04. Inari In Miami

Chapter Four, Inari In Miami

"I feel like I'm always crying when I talk to you, Joe," Inari said as they sat in the restaurant.

Joe had brought Inari out for a romantic dinner but it wasn't romantic at all. Inari took a big step in trying to reconcile with her husband during the dinner.

Inari stated she was fucked up about her last fight with Joe and how it reminded her of her parents' relationship when she was a child and she didn't want that for her kids.

Inari wanted to discuss where they stood with each other. Joe begins the discussion by reflecting on his life and how there are certain values he was raised with and he expected his wife to honor those values.

Inari shook her head. "You knew who I was, if I'm not honoring those values then why the fuck did you marry me, Joe," Inari said.

During their discussion, "We can still work. I want you to continue your success and, you know, make lots of money," Joe told her.

Inari grew frustrated when she felt her husband was not understanding her issues.

"You not getting through that I just need you to be supportive. We keep talking 'bout money, we keep talking 'bout all the things that are unimportant to me. I don't care, like, do you not understand?" Inari asked as she began to cry.

"I don't know what else you want me to say, Inari, because I feel like I am telling you that I support you in your ventures and goals, but you have to put us and the kids first, that's all," Joe said.

Displeased by the course of the conversation, Inari ultimately decides to walk away.

"I'm going to Miami, I think we need time apart," Inari told him.

"Are you serious?" Joe asked her.

"Deadly," Inari answered.

"Inari, not that I'm not happy to be here but why are we in Miami?" Trinity asked Inari as they entered the rental house that Inari rented for their stay in Miami.

"Because I'm house hunting," Inari answered.

"Oh, you and Joe are moving to Miami?" Takecia asked Inari.

Inari shakes her head no. "No, I am," Inari answered.

The group that Inari brought with her looked at each other in shock and confusion.

"Are you saying that you're leaving Joe?" Zadia asked Inari.

"I just need some space and time away from him, that's all," Inari answered.

"But you could have done that from one of your guest rooms in your house, Inari, but to come all the way to Miami is giving you're done with Joe," Carmelie said.

Inari rolled her eyes. "The man keeps saying how I'm trading in being his wife for fame so why would I still want to be around him in the same house," Inari said.

"Are y'all fighting that bad?" Takecia asked.

"Bad, like I feel like I've been crying more lately than ever before in my entire life," Inari replied as they all took seats in the living room.

Inari started crying. "You know I find myself asking what kind of man did I marry, like where is the man that promised me a life of happiness, because I don't know this man in front of me anymore," Inari told the girls.

Everyone was shocked. They knew Joe and Inari were going through problems but they didn't realize how bad it was for Inari to sit here and break down like this so quickly.

"Fuck, Inari, have you guys thought about trying counseling or something?" Zadia asked.

"He thinks we don't have a problem, I'm just the fucked up one," Inari replied.

Trinity shakes her head. "Jon is like that too. When we fight it's like I'm the problem and he's not but we work things out because we love each other. And I know you and Joe love each other so you guys have to figure out this out, don't like the hurt to turn into hate," Trinity told Inari.

"I could never hate him but I'm tired of him," Inari said.

"So, what...Are you going to divorce him?" Carmelie asked.

Inari shrugged. "If he doesn't see the error of his ways then I will be looking for a good divorce lawyer," Inari answered.

"Oh my God," The girls said at the same time in shock.

"Damn, Inari," Zadia said.

"Yup," Inari said.
