"What is this?" Brent looks at the letter which Zade gives him.

"My resignation." He says sternly.

Brent looks back with a shocked face. He couldn't show his amusement that their plan may be working.

"Are you sure? Did something happen?" Brent says, trying to sound concerned.

"Just, my pack needs me right now." Zade gives a content smile. He doesn't know how this will turn out but these are the steps to making things right.

"You can take a few days off. It's only been a month since you..." Brent tries to sound like someone who cared.

"I know. Since I started working here. But, juggling two things that need my full attention will just make it worse." Zade says.

"Okay, then. No reason to keep you here." He gets up and hugs him. Zade tries not to get too close to him. He doesn't like how humans smell.

"Good thing you resigned before the weekend starts. We can go out for a drink tonight." Brent offers.

"I am actually leaving town for a few days so why don't you hold onto that drink till I come back?" Zade smiles and takes his leave. Brent grins and dials Victor's number to give him the good news.

Zade pulls in front of Inara's house. He could see Ivory's car in front. He takes a deep breath before shutting off the engine.

"Time for the second thing." He whispers under his breath and strolls to her house. Not much to his surprise, Ivory opens the door.

"You?" she questions when she saw Zade. He invites himself in much to Inara's shock too.

"Hey!" he says cheerfully after he sat on the couch, making it less awkward. "So, I was thinking last night."

"Oh, you think?" Ivory stands in a defensive position.

"Ivory, please. What are you doing here Zade?" Inara shushes her.

"Well, if we have to know and defeat Victor, we have to do it together." He smiles through his teeth looking at both the women in front of him. They both had questionable expressions.

"What?" Ivory finally asks.

"I am helping you guys!" he says more cheerfully.

"What?" it was now Inara. "Zade we already...."

"Yes." He cuts her, "We already talked about it. But now I am more than ever curious to know what happened." He walks towards Ivory, "And it is only possible when Inara has her memories."

"What are you getting at?" Ivory asks impatiently.

"I am saying that Inara is the best person here who would know why Victor is after her." He elaborates.

"Your point is?" Ivory asks again. It was unusual for Zade to change his mind so quickly.

"We meet Kyros today." He finally says it. "Call Abir and let him know." He signals Ivory.

Inara just stood there, listening to other people making decisions for her. But maybe, it was the best for her. She has to start trying to get her memories someday, and what better than meeting her brother as a start?

"Ah, Iv, I was just about to call you. Zade has...." Abir says from the other line.

"Zade is here." Ivory blurts out.

"What do you mean?" Abir asks, confused.

"At Inara's house. And he said he wants to help us. He wants to meet Kyros." When Ivory says it out loud, it seems more ridiculous.

"What?" Abir is also confused.

"I don't know what to say." She looks over Zade's shoulder at Inara. She seems to be fine with it. "And Inara is fine by it."

"Zade handed his resignation letter today," Abir says after a minute's silence.

"What is he up to?" Ivory still looks at the back of Zade.

"I don't know. But for now, let them meet Kyros." Abir decides.

"Are you sure?" she asks hesitantly.

"If it's what Inara wants, then yes," Abir says with a sigh. She still wasn't really talking to any of them. "I'll see if I can get off work earlier. Have a safe drive, okay love?"

"Okay. Bye. I'll see you there." Ivory cuts the call.

"So, permission granted?" Zade asks.

"What is it that you really want?" Ivory asks him.

"We have a trip ahead. Save the questions for later." He gets out of the house, playing with his car keys.

Ivory and Inara glance a look at each other.

"Are you sure?" Ivory asks her too.

She doesn't say anything and follows Zade to the car. Ivory takes a deep sigh and takes the house keys with her.

"Oh, hi Ivory. What a surprise!" Isaac hugs her when they reach the hospital. "And hi to you too Inara. You look healthy."

"I am trying." Inara smiles. "Can I meet Kyros today?"

"Of course. And him too?" he points awkwardly at Zade.

"Let me properly introduce myself." He stretches his hand out and Isaac shakes it. "I am Zade."

"I know who you are. Saw you a couple of times at the hospital." Isaac gives a sly smile as if he knows something else too.

"Shall we?" he shows them the way to Kyros's room.

Ivory and Inara have seen it countless times but it was Zade's first time. And when the door opened to show Kyros's state, Zade felt guilty.

Kyros was bed-ridden, tubes coming out from various parts of his body. There were machines around him, constantly beeping. The room was filled with shrill breaths that Kyros was taking with the help of a machine. Now Zade knows why Kyros wasn't capable of doing anything.

Inara and Ivory walk towards him. Inara sits beside him and takes his hand in her. It had a needle there so she had to be careful.

"How are you?" Inara's voice seems to break. "I have been good. I finally found out that I am a wolf." She smiles, her voice still whimpering.

"We just had the craziest last week." Inara proceeds to tell Kyros about everything that had been going on. Zade wouldn't want to interrupt their moment so he quietly exits the room. Time for doing the thing he came here for.

"Doc?" Zade knocks on Isaac's door as he was busy looking through some papers.

"Just call me Isaac. Come in." he ushers him in and offers him a seat.

"How long have you been working here?" Zade tries to make a conversation.

"Seven or eight years? It's all hazy." Isaac looks at him again with that sly smile and it makes Zade uncomfortable.

"Why do you keep looking at me like that?" Zade asks.

"Took you long enough to come." He grins.

"Huh?" Zade looks at him with a raised eyebrow.

"You have questions. Or you wouldn't come all the way here just to meet Kyros." He says with that smile plastered on his face. It was now annoying Zade.

"I came to meet you." He leans on the desk with both his hands. "What do you know about the Blood Stone Pack?"

"The pack was killed in the 2nd war. The Alpha King is bed-ridden, in a coma-like state. The next in line of the kin, his sister is unaware of her wolf side, which makes her a human. But that seems to be changing once you came into her life." He leans back on his chair.

"They have wolfsbane in their fangs and claws but their blood heals it, making the Blood Stone wolves one of the strongest and unbeatable packs of all time."

"I know that," Zade says.

"Wow, you seem to have done your homework well, haven't you?" Isaac grins and gets up, "If you know that already, what else do you want to know?"

"I want to know how is it possible?" Zade asks.
