Zade is shocked. He has been thinking about why his fairy tale was going this well. It was just making way for something worse to come. And that has already come, in front of the house porch. Abir and Ivory walk out with Kyros in the wheelchair. It takes so much power for Kyros to subdue his anger in front of that maniac.

"Remember me?" Victor grins, showing his ugly teeth.

Zade looks at Evelyn as he realizes he got played by her, once again.

"Don't look at me like that. I had a debt and I paid it off today." Evelyn looks at Inara before saying this, "Enjoy this life with Zade, in a complete mess. Don't blame me that I didn't warn you." She smirks and starts walking towards Victor. But another turn of events shocks Evelyn too.

"Where are you going, doll?" he grips her neck from behind. Needless to say, Evelyn had a hard time freeing herself from it.

"Vic..." Brent whispers, "Her work is done here." he pleads to his big brother but he just chuckles, with a dark expression on his face. That moment, Brent knew he screwed up.

"We aren't, little brother. We need her for one more thing." He smirks, looking at Kyros.

"I see I finally found you." He strengthens his hold around Evelyn's neck and her whimpers were the only thing that Zade could hear. Everything else was really quiet.

"Leave her. Whatever you have, you have it with us. Leave her." Kyros says angrily. He was still weak but he wouldn't stay away from taking a stand.

"Oh, don't worry. Evelyn here isn't as innocent as you deem her to be." Victor clutches her hands behind her back.

"Do you remember it, Kyros?" Victor was moving with Evelyn towards Kyros. "How Inara awoke her wolf?"

Kyros's eyes get wide at that mention. He looks at Inara who was having a hard time breathing. Zade helps her stand properly but Kyros knows what Victor was trying to do.

"She had always been insecure and jealous. She would fight for something she thought she deserved." Victor smirks, caressing Evelyn's neck as if trying to stir some memories of Inara.

───── ❝ Flashback ❞ ─────

"But that doll was supposed to be mine!" A ten-year-old Inara had taken the whole house on her head. Kyros brought in many exotic gifts from his visit to the United States, along with a vintage doll. But he gifted it to one of the worker wolf's daughter, Anna.

"Inara." Kyros crouches up to her height and caresses her face, "You already have so many dolls with you. The last one I bought; you have already broken it. You both can play with that doll but she can take better care of it than you."

"But it was supposed to be mine! I deserved it!" she almost upturned a table and Kyros looks at her angrily.

"Enough! Anna is also your age so she deserves dolls too!" he shouts at her.

"Please don't scold her, master." A small voice stops Kyros. It was Anna. "I will give the doll to her. She can play with it."

"Look at her." Kyros points at Anna, scolding Inara. "Even at this age, she understands the meaning of sacrifice and how to be a good-hearted person. Learn something from her."

Kyros then caresses Anna's head, "Don't give it to anyone. You deserve to play with it. It is my order." He says this and goes inside.

Anna looks dreading at Inara and runs outside, not wanting to face her wrath. But Inara wasn't someone who would give up so easily.

She will get what she deserves!

───── ❝ Flashback Ends ❞ ─────

"Anna...," Inara says a name as she clutches her chest. Zade felt as if he could hear bones cracking.

"Bingo!" Victor exclaims. "You are starting to remember!"

Kyros stands up suddenly after hearing that name but was stumbling. Abir helps him and he was shaking with anger.

"Stop!" he warns Victor but he still continues talking to Inara.

"I'll jog up your memory." He grips Evelyn harder, making her whimper. "This woman here is stealing your mate. The thing that you deserve! What will you do to her? The person who was trying to take away the one thing that gives you happiness?" he smirks.

Zade understands that Victor was forcefully trying to remind her of her memories so he turns Inara towards him. He thinks his mate bond will help her.

"Inara, calm down!" he rubs her arms lightly. Inara looks at Zade and tries to breathe slowly. "He is just instigating you. Do not pay heed to his words and just focus on me."

Inara seems to calm down but this wasn't going too well with Victor. In one swift motion, he takes out a syringe and pushes it in her.

"Wolfsbane," Victor smirks and drops Evelyn's body on the ground. Her face was burning and she was screaming in pain. Since it was a very small dose, all she felt was an immense amount of pain. Inara starts breathing harder again after seeing this, remembering something very awful.

"Stop.... don't don't......please save me." Evelyn tries to plead, looking at Zade and then at Brent too. Zade tries to stop Victor but he smirks again.

"You are taking a stand for someone who ruined your life." He scoffs looking at Zade's pathetic face, and then it hits him.

"You don't know?" Victor was shocked. "She didn't tell you?" he laughs out at the irony. "You sure are very cunning." He looks at Evelyn's weak form, still wincing in pain. "Shame that we have to let her go." He was just about to step on her face but Inara grabs his hand, stopping him.

"She is supporting you now?" he tilts his head at Evelyn and then looks at Zade.

"Who do you think told the Silver Bows about Irene's pregnancy?" he smirks knowing that Zade wasn't ready for this bomb.
