"There is a way," Odin says.

Zade sits down to listen to Odin. "You remember Kyros?" Odin asks.

"Yes, of course. How can I forget him?" he scoffs.

"Well, then you might also remember how he lived deep in the forests, away from other packs." Odin reminds him.

"Yes. Which brings in my question as to how Damon even met him. He trusted him enough to give the responsibility of our entire pack."

"Well, it wasn't just because he trusted him. He earned it." Odin says. "Damon was 18 or something when he first encountered Kyros. We all knew how Damon was during that age."

"Reckless. Not a stickler for rules." Zade chuckles remembering those days.

"Sir, the Alpha king has ordered us not to go beyond here." the horseman puts a halt to Damon's activities.

"And you are here on my orders, not my dad's." Damon rebukes and gets down from his horse.

"Sir, please." He grabs his hand and that was his mistake. Damon doesn't like being grabbed. He throws him towards the tree in one swift motion.

"Do not put a hand on the future alpha king." He orders, asserting his dominance. The other horsemen shivered at his tone.

"What is beyond here anyways?" he asks one of them after looking at the distance.

"Some forest hippies have their home here." one says.

"So? It's easy for us to get in anyways. We are wolves." He takes off his shirt. "You all stay here. I'll go and explore."

"But sir..." one of them tries to stop him but Damon had already made up his mind.

"Uh uh. Don't anger me. Wait here. I'll be going for some hunting." He grins as he takes his wolf form and before they can blink, he was already gone.

The forest was as dense as it could be. But Damon couldn't sense anyone there. He tries to sniff more to find any of those forest hippies but nothing. He groans and gets back to his human form, naked and covered in mud. He didn't realize that he had run himself into a swamp.

"Now this will be a pain to clean up." He groans as he tries to get out of it. Even with his human form, his senses were quite sharp. He senses a movement just behind him but sadly his reflexes weren't that quick.

A tiger jumped on him, throwing Damon more into the mud. He has a hard time breathing but he somehow pushes back up. He wasn't that powerful against the tiger in his human form but once his wolf comes out...

"AAAH! You son of a..." the tiger bit him hard on his shoulders. It was excruciatingly painful but Damon knew what the tiger's next target was. His head.

He struggles despite the pain but something threw the tiger from over him and pushed it towards the tree. He tilts his head to see the person but it was a wolf.

It was a brown wolf but it was much larger than the normal ones. The wolf didn't hurt the tiger but instead, it growled. And it seemed that the tiger 'obeyed' its order and ran inside.

Was Damon dreaming or did the tiger just bow in front of a wolf?

The wolf now turned into a handsome boy and rushed towards Damon. He kept slapping his cheek but Damon had already lost a lot of blood.

"You said you fed him your blood?" Odin asks shocked at the half-naked boy standing in their living room. According to the horsemen, he was the one who saved Damon.

"Yes. He was already bleeding a lot. My blood wouldn't actually have done much but I saw his ring and I thought if he has an omega, it will work out pretty well." The young boy answers.

"You are bleeding," Odin says, holding the boy's wrist.

"I had to feed him the blood, right? It will heal itself, don't worry." He says, retracting his hand. He bows politely before leaving.

"You are leaving? Without a goodbye?" Damon's voice calls out the boy. He was now okay and he actually did heal himself.

"Are you okay?" Odin asks, worriedly.

"Yes, Odin. Thanks to someone." He walks to him and holds his hands, thanking him, "I owe you my life. Is there anything that I can do for you?"

"You don't even know about me." The young boy answers cheekily.

"Then let's start with some introductions." He sits down on the mat and asks him to join him too. Odin looks at them amusingly. He could sense a strong friendship forming.

"Damon Carter. Future alpha king of the Blue Moon pack." He introduces.

"Kyros Walton. Alpha king of the Blood Stone pack." He smiles because he knows that Damon will lose his smile after hearing it.

"Alpha King?" Damon stutters. He was saved by a king?

"Loosen up. Now that I know that you will be the future king, I think you would know how to help us." Kyros says.

Flashback Ends

"He asked for our protection. When he heard our pack's name, he knew we had the authority of the Elders." Odin says with a smile remembering their first encounter. "Damon swore to protect them and they became like brothers. He improved a lot by having Kyros around him. He understood the meaning of responsibilities and duties."

Zade takes a deep breath. He didn't know so much and he was out there to kill the one cure his brother could have had.

"So, you mean to say that Kyros's blood is the cure?" Zade asks.

"Yes. He was from a special generation of wolves. That's why they stayed in isolation. They didn't want people to use their powers. Their blood had healing properties. But..." Odin was going to continue but Zade stops him.

"But you said that his blood only worked when Damon had Irene." Zade looks confused.

"Because that was a mortal injury. Not poison." Odin states. "What Damon is suffering from is poisoning."

"Wolfsbane." Zade says in small voice.

It was the deadliest poison for wolves. It wouldn't hurt them right away but it would slow down their organ functioning, melt their skin to the bones, and at last, make their brain so crazy that they would beg to die. If they had any wounds, they wouldn't heal quickly and it would become more and more painful with each passing day. No one had survived this long with wolfsbane except for Damon.

"Kyros's pack had wolfsbane in them. More specifically, their fangs and claws. They had that to protect themselves." Odin states.

"Wait, that means he had wolfsbane running in his system?" Zade asks, shocked.

"That's where their blood comes to the rescue. It keeps a balance in their system." Odin concludes.

"So Kyros's blood will cure Damon, even though Irene is dead." Zade thinks. "Then why didn't he offer it before we went to exile. He even handed us a file for doctors."

"Damon refused to use Kyros's powers to heal himself." Odin remarks.

"Is it possible? Will his blood really cure Damon?" Zade asks again. He has a hard time wrapping his head knowing about 'special wolves'.

"That is the risk I am willing to take. Though Damon is in his last stages, so I don't know how much blood will we require and how effective it will be." Odin points out.

"But...we don't know where Kyros is." Odin gives a frustrating sigh.

Zade gulps at that. He knows where Kyros is. He was rushing to kill him few nights a before.

"He is closer than you think," Hunter says from within and Zade keeps thinking that should he tell them or not. But Odin says something else.

"But," Odin places a hand on his shoulder, "He wasn't the only one with such powers. He had a sister."

Zade freezes at the mention. Kyros's sister was Inara. Inara was his mate. Inara was a special wolf and she was his mate. He has a hard time breathing now.

He now understands why Victor would be so hell-bent on chasing her.

"And I believe you know her," Odin says that suddenly.

"Inara..." was the only thing that Zade said.
