look, it seems Shinra is doing something about it."

Barret humphed, "More like a half-assed job."

Sara sighed and said, "Mind if I take these guys?"

Barret looked at her and chuckled, "Cocky, huh? Well, sorry, let SOLDIER boy and myself handle this!"

Barret charged right to the group of Shinra troops followed by Cloud. Sara and Tifa looked at each other and giggled. Naturally, the guys took out those troops easy peasy. They went across another train track and found another Stamp graffiti pointing its nose towards the tunnel nearby and a map below the graffiti.

Barret looked at the map and remembered something, "There's an old rail yard not far from mere. What we're looking for's somewhere inside."

Cloud asked, "And that is?"

Barret replied, "A secret passageway."

Sara smirked, "Then let's head to that secret passageway!"

Heidegger continued watching the security cameras. Then the subordinate came back with another report.

Subordinate, "We've compiled our report on Avalanche's combat capabilities and are-"

Heidegger slammed his hand on the arm of his chair and snapped, "Report, report, REPORT!!! What good do you think a damn report will do anyone!?"

The subordinate looked down and mumbled, "I don't..."

Heidegger questioned, "Have you already forgotten the war with Wutai?" He stood up and glared at the subordinate, "An enemy spared is an enemy who will repay your 'kindness' with blood. We must crush them thoroughly and completely, without hesitation or mercy! Shinra cannot and will not settle for anything less. Will you!?"

The subordinate stuttered, "B-but, sir.."

Heidegger, "If so, I can only assume that you and your men no longer wish to serve in your current positions. Is that correct?"

The subordinate gritted his teeth as if Heidegger was forcing him to do the most horrifying thing, and if he did not comply, he and his men would lose their jobs.

The subordinate spoke with slight hesitation, "W-We'll prepare the prototype in Section E for immediate deployment." He turned to his comrades, "Right now, damn it!"

Heidegger seemed very pleased with the answer and sat back down on his chair.

Heidegger, "Another day, another victory! How do I do it!? Gya haa haa haa!"

Back at the tracks, Sara and the others rush down the train tracks as fast as they could, hoping that the train won't come by soon. Sara noticed that Stamp's graffiti comes by; she would see Barret's face turn sour.

She turned to Barret, "You don't like Stamp, do you, Barret?"

Barret sighed, "It's not that I hate him. I hate that Shinra took a loyal animal like that and co-opted it for their own self-serving agenda."

Sara rolled her eyes, "Poor old Stamp."

They came across the end of the tunnel, but a large steel gate blocked the rail yard; Sara found a flight of stairs and went up then down to the rail yard with the others following her.

Barret looks around and says, "Keep looking for faithful little Stamp. He'll lead us to the passageway."

Everyone started looking around in the area. Tifa finds an enormous machine that looks old and rusted. She walks up to it curiously. Cloud notices her and shouts.

"Get back!"

Tifa looked at Cloud, confused, and then the machine came to life. Tifa was horrified by this, and she backs away just in time before the robot began to shoot.

Barret takes cover and taunts the robot, "That all you got!"

Sara, hiding behind a large metal container, looks at the machine, and her eyes widen in surprise.

Sara, "I recognize that machine. It's an old model. Shinra used it during the war with Wutai."

Barret, "So it's an antique." He begins to think that destroying it will be easy.

However, Sara quickly warned, "Don't underestimate it. That thing may be slow, but it hits hard. Yet, just like the other one, it's weak against lighting materia."

Tifa exclaimed, "I've got some lighting materia!"

Sara smiled and began to form a plan, "All right! Here's what we should do. Cloud, Barret hit that thing with everything you've got but don't use magic. Tifa! You and I are going to hit it with our magic!"

Barret snapped, "Who made you boss!?"

Sara snapped back, "If we don't do it, we're screw! It doesn't matter who's boss right now!"

Barret realized that Sara was right, and so he begins to shoot at the machine.

As Sara said, the machine was slow, but it hit with heavy firepower. The machine moved and was slow-moving as a turtle. Cloud and Barret continued hitting it with powerful melee attacks while Tifa and Sara cast powerful lightning magic. After fighting for fifteen minutes, the battle was over. The robot was ready to explode, but Cloud and the others made it to the passageway before it happened. After the explosion, the security cameras went blank.

Heidegger grumbled, "This won't do."

The subordinate reported, "Sir, Analytics reports that the feed went down after an anomaly was registered during the test."

Heidegger gritted his teeth, "An anomaly? Or an excuse for your failure to properly prepare the armor?"

Subordinate shook his head and defended, "N-no, sir! All modules were confirmed fully operational! It's far more likely, given the circumstances, that the sensors were overloaded."

Heidegger groaned, "Is that so?"

Subordinate, "All the sensors in Section E are...inoperable."

Heidegger couldn't argue with that information. They didn't fully upgrade an old machine like that, so it was bound to have countless flaws. Heidegger's phone was vibrating, and a Shinra infantryman grabs it and hands it to Heidegger.

"It's the President."

Heidegger takes his phone and answers it, "Yes?"

President Shinra, "Is everything proceeding, fine?"

Heidegger replied, "Yes, everything is fine, sir. Better, even there's been a development."

President Shinra, "Excellent, we shall use this new development for the live broadcast."

Heidegger agreed, "Yes, understood, sir."

He hangs up and says, "We know exactly where they were headed. If the armor is intact, then you'd best determine the nature of this anomaly soon. Should you fail to do so, you will deal with our intruders, personally."

The subordinate nodded, "Y-yes, sir!"

Heidegger smiled menacingly, "Don't worry. I treat my people more than fairly. So don't disappoint me."

Heidegger gave the subordinate a pat on the shoulder that made the subordinate feel disgusted and discouraged. Heidegger lets out his famous horse laugh that filled the room with dread.

"Gya haa haa haa! Hahahahaha!"

Back at the rail yard, after defeating the machine. Sara and the others found the secret passage by making their way through the maze of the shipping containers. Once they found the route, they found an elevator and went down to the lowest level.

As the elevator went down, Tifa spoke curiously, "So, you bump into any giant robots like that in Reactor 1?"

Barret replied, "Yeah, except the bastard looked like a scorpion. Speaking of which, what would you say that last one looked like?"

Sara answered, "More like a crab. Just by the way, it moved."

Barret, "Now that you've mentioned it, it did look like a crab."

Tifa nodded, "Yeah."

Sara, "Yet, the next one we may have to face will be more challenging than that one, and from here, it's never going to get any easier.

Tifa's heart sank the moment she heard those words. Cloud gave Sara a scoff, "When did it ever?"

As the elevator stopped at the bottom floor, Sara and the others walked out into an open steel platform. Platforms connected to other sections with catwalks and elevators, massive steel fans blowing the air from the top plate, and below is an aerial view of the slums. It was apparent that they reached the underside of the Sector 4 plate.

Barret observes the area and then explains the situation, "Through here and straight on to Reactor 5."

Tifa sighed annoyingly, "You make it sound so simple."

Barret chuckled, "Only 'cause it is." He points out to a large metal pillar that was in the distance, "That there's the reactor support pillar."

"So, what's the plan?" Cloud asked with a hint of impatience.

Barret answers, "After plan E comes F, G, and then H!"

Cloud grumbled, "Thought E was the last."

Tifa shook her head, "This here is Section F."

Cloud still didn't get it, and Sara explains, "What they mean is the letters that label the platforms on which we got to get across to get to the reactor. So to get to the reactor, we cut through Section G and head for H. A cargo elevator in Section H will bring us to the reactor."

"Well, well, well ain't cha well informed. Might wanna tell us as to how you know that?" Barret questioned with a hint of suspicion in his voice.

Sara scoffs, "I told you before. I used to work for Shinra."

Tifa stepped forward and said curiously, "But you never told us exactly what did you do when you were working for Shinra."

Cloud nodded in agreement; he had been curious about Sara and slightly suspicious of her. Everyone was wondering about what exactly did Sara do when she worked for Shinra.

Sara let out a tiring sigh as she looked out into the distance, "Wish I could tell you, but not yet. I do have a reason it's complicated, but I can tell you this much. I used to work with the president and the higherups closely. I did a lot of dirty work, and one of those tasks was to take care of the pest control on the plate. So I'm familiar with seeing this; that's how I know."

Barret frowned at Sara and questions her, "You worked closely with the top-dogs? If so, then how about you tell us your former job position."

It wasn't a request; it was a demand.

Barret wasn't exactly thrilled to hear that Sara worked closely with the power-hungry president. Of course, he believed that Sara had her reasons for leaving. Now that she admitted that she worked closely with his number one enemy. He couldn't help but want to know more.

Yet, Sara shook her head and said in a calm voice, "I can't, and before you ask why? I've told you it's very complicated. If I told you now, you might not want me on the team, and you probably will kill me on the spot. But I will say this; I must get what I'm looking for, and that's why I chose to join this team."

The others could see the determined look in Sara's eyes. Curiously Tifa asked, "So what is it exactly you are looking for?"

Sara's head lowered, and the determined look faded from her face and turned into sorrow. Tifa wondered if she may have asked too much. She quickly said with a smile, "Don't worry about answering. If it's too much, then don't worry. But whatever it is you are looking for, we can help too."

Sara looked at Tifa with a surprised look. Barret joined in and said, "If it's something you want to know, then you can be sure that Avalanche can help you out. We're in this together!"

Sara's lips curved upward and nodded; her eyes were filled with relief. She looked at the area and began to explain what they needed to do, "Okay, so here's the thing there are elevators and gates that we need to use to get to Sector H. However, something needs to be done if we all want to get to the reactor in time and quickly."

Barret asked, "And that is?"

Sara pointed to an enormous light-up object, "See that over there?"

Everyone looked at what Sara was pointing to; it looked like a gigantic lamp powered by the reactor. There were four of them within a certain distance between each of them.

Sara, "That is called a sun lamp, and there are four of them. They're lamps used for the slums below and are the closest to having the natural sun. However, if we're going to get to the reactor by getting the gates open and the elevators working. We're going to have to shut down all four of them."

Barret exclaimed, "Say what?!"

Sara turns around and crosses her arms, "I'll say it again to get to our destination; we're gonna have to shut down all four sun lamps. Once we do that, we'll be able to cross smoothly and quickly."

Tifa looked at the slums below and said, "But if we do that, the grounders in Sector 4 will suffer."

Sara nodded, but she also added another thing, "That had already happened when we bombed Reactor 1. "

Tifa gasped, "What?!"

Sara explained, "When the bombing of Reactor 1 happened. Not only the topside of Sector 1 lost power, but the grounders in Sector 1 also lost power. So even when we shut down the sun lamps, the grounders will still lose power once we bomb the reactor."

Tifa lowered her head and sighed, "That's true."

Barret, "So we gotta shut down all four suns, and then the road to the reactor is paved. Let's do it!"

Cloud turns to Sara, "Sara, you take the lead. You seem to know this place in the back of your head."

Sara sighed in exasperation, "It's been a while, but sure, and be on the lookout for robot sentries and monsters. Judging from how the place looks, I'd say that the maintenance guys have not been here in months."

After that, Sara and the others begin to shut down the four sun lamps. As Sara said, many monsters made nests around, and once they shut down one light, many robots started to come out and attack the group. But nothing stopped them from reaching the cargo platform in Sector H.

Before long, they finally shut down all four sun lamps, and power was restored to the cargo elevator. The group walked on the cargo elevator, and Cloud pushed a button then the elevator begins to move.

As they were waiting, Tifa wondered, "I wonder what the reactor is like?"

Tifa remembered seeing the one reactor back from her hometown. She still wondered what the reactors in Midgar were like on the inside.

Barret replied with a grim tone, "Dark. Dismal. A slaughterhouse where they butcher the planet. Then there's the smell of the mako. Be ready for it."

Tifa nodded, "Right."

The elevator stopped in front of another large platform, and they got off the elevator, went to a ladder, and started climbing.

Barret said, "Okay, Biggs should be waiting for us.

Tifa said in concern, "He's probably worried sick about us."

Once they reached a small balcony, they found a sizeable open-air vent that .someone had opened. Sara was the first to crawl through, followed by Cloud, Tifa, and Barret.

Tifa began to worry and said, "Even after all that fighting we have made. No one is coming for us?"

Cloud replied calmly, "No need. This is Shinra's city; they have cameras everywhere."

Tifa exclaimed, "Why didn't you say something sooner?!"

Cloud shrugged his shoulders, "Way too late to bail now."

Barret added, "It's like walking a tightrope. When you're on it, only two ways off."

Tifa sighed, "Better keep my balance."

Cloud smiled at her, "You'd be good at it."

Tifa chuckled, "I wonder."

Sara turned to Tifa and spoke with some encouragement, "Don't worry, we're all in this together."

Tifa nodded, "Right!"

Sara knew that this whole time Tifa had been nervous and didn't have the heart for it. No one would unless you're as thick-headed as Barret or coldhearted like Cloud.

Sara, "Remember this. There are some things you will never get used to."

As they continued going down the hallway, Cloud sensed someone nearby, and immediately he drew his sword and was about to slash at the person. When a familiar voice cried out, "Mercy!"

It was Biggs who had come out of hiding.

"Cloud? Where's Wedge and Jessie?" Biggs asked, surprised to see the merc here.

Instead of answering, Barret orders Biggs, "Report."

Biggs immediately obeys and briefly explains the situation, "Topside's going nuts after some terrorists jumped off a train. Nice and quiet here, though. So quiet, I had no trouble securing your route into the reactor." Biggs points at another air vent that was already opening and will lead them to the reactor.

Barret commented, "You magnificent son of a bitch, bring it in!"

Barret tried to give Biggs a bear hug, but Biggs dodges it and turns to Tifa, "So where are the others?"

Tifa replied, "Jessie got hurt and couldn't make it."

Biggs, "Bad?"

"Not so bad she couldn't rope in this guy." Barret tilted his head to Cloud.

Biggs smiled in relief, "Thanks for stepping up."

Cloud, "It's a job."

"Worked out pretty good, you picking that train you did. While Shinra scours Sector 4, you can waltz right on into Sector 5. It's a bit of a squeeze, but it ought to get you where you need to go." Biggs looks at the large air vent.

Barret frowns at the vent, "Little dark and foreboding for my taste."

Biggs smirked, "Beggars can't be choosers." He paused and went over to a large duffle bag, "Oh, and you'll be needing your grappling guns, of course." He hands the bag to Tifa, "All set?"

Barret nodded, "Ready to take on the world and then some!"

Tifa turns to Biggs with a concerned look, "Make sure everyone gets clear, okay?"

Biggs, "Will do!"

Biggs walks over to a trapdoor and opens it, then uses his grappling gun and shots at the ceiling. Once the grappling hook was secure on the roof, Biggs falls right down to the next floor. Once the hook fell, Barret closes the door. Tifa hands a grappling gun to Cloud and Sara.

Barret, "Okay, y'all. Keep these grappling guns close. Secure'em to your belt or whatever so you don't lose 'em. When we're done, we'll be using these babies to get down safe. All of us."

Cloud nodded, "Got it."

Tifa nodded with determination. Sara looks at the vent and lets out a deep breath. Somehow she felt that something was waiting for them, and she knew it was never something good.

The four of them started crawling their way through the air vent. Barret did have to squeeze his way through, considering how big he is. At the same time, Sara and the others didn't have any issues. Once they got through the vent, they found themselves in a spacious room that Shinra filled with weaponry and robots.

Barret sniffed the air and smelled a familiar scent that wrinkled his nose, "That's it. That's the smell. This place reeks of mako."

Tifa now understood why Barret dislikes the smell of mako. She agreed with him and said, "Looks like we made it."

Barret took a look around the place and turned to Cloud, asking, "Layout's the same as Reactor 1?"

Cloud nodded, "Yeah. We're near mako storage."

Barret smirked, "Let's move."

Tifa looked around where they were at and noticed something that there was not a way down. She spotted a large pipe that went down to the floor below.

Tifa rushed to the pipe and said, "Hey, maybe we could use this to go down?"

Barret, "Better than looking around."

Tifa nodded then slid right down the pipe. Sara followed next and slipped down the line. She couldn't help but let out a shout of joy since it was both thrilling and a bit scary. The guys went down as well as they walked through the large room. Barret spotted an enormous robot that appeared to be in the process of building. The robot looked like a person on some hover.

Barret called out, "Hey! Check it out. They sic this big boy on us; we'd be screwed six ways from Sunday."

Cloud takes a closer look at the robot and explains, "Mechanized units like these were designed to take giant monsters. This one's probably a new prototype."

Sara added to the conversation, "They use these to avoid sending out members of SOLDIER to keep the numbers. Not everyone can make it into SOLDIER, which is why they build as many of these guys as they can because a SOLDIER's life is worth more than a mecha."

Cloud nodded in agreement since what Sara said held a lot of truth. Building a battle robot is more accessible and less troublesome. While a member of SOLDIER, on the other hand, is a different story. A SOLDIER could turn against Shinra by their own will and make a SOLDIER harder than a robot. It's also easier to train and deploy troopers, so Shinra sends out their infantrymen and mechas often than sending out a SOLDIER member.

Yet, looking at the robot, Cloud could tell that this new robot is well equipped and designed. He spoke, "If they do decide to deploy it, then our best bet would be to run like hell."

Barret didn't want to think of what would happen if it did deploy. He shook his head, "Then let's hope he sleeps through the explosion."

The group continued on walking, following their nose to the smell of mako. As they were walking, Sara noticed something odd. There was not an employee or a trooper inside. Did they really empty the reactor just from the train incident? Sara doubted she knew there was no way that Shinra would let them in so quickly. Something is not right. Sara put her left hand on her katana as she continued walking. At the same time, her eyes darted from one direction to the other, looking out for anything.

Finally, they reached the reactor core.

Tifa looked down below and saw the lake of mako and murmured, "That smell...it takes me back."

She could remember this smell coming from the reactor in her hometown. It was not hard to forget.

Tifa turned to Barret, "So it was like this last time?"

Barret replied, "Little more chaotic." He turned to Cloud, "Ain't that right?"

Cloud nodded, "Yeah."

The group descended the long ladder and walked over to the reactor core. Suddenly Cloud felt a sharp pain and grunted painfully. Sara felt an acute pain in her heart and looked at Cloud concerning. She touched his shoulder, and then her vision changed. Sara could see a large room filled with pipes and metal floors. Then she heard a familiar voice.

"Sephiroth... SOLDIERs... Mako... Shinra... I'm sick of this!"

Sara looked up and saw Tifa crying over a man lying on the metal floor. Except she noticed that Tifa seemed a bit younger, and she was wearing a cowgirl outfit with a short leather skirt and vest with pockets, a button-up corset, a white shirt that reveals her belly, a belt around her hips, cowboy boots, and a hat.

Tifa shouted, "I'm sick of all of this!"

Tifa cries again, Sara wasn't sure who the dead man was, but he had to be someone dear to her. Tifa wipes her tears away and gets up, then picks up a long-familiar katana and walks over to an open hallway.

"Hey! Sara! Sara!"

Sara immediately snaps out of it and notices Tifa looking at her with concerning eyes. Sara shook her head and wonders what that vision she had was.

"Sara?" Cloud asks. She looked at him and noticed that he, too, seemed to be slightly concerned. She shrugged her shoulders and shook her head.

Cloud seemed to have got the message and walked on. Once they walked over to the reactor core, Cloud presents his hand to Barret, who hands him the bomb.

"How much time we need?" Cloud asks; he remembered that he had to set the timer on the last bomb.

"Got all the time in the world." Barret replies with a sneer, "This one comes with a remote detonator."

Tifa shows Cloud the detonator that she pulled out from her pocket and said, "Courtesy of Jessie."

Barret, "We withdraw to a safe distance then kaboom!"

Cloud questioned, "Safe distance?"

Barret, "What? No such thing? We get out the same way we got in. Let's double back."

Sara finally asked, "Hold it. Don't you think this is a little too easy?"

Barret looked at her confused, "Whaddya mean?"

Sara, "Think about it. All this time since we've got in. No one hasn't stopped us, which means that something big is happening."

"Gya haa haa haa! It looks like the little rat guessed right!"

Sara's eyes widen in horror as she knew that laughter quite well. Suddenly the ladder they used lifted out of their reach, and then a large steel door opened with a dozen drones coming out. Four of them formed a square and projected a giant hologram of none other than Heidegger himself.

Heidegger sneered, "Greetings, my dear sewer rats! As architect of our populace engagement campaign, I, Heidegger, head of Public Security, bid you welcome."

Barret glared at the hologram, "The chief warmonger."

Sara scoffed, "More like the chief dumb horse considering his signature laugh and his pea brain."

Cloud nodded, "Won't argue there."

Heidegger didn't seem to mind or hear the criticism and continued his speech, "You should be flattered. Right now, you command the undivided attention of every soul in Midgar."

Another screen was projected by the other drones, showing a news report. A male reporter begins his announcement.

"Breaking news from Mako Reactor 5. Shinra has confirmed the reactor to be the target of the bomb threat issued by the terrorist group Avalanche."

Behind the reporter was a small video of the security camera that showed Biggs, Jessie, and the others getting into Mako Reactor 1. Seeing this put Cloud and the others on the edge as the announcer continued his speech.

"Members of the group were observed entering the facility, and security is currently sweeping it for explosive devices. We now go live to the scene."

It switches to a live-action scene that shows a group of angry protesters and a female reporter explaining the situation with a calm voice.

Female reporter, "I'm here in the Sector 5 undercity. Having confirmed the terrorists' target, the Shinra Emergency Operations Center has issued an evacuation advisory. Residents are outraged that the tragedy of Mako Reactor 1 was only the first attack in a campaign of violence."

It then goes back to the leading reporter who concludes the announcement, "President Shinra has issued a statement providing assurances that the terrorists will soon be brought to justice."

After that, the hologram screen disappears as Heidegger looks at the group with a sneer, "And so, to a people beset by chaos and uncertainty, we will offer the finest comfort: bread and circus!"

Then more drones project a hologram of a familiar giant robot. It was the robot they saw earlier that wasn't activated.

Barret exclaims, "The big boy!"

Heidegger, "I give you Shinra's latest triumph of technology! The air buster! Your executioner!"

The hologram air buster starts to project something out of its hand as if it was going to shoot at the group! Cloud, Tifa, and Barret covered their eyes while Sara stood her ground and glared at the fake robot. As if she knew that the fake one wouldn't harm them.

Heidegger laughed at their reactions; then, an unknown voice interfered with Heidegger, "Engineering on the line. Currently, the air buster is only sixty percent operational. The estimates were optimistic."

Heidegger snapped, "I'M ON AIR!!!"

The hologram of Heidegger vanishes; however, his voice came through the intercom shouting.

"To the imbecile in charge down there, you are hereby ordered to seize those intruders and bring them to me! What's the status of the air buster? Sixty-percent?! Bullsit! I swear if you fail me, I'll throw you off the plate myself!"

The steel door opens, and three troopers rush in, armed and ready.

"Come quietly, or there will be trouble!"

Sara clicked her tongue, and her body vanished next thing that happened, the three infantrymen were all down. Tifa and Barret were amazed at Sara's speed. On the other hand, Cloud narrowed his eyes in suspicion again and wondered, The way she moved; obviously, she is no ordinary fighter.

Sara turned to the group and crossed her arms, and sighed, "Just as I thought, they knew we were coming, and we fell right into their trap."

Barret agreed, "Yeah, and their bullshit news is already peddling their false narrative."

Tifa sighed in frustration, "So we're screwed."

Barret shook his head, "No, no no no, no no! Hell no! Listen! They wanna turn this into a spectacle? Then I say let's give 'em one! Let's take down Shinra's big-ass mech in front of everybody!"

Cloud nodded, "Okay, I'm sold."

Sara's lips curved upward and said, "And I've come up with a plan."

Barret asked, "That is?"

Sara explained, "Simple, we weaken the mech first. You heard the dumb warhorse. The mech is only at sixty percent, which means we have a chance now to take out certain things from it to make it weaker—giving us the advantage."

Barret chuckled, "I like the sound of that."

Tifa asked, "But, how are we supposed to weaken it?"

Sara, "This isn't just a reactor storing mako. They also build and repair mechs here; we saw the air buster on our way in so they're probably getting ready. That's when we go ahead and prevent Dummy's mecha from going to fully operational."

Tifa smiled, "Sounds good, let's do this!"

The group went through the doorway and down through the hallway. Once they went through another door, they found themselves in a large room filled with parts and security offices. Luckily the security officers were no match for Sara and the others. Once they cleared the room, they walked over to a computer showing the status of the air buster.

Sara looks at the computer and explains what the screen says, "Seems like they need to add a few more components, and the big boy is ready for action."

Barret asks, "How do we weaken it?"

Sara replied, "I need a keycard, preferably a master keycard. Once I have it, I'll be able to take out the components that will weaken it."

Cloud began to search the area for a keycard. He found a small red card that was about the size of an ID card. He walks over and hands it to Sara.

She smiles at seeing the card and happily says, "Splendid! This is a master keycard. Now we don't have to worry about searching for other keycards. If we did, it would take us a while to find them, and not to mention we will lose time after that."

Cloud watches her and asks, "So what are you going to take out of the mecha?"

Sara answered, "I'm going to take out anything that will make it regenerate, move faster, and shoots powerful attacks."

After Sara finishes typing, the computer and robotic announcement were made, "Components flagged for disposal."

Barret couldn't help but comment, "Just imagine the look on their faces."

Tifa asked, "So, where did you send the discarded stuff?"

Cloud replied, "If I had to guess, to a storeroom for defective equipment."

Sara suggested, "We could use those stuff to help out when we face the mecha."

Barret nodded, "Sounds like a plan."

Sara, Tifa, and Cloud began to make their way to the next exit door. Their tracks stopped when Barret clears his voice and starts to talk out.

Barret, "All right, listen up! Everything Shinra has told you is a goddamn lie! Mako is the lifeblood of our planet!" Sara interrupts, "They can't hear us."

Barret turns around and yells, "Say what?!"

Sara, "If you're trying to talk to the audience that's watching us on TV. You can't because Shinra muted us; they can't hear us but only see us."

Barret gritted his teeth, "That's a bunch of bullshit!"

Tifa turned to Sara with a worried look, "Do you think we've weakened the robot enough?"

Sara sighed, "We've done what we can, and now we face the hard part."

Barret, who was not worried in the least, said, "It's all good. The stage is set; all that's left is to hijack Heidegger's show!"

Cloud asks, "We're getting close to the exit. Is the detonator still in range?"

Tifa nodded, "We should be good."

Barret, "The moment big boy goes down, you hit that switch."

Tifa, "Right!"

The group continues going up through different floors and makes it to the floor when they first arrived. But going through each floor wasn't easy; they couldn't leave without fighting a few Shinra troops. The group made it to the elevator and went up.

Barret spoke words of encouragement, "We're gonna get through this. We're gonna make it home all of us, no exceptions."

Tifa nodded with a smile, "Right, we don't wanna disappoint Marlene." She turned to Cloud, "That goes for you too, Cloud, right?"

Barret, "You'd better give her a big ol' smile this time."

Cloud, "If the price is right."

Barret and Tifa chuckled at his words. They knew that he was only joking.

Sara added, "I'll give her a big hug this time."

Barret smiled, "She'll love that!"

The elevator stopped, the door opens revealing another storage room. Cloud walks over to the computer next to the large door. Unfortunately, the door is locked.

Sara clicked her tongue, "Damn, why is it locked?!"

Tifa asked, "Is there a way to get through?"

Cloud nodded, "Through that room over there."

Cloud typed in a few codes to the computer, and the door on the far right of the room opened.

Barrent couldn't help but complain, "Why does everything have to be so damn complicated?"

Cloud remembered something, "You know, the faulty equipment storeroom's that way too."

Sara recalled something as well, "When there's a storeroom, the defective equipment is there too."

Barret seemed intrigued and said, "Then let's check it out."

They went into the room and found another door leading to a massive room filled with equipment. The room was filled with equipment for mecha building tools and among the supplies were the same components for the air buster that they disposed of; Sara couldn't help but smirk at the parts. They were in glass containers filled with all kinds of items, such as phoenix down potion, ether, grenades, and mega potions, all perfect for battle.

After looting the faulty equipment storeroom, they went back to the other room and saw a large console unit with four levers. Tifa was wondering how they are going to open that next gate.

Tifa turned to Cloud and Sara, "So how does this work?"

Cloud answered, "It's simple, really we move the levers at the same time."

Tifa went for the two levers in the middle; Barret took the lever on the left, and Cloud took the last one on the console's right.

Tifa asked, "So we need to synchronize our movements?"

Sara answered, "Yes, but Tifa, you need to be the one leading the boys."

Barret looked at Sara with a raised brow, "Why?!"

Sara, "Because she has the levers that need to go first, follow by the two of you."

Barret wanted to say something, but he realized that he doesn't need to bring more salt to the table. He kept quiet as he and Cloud wait for Tifa to make a move. Tifa naturally was easy to follow, so they quickly opened the door then left the control room. After going through several corridors, they made it outside and found the bridge that exits the reactor. But just when they thought that things were going well, Tifa spots a bunch of drones ahead.

Tifa points to the drones and exclaims, "Look!"

The drones project a giant hologram that was none other than President Shinra!

Barret's voice became low as he suppresses his anger, "President Shinra?"

The man who is the number one enemy to Avalanche, Barret, loathed this person to the bone. One of the drones hovers near the group as it looks at their faces. The president uses drones to see things like seeing through a camera while he sits safely in his office. The drone turns to Cloud, and President Shinra notices a familiar color in Cloud's eyes.

President Shinra ponders, "Oho, the eyes of one who has bathed in mako which would make you a....SOLDIER?"

Cloud denies and says, "Ex-SOLDIER."

President Shinra chuckled, "Once a SOLIDER, always a SOLDIER though not, alas, for very long."

Cloud grunted when he heard this as if he knew what the president meant, while Barret and Tifa were confused.

President Shinra explains his words, "Accelerated cellular degradation being the most common cause of death by far. This is classified, of course, but every SOLDIER knows the truth."

Tifa gasps at hearing those words and turns to Cloud. She could see that Cloud knew of this; she also noticed Sara, who looked like she knew about it. Even though those in SOLDIER get super-human strength, there is a high price to pay for it, and that is a SOLDIER's life. Many members suffer from degradation due to the mako in their bodies; the fusion will shorten a member's lifespan. Not many SOLDIERs will live past their late thirties.

"Think you forgettin' someone?!" Barret yelled and shot at one of the drones.

The hologram of the president disappears for a few seconds and then comes back again. The president shakes his head and sighs.

President Shinra, "Would that I could. You strike me as the type to go on without end."

Barret begins to rant, "Ain't enough hours in the day to hold you to account for all your crimes!"

President Shinra sneered, "And what a wasteful indulgence it would be even if there were."

"Oh, okay then.." Barret grabs the drone in front of him and starts talking right at the camera as if he was talking to the president directly.

Barret, "Let's talk about wasteful indulgences. What is mako? The lifestream! The lifeblood of the planet, our planet! But Shinra keeps on slurping it up like a thirsty dog! Whadda, you think's gonna happen if you don't stop, huh!?"

President Shinra smiled and admitted, "We do indeed keep on "slurping it up," as you say. But for whose benefit, I wonder. The true nature of mako is known to one and all, yet the people willfully turn a blind eye to the cost. As you must surely be aware?"

That was a hard truth there; many people rely on mako to continue their daily lives until they believe that it wasn't so bad in taking a planet's life. But not many people believe that, and Barret was one of them.

Barret shouted angrily, "Don't you dare try to put this on us!" He smashes the drone he held and continues, "If anyone's going along with your plans, it's 'cause you brainwashed 'em!"

Yet, Presiden Shinra shakes his head and denies, "Such methods are beneath me, as for you, my sewer rats." He pauses and declares, "Henceforth allies of wicked Wutai, our sworn enemy. Thank you for stoking our people's patriotic fervor."

He then recalls something and says, "Ah, and there is one thing that I want, or I should say, someone."

Suddenly more drones came in and shot several chains at a person who happened to be Sara!

Sara didn't react quickly enough and was trapped. The drones carried her in the air as they brought her near the giant hologram.

Cloud and the others yelled, "Sara!"

Sara tried to wriggle her way through, but the chains were wrapped around her tightly that she could barely move. She looked at the president with the intent to kill. The president smirked as if he was enjoying seeing the pitiful Sara unable to move.

President Shinra, "You, my dear, will come to the Shinra headquarters for some further questions."

Sara gritted her teeth and shouted, "To hell with your questions! Why do you care about a hunter like me?! What do I have that you don't?!"

President Shinra laughed, "I believe that you do have something. You just won't admit it. Now I shall let you watch your friends die right before your very eyes. Until then, enjoy the show."

The hologram of the president vanished. Barret pointed his gun at the drones holding Sara, but he realized Sara would fall below where there is nothing for her to land if he hits the drones. He mentally curses that he can't save Sara yet.

Sara immediately tells the group, "Guys! Don't worry so much about me; just focus on destroying that mecha when it gets here!"

Tifa looked at her worriedly, "But..." Sara interrupted her, "No buts! Just do it!"

Suddenly another hologram formed, and this time it's Heidegger.

Heidegger, "Gya haa haa haa! You still don't understand your role in this."

Another hologram screen shows up, and it shows a security cam video of drones doing something to the bomb they planted on the reactor core.

Barret gasps in shock, "What are they doin'!?"

Heidegger sneered, "Don't you see? You fools were never in control. Never anything but pawns in our plans to sell great and glorious war to the people!" He pauses and holds a remote that is the same as Tifa's, "And your instruments of insurrection will detonate when we so choose!"

Heidegger pushes the button, and the timer of the bomb starts. Tifa gasps and tries to stop the timer by pressing the button, but nothing happens. This means that what the drones did to the bomb, they hijacked it!

Barret curses, "Goddamnit!"

Heidegger opens his arms out and announces, "Now let us raise the curtain on our main event!"

A helicopter flies over the bridge and drops the mecha that the team knew they were facing; the air buster! The mecha lands right in the middle of the bridge the group was standing on.

Heidegger declared, "The trail of the eco-extremist group; Avalanche! Terrorists who conspired with Wutai against Midgar! Your guilt is undeniable! Your punishment: death!"

The mecha came to life as it readies to attack.

Tifa walks over to one of the drones and kicks it making the hologram of Heidegger vanish. Her voice was shaking that was filled with anger.

Tifa spoke with anger, "I'm sick of this."

She then shouted, "I'm sick of all of this!"

Suddenly Cloud and Sara both flinched. Cloud's head hurt while pain struck Sara's heart with sharp pain. Sara remembered the vision of seeing Tifa in the cowboy outfit saying the same thing.

Sara heard Cloud's voice in her head saying, It's just like...when I failed you.

She shook her head and looked at Cloud, who was lost in thought. Sara immediately yelled, "Cloud! Get your ass in gear!"

He shook his head in response and immediately began to attack the mecha, then Tifa and Barret begin to do the same.

However, Sara felt ashamed that she couldn't be out there helping out. She was stuck being wrapped in chains while dangling in the air. All she could do was watch.

The battle against the air buster was, without a doubt, a hard one with the clock ticking since the bomb is on a thirty-minute timer. Cloud, Barret, and Tifa did their very best to fight it. It was almost like seeing three lions trying to tackle an elephant. Yet, the air buster finally went down and exploded. The explosion was so big it melted the middle of the bridge. Tifa and Barret rushed over to the spot and spotted Cloud dangling down while holding onto something.

Barret looked around, "We don't have long to get clear!"

Tifa gasped, "Barret! Cloud look!"

The two guys looked up, and they saw the drones carrying Sara away. She was still struggling but couldn't break free. Barret clicked his tongue since he wouldn't be able to make the shot.

Cloud immediately tells Barret, "Take Tifa, and get outta here!"

Barret was stunned to hear those words. He thought that the spiky jerk only cared about himself. He began to admit, "I..I was wrong about ca.."

Cloud snapped, "This ain't the end of the line for you, Sara, or me!"

Suddenly bullets were being shot at them. Drones were flying in, and Barret knew that he and Tifa needed to get out fast!

Tifa didn't want to leave Cloud behind. Barret picked her up and carried her like a sack of potatoes. Cloud lets go of his grip and falls; he grabs his grappling gun and shoots at anything. The grappling gun manages to hook onto a small beam, but with Cloud's weight, the hook came undone, and he continues to fall.

Meanwhile, Sara was still struggling to break free. She knew that if she were to be taking to Shinra headquarters, there was no telling what will happen. But what could Sara do? How can she get out of these chains that were binding her?

Suddenly, she felt a sense of calmness. As if the world around her were still. Sara remembered something that an old friend once taught her and recalled his exacted words.

Remain focus and never lose sight of what's essential. But also remember this one thing the most, embrace your dreams and protect your honor; always.

Sara's eyes snapped open, and she gritted her teeth as veins starting pumping hard inside her. Tensing her body up, she twisted her body and somehow managed to grab one of the chains, then turned it, making the drone attached to it pull down and crashing into one drone. After that happen, the chains around her started to loosen. Sara grabs her katana and slashes her way out of the chains, and destroys the drones.

But because she was flying over the plate, she started to fell right through the gap and went right down to the ground level.

Just when she was about to use her grappling gun, a massive wave of drowsiness came over her. Sara didn't know why she was so tired; it wasn't like she was exhausted from fighting. She tried to fight it off, but her body wouldn't listen to her. Her eyes finally close as she went into a deep sleep while falling.

However, black feathers burst beneath her, and Sephiroth flew towards her from below caught her in his arms. Sara was sleeping so deep that she didn't even know who was holding her. Sephiroth held her close to him as he descends. He lands near an abandoned warehouse and looks at the sleeping Sara with a smile.

Sephiroth whispers in her ear softly, "Come find me; I'm waiting for you, and so is Mother."

He sits her down on the ground and flies away with black feathers falling.

The sound of footsteps was coming, the large door of the warehouse opened, and walking in was someone that knew Sara. Leslie Kyle was doing his errands and was stunned to see Sara lying on the ground unconscious. He rushes over to her and notices that she appeared to be in a deep sleep. Leslie couldn't figure out why or how Sara wind up in here. But, he knew she had to get her out of here as possible and take her to a safe place that he knew. He picked her up, carrying her in his arms, and walked in the direction of Midgar's biggest and most infamous entertainment quarters; Wall Market.
