Victor opens the door to personally welcome her. The look he has on his face has been waiting for almost a decade to come through.

"Hello, doll!" he exclaims, "I am glad that you are finally here."

"And I am here too." Brent peeks from behind Inara.

"Oh!" Victor looks a bit pissed but continues to smile, "A treacherous guest too." He ushers both of them in, ordering the servants to take Inara's luggage upstairs, in his room.

Inara doesn't look so shocked as she was here with only one goal, get back her memories.

"You look oddly cooperative." He suspects Inara but she has a comeback.

"Don't want any more heads on my doorstep." She replies with sass.

"Very well." Victor grins and looks at Brent, "You can have tea before you go." He was just about to turn when Brent stops him.

"I have something for you." He smiles. A sly smile that Victor knows all too well.

"A gift." Two come from his behind, carrying a sack. They dump it on the ground and Inara's eyes widen.

"You bastard!" she tries to rebel but some hold her from behind. "You fucking bastard! You played us again!" she screams, taking Victor completely by surprise.

"I am intrigued, brother." He looks at the sack calmly and then back at Brent. "What is it that you have done?"

"You thought I had betrayed you?" he asks sassily.

"Your actions don't speak otherwise. You wouldn't go out ratting about my plans, especially to my enemies." Victor was not yet convinced.

"It's not what you call ratting out, brother." He goes on to touch Inara's face but she spits on him. "It's called giving them a warning."

"It's called lying, you fucking, maniacal bastards!" Inara shouts.

"Please gag the lady's mouth." Victor orders one of his men and Inara is gagged, much to her protest. "Please continue." He tells Brent. He was surprised to see this face of his brother.

"I thought, for how long will we stay in the shadows and play these idiots when we have all the power in the world?" Brent roams to the sack. It was still. "Why do we have to fear these idiots when we know what to grab for the real power?"

He opens up the sack to reveal....

"Elder Beta!" Victor exclaims looking at the unconscious boy on the floor. "What is this?" Victor asks, a bit unsure.

"The power we need to grab." Brent looks at him with dark eyes.

"At the party, when you were out there straightening the trinity boys (Zade, Damon, and Kyros), I was there, watching these two like a hawk." He points at Inara and Beta. "To say the least, they might have bonded over the few hours."

"Now what would you make of a kid, who has been locked away for his whole life, gets to see the light in someone?" he points at Inara. "HE becomes curious. He wants to become a part of that life, of that person. In the end, he follows them."

"You mean to say, the Elder Beta was with the Blue Moons for all this time?" he licks his lips. Not a few hours ago, he got a frantic call from the Elder Alpha requesting him to put out some of his men to find their youngest, the Elder Beta.

"That is what I saw when I went to Inara's house too, you know 'rat you out'." He smiles. "This was my plan all along. I just had to make sure that Beta was there. My instincts are never wrong."

He places a hand on Victor's shoulder, who was still shocked, "You might think what I did wasn't the right way, but trust me. You got everything you wanted."

Victor licks his lips again. He is not sure how to respond to it.

"I will explain all of it brother, but not here." he looks at Inara who looks back at him with fires of hell in her eyes. "Escort the guests out of here, then we can have a one-on-one chat."

Victor looks at Beta, who was still unconscious, "Don't worry, he'll be like that for a few hours."

"Okay." He orders his men. "Get the lady to my room and the boy in the dungeons."

"I suggest you put both of them in the dungeons." Brent says and whispers the next part, "You don't know when the she-wolf will wake up. And we don't even have enough blood to cure her bite for you, let alone your whole crew of men."

Victor thinks again. What Brent said was true. He changes his orders back.

"Both of them, the dungeons." He walks to Inara and places the necklace over her. "This will stop you from doing anything stupid."

Inara keeps mumbling and shouting as they drag her to the dark place of dungeons. Beta is carried by two more men to the same place.

Victor signals Brent to come to his office to get more privacy.

"So, what is your master plan?" Victor sits down, facing Brent.

"The plan where I get to see you as our new Elder," Brent replies.

"You have Inara. A miracle of nature, making you practically invincible." Brent starts. "And then you have the Elder Beta. The one obstacle in your path to achieving that status of power."

"You know without their Beta; the Elders will crumble to pieces. You would be left with a whole new world of wolves to rule." Brent carefully places Victor's favorite words to please him.

"Am I thinking whatever that you are saying?" Victor cocks his eyebrow. There is no way his brother would be suggesting this.

"You know me the best, big bro." he smiles.

"It's a crime punishable by death. Killing a kid is punishable by death." Victor says unsurely. His mind keeps saying that it is okay, but he doesn't want to admit it, not so soon.

Was Victor, for the first time, contemplating killing someone?

"You are not contemplating, are you?" Brent scoffs, knowing it would irritate him.

Victor gets up, looking out of the window. His pack has kids too. They play in their house's courtyard. Killing one in front of them would just sends out the wrong message.

"If you are concerned about the pack members, they don't need to know what happens down at the dungeons. One can die of some unknown disease as well." Brent follows his gaze at the window. His brother was actually trying to show some humanity.

"And that dungeon also has a special wolf, whose you know, poison can kill." Brent gives him the idea.

"Don't underestimate the Beta. He is a powerful little prick." Victor says, still thinking.

"Then you can do the deed." Brent gives him a dagger. Their family dagger. "Will you let go of this opportunity?"

"Can you stop talking for a second!" Victor shouts at him. It doesn't surprise Brent as he knew this was the reaction he was expecting.

"You have already killed two, what will you lose if one more gets added to that list?" Brent challenges him.

"Irene's baby was unborn and we don't know Evelyn was even pregnant," Victor replies, looking at the dagger. It was the same dagger he used to stab Irene.
