Zade didn't want to kiss Inara when she wasn't aware of herself.

He pushes the steering wheel out of anger. He was so frustrated with everything that has been going around and he needs to blow off some steam.

"Will you tell Odin?" Hunter asks from within.

"Not until Inara becomes a complete wolf." He takes a deep sigh. Victor is after her and he doesn't want to put his family in any more danger.

"So, you will put your mate in danger?" Hunter growls.

"One in comparison to many. Tough choice Hunter." Zade scoffs. He would anytime choose his family over anyone but this time it sounds wrong. All because she was his mate.

"But, don't worry. Once she is strong enough to protect herself, I'll tell Odin and her too." Zade says as he could see his car approaching. Abir and Ivory are here.

Abir parks it in front of his car and walks out, looking at Zade in confusion.

"Why are you out?" he asks.

"My duty ends here." he gives him the car keys and proceeds to go to his car. "I hope this is the last we see of each other. And, please tell her the truth this time." Zade requests him one more time before driving ahead.

Abir takes a deep sigh and enters the house. They both see Inara sleeping on the couch, glasses, and a whiskey bottle, empty.

"Zade was inside or did she drink all of it?" Abir asks worriedly as he helps Ivory carry her into her room.

Zade keeps driving. He doesn't want to go home so he just keeps circling the neighbourhood.

"Let's go and meet Damon," Hunter suggests.

"He'll be asleep now," Zade says.

"Let's just go and see him. You need to calm your uneasy thoughts." Zade nods quietly as he swerves back to his ancestral home.

He would always feel calm and composed around Damon. Even without talking to him, Zade seems to finds all his answers that he had been looking for.

He pulls in front of the house and sits inside for some time, silently.

Should he tell Damon about Kyros being alive?

"When.... when is the ceremony?" Damon tries to talk but coughs a lot. Odin and some servants are still tending to his wounds.

"Two days from now. Then we leave too." Zade says, trying to control his tears.

The war was over but so was Damon. Irene was dead and Damon was broke, both physically and mentally. Nothing could save him now.

"Finally! I will be able to see the world." Damon jokes but Zade knows it was only to take his mind off of the pain.

"You don't have to attend the ceremony," Kyros says from behind. He has helped the Blue Moons from the day the war started.

"Yes, Kyros is right. You don't have to. We have a long journey ahead of it afterward so you should rest." Zade supports Kyros. Damon was in no shape to go anywhere but the Elders couldn't care less.

They gave them a 'punishment' for creating chaos in a peaceful environment. An exile for six years with your close family. That leaves their entire pack without a leader.

"I won't miss another second of Zade ruining his life by marrying someone." He chuckles again to subdue his pain.

"Some air will be good for you," Odin says, mixing a pack of herbs and applying it on his shoulder.

"But..." Zade and Kyros both protest but Damon speaks up.

"Please."

Zade takes a frustrating sigh and leaves the room in a dash. Kyros signals them not to worry and that he will take care of him.

"Zade?" Kyros places his hand on his shoulder.

"Are you good? I mean handling our pack and yours at the same time?" Zade questions. Damon decided to give the responsibility of the Blue Moons to Kyros during their exile.

"Trust me. I will protect them." He sits beside him with a groan. "How are you holding up?"

"About what? That my brother is dying? Or that we are being exiled somewhere? Or the fact that I have an arranged marriage with someone in two days? Or the fact that she will accompany us on this trip? Or the fact that how uneasy I feel leaving everyone behind?" Zade finally speaks after a long time. He couldn't talk to Hunter as he had completely shut him off after Irene died.

And Kyros had become a trusted person towards Zade.

"You are doing far better than other people here, Zade. You are holding up. You are keeping your pack ahead of everyone. That is the sign of a good leader." Kyros compliments him.

"What if I don't want to become the leader yet? I want Damon to get back on his feet and make everything right." He says frustratingly.

Kyros lets out a sigh and gives him a file, "This is the list of some doctors outside of Alaska. Use this time to find some cure for Damon. Just take my name and it will be free."

Zade takes the file from him and sniffs, "Why...why are you doing so much for us?"

"I told you. Your brother protects me and my pack. I owe him my whole life." He gets up and gives one last advice, "Remember that you can't save everyone but remember that you have to try."

"What are you doing outside?" Odin surprises Zade. Zade wakes up from his thoughts and gets out of the car.

"Just thinking." He looks at Odin carrying a basket.

"Why are you up so late?" Zade asks as they go towards their house.

"Collecting some herbs." He enters the house but Zade was still standing out, hands inside his pocket.

"Come in, what are you waiting for?" Odin says again and Zade looks at the stairs.

"Is Damon awake?" he asks.

"Yes. He has been in a lot of pain for the past few nights." Odin replies. Zade could feel the pain in Odin's voice. They tried every hospital, every doctor that Kyros had suggested but they all said Damon was a lost cause. Even Damon thought that he was a lost cause.

But it was Zade and Odin who kept their hopes up every time.

"Meet your brother," Odin says when Zade again stops in front of the stairs.

"In this state?" he jokes, pointing at his arm. His bruise on the head was healed but his arm still had bandages.

"Damon already knows. But I am more curious as to why you were going out of town?" Odin asks him. The hospital must have told him the location of the accident but Zade told him not to come and meet him and instead stay back to take care of Damon.

"Just work," Zade replies. He doesn't know if he wants to tell them about Kyros, like now.

They enter Damon's room and Zade could see that his state has actually worsened. His skin seems to be wearing off of his body and Zade could clearly see his skeleton. His eyes were pulled into his sockets and he was shivering in his bed. Some liquid seems to be dripping off of his body.

Damon tries to turn his head towards them and Zade could hear some bones crack.

"Is...that..." he asks meekly.

"Yes, that is Zade," Odin says, holding his hands, putting some herbs on them. They worked for five minutes but withered.

"The poison seems to be in its 3rd stage." Odin remarks.

Damon starts to cough some blood and Zade couldn't watch anymore. He dashes down the stairs, hiding his tears. Odin looks at the door and then back at Damon. He gets that sick feeling where he could actually feel the pain in his chest from watching something that really breaks his heart.

He wants to end the suffering of Damon but he has to keep trying.

He goes down to comfort Zade, who was sitting at the end of the stairs, crying.

"Don't worry." He places his hand on his head, caressing it gently, "He will be okay."

"How? In this state...?" Zade asks after looking at Damon. He can't see his big brother like this.

"I think there is a cure," Odin says but not in a confident manner.

Zade's eyes lighten at that.

A cure? After this long?

"How.... after so long?" Zade asks Odin.

"There is a way," Odin says.
