Goo x Bot

Bot was going for a short walk around Indefinite Island, when they heard something that caught their attention immediately. A voice, singing.

"One day, he'll look into her eyes, and say that 'you're my only light...'"

Their favourite song. They slowly walked over and began to join in.

"It's impossible to get you off my mind,"

Wait... was that Goo? He sounded so different when he sang!

"I think about a hundred thoughts and you are ninety nine..."

He had an amazing voice. Bot ran a robotic hand through their dyed mint green hair and sat down beside him.

"I understand that you will never be mine..."

He noticed them and smiled a little, before the two finished the song together.

"And that's fine... I'm just breaking inside..."

Bot turned to their best friend and grinned. "I didn't know you could sing! You have an incredible voice!"

"Thanks!" Goo replied. "You like that song too?"

"It's my favourite," Bot laughed. "It's so sweet."

They leaned over a little and rested their head on Goo's shoulder as the sun began to set in front of them. He didn't stop them. Hell, he had a crush on them. On a robot. But they were so... real. Bot loved him right back, without him even knowing. They weren't sure how they could feel love, being made of metal, but they were glad they could. It was wonderful.

She stares at her ceiling once again, with a hundred thoughts...

He wasn't female like the girl in the song, but he related to her. He was always trying to hide his feelings for Bot, since they could never love him back.

Maybe he knows who I am... probably not.

Maybe they knew how much they meant to him... probably not.

She walks down the hall with her head down low, scared to meet his eyes.

He walks around the island, pretending he isn't harbouring such love, almost scared to talk to them in case they found out.

Even when she hears his voice, she's swarmed with butterflies.

Whenever Bot hears Goo's ecstatic voice, it fills them with pure delight, and the feeling of butterflies in their stomach, something they never knew they could experience.

It's impossible to get you off my mind...

He can't stop thinking about them.

I think about a hundred thoughts and you are ninety nine...

He fills their thoughts, he's all they can see in their artificial mind.

I've understood that you will never be mine...

They're a robot. He'll have to get used to being alone.

And that's fine... I'm just breaking inside...

They know he can't fall in love with a lump of metal with a pale skin-like surface and bright green hair. They've gotten used to that, but it still hurts.

Oh, how they love each other.
