Hiromi Yamato (寛美 大和 Yamato Hiromi) is one of the main characters and overarching protagonist of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba while also being the main character of the prequel series Demon Slayer: Inamorata. She is the Angel and Yokai Queen, being the progenitor of all angels in existence, the co-leader of the Twelve Kizuki, an organization made up of the twelve strongest demons under her husband's direct command, & the leader of the Eight Tsubasa, an organization made up of the eight strongest angels under her direct command.

A millennium ago during the Heian Era, Hiromi was turned into an angel from a poisoning attempt and the kami granting her a second chance at life and has been supporting her husband Muzan with his goal of finding the Blue Spider Lily so that he could walk in sunlight once again.

Hiromi is a very loving and gentle young lady. She is said to be the only person that the Demon King, Muzan himself ever loved, besides the children they have. She is well known for her kindness and optimism, two of her greatest strengths. Her kindness is what made the people in the village care about and respect her the most out of the rest of the members of her family. She was the only one outside of Muzan's mother who treated the future Demon King with immense care and respect.

Compared to others her age, Hiromi has no problems helping the lower class. She did this even if other upper classes would be watching her in possible disgust for helping commoners, especially those sick. This is most evident when she started caring for Muzan when they were young and continued to care for him as the years went on.

Thanks to her upbringing as a noblewoman, she is a cultured and elegant individual who holds herself together despite most situations she's placed in. That being said, Hiromi is very determined and sometimes stubborn when it comes to her beliefs, not afraid to argue with those with more power than her whenever Hiromi is defending what she believes in. This includes how Muzan should be treated like any other human, how she can't leave Muzan alone after she dies, and how she believes the world is full of beauty and life.

After her children are born, Hiromi is a loving and affectionate mother who tends to keep a close eye on them to ensure they don't run into trouble. She taught them most of what she learned during her youth when she was still a human and hoped for them to be cultured and caring individuals.

꒰🦊꒱ SYNOPSIS ♡꙼̈ ࿐ ࿔

Hiromi was born during Japan's Heian Era as the second daughter of the Yamato clan, a family of merchants that dealt with rice and sake. One night while Tonomi was still pregnant with Hiromi, she had a dream where she met the deities, including most of the infamous kami. They had told Tonomi that the child she was carrying would meet with the kami and even be blessed by them in the future.

Ever since she was a child, Hiromi was practically revered in the area that she resided in. She was both beautiful inside and out, not like the other noble girls around her age. Unlike the nobles who all sneer in disgust at the mere sight of the commoners, Hiromi genuinely cares for them and is not afraid to hide this side of her from the upper class.

One day, her family was invited to the Kibutsuji estate for a party, which is where she and other children were introduced to a young Muzan. While the other kids, including Muzan's cousin, made fun of or looked down on the sick child. Hiromi, however, didn't partake in the bullying and instead defended Muzan from his cousins and the other children, which eventually made them all leave. It was on that day that Hiromi became Muzan's first and only friend. She would slowly bring the outside world to Muzan, giving him a taste of how beautiful life is.

Over the years, the two of them developed romantic feelings for each other. Tatsuo, upon learning this, wanted to marry Hiromi knowing that it would break Muzan even further and he planned to destroy Hiromi's spirit by isolating her from those who support her. Despite that, Hiromi never fell for Tatsuo or his advances.

One day, Hiromi showed Muzan a spell that she managed to learn unaware that someone was listening. That night, Hiromi was invited to have tea with another noblewoman around her age. Sadly, the tea Hiromi drank was spiked with a deadly poison. As it turned out the noblewoman who invited her was the one who eavesdropped on her earlier conversation with Muzan and concluded that Hiromi used a love spell on Tatsuo in order to marry him. So she decided to get rid of Hiromi by killing her and then exposing her family for using witchcraft to gain their status.

When Hiromi opened her eyes, instead of being in the afterlife, she was in the presence of multiple kami, the very kami who blessed her when she was in her mother's womb. Inari explained that because of her family's involvement with the kami and Hiromi's unwavering pure soul, she was granted a choice. Join her ancestors in the afterlife and be close with the kami or return to Earth and have a second chance at life. Hiromi, not ready to join her ancestors just yet, chose the second option.

The kami decided that Hiromi deserved a reward for the decisions she's made in life, and with that, they blessed her into becoming the first Angel on Earth, complete with abilities that would help her in the future.

OVERALL ABILITIES: As the Angel Queen, the first and the progenitor of her kind, Hiromi is the strongest angel in existence.

In her early years, Hiromi was displayed as an intelligent child, able to pass her lessons with ease and solve some of the kingdom's problems as well. She could also sing and play the hichiriki, shinobue, and konghou. Hiromi, though never truly developed any fighting skills growing up, is a rather fast learner according to her and her brother's teachers.

♡ ENHANCED FLEXIBILITY: Hiromi has been noted to possess an extremely flexible body, allowing her to achieve a wide range of motion. She incorporates her flexibility whenever she's battling or even training.

♡ GENIUS INTELLECT: Having lived for over a millennia and gained further experience from the telepathic link with the kami she's in contact with, Hiromi is very intelligent. She was also shown to possess great intellect in battle. Due to assisting Muzan for over millennia and being from a noble family, Hiromi is very skilled in multiple fields of science, foreign languages, and calligraphy.

♡ NIGH-ABSOLOTE REGENERATION: As the Angel/Yokai Queen, Hiromi possesses the fastest and most advanced regeneration out of all angels and yokai, recovering so fast that it seemed like the attacks phased through him and she was never injured in the first place.

♡ BLESSED BLOOD: Hiromi's blood develops special mutagenic properties that can transform humans into either angels or yokai. Much like Muzan, her blood can give those who are given her blood various special abilities that depend on what they become.

♡ ANGEL & YOKAI MANIPULATION: Hiromi can control angels and yokai to a certain extent, much like her husband Muzan, as she can control only those whom she created herself and are under her, such as Koyuki and formerly Tamayo. Yokai and angels can wrestle for control back from her but often don't unless they are worried that Hiromi's in danger of being exposed.

♡ ANGELIC WINGS: As an angel, Hiromi can manifest a pair of white feathered wings. She can hide her wings from the public without difficulty. When hidden, two angel wing tattoos appear on her back.

♡♡ FLIGHT: With her angel wings, Hiromi can fly very high heights. She mainly uses her ability to fly to find something or someone, or even to get some fresh air.

♡ HEALING: Like all angels, Hiromi can heal herself and other people. But Hiromi's healing powers are much greater as she can heal people who are near death's doors and those with life-threatening wounds and injuries.

♡ IMMEASURABLE SPEED AND REFLEXES: Hiromi is tremendously fast, possessing movement speed and reflexes that surpass the Four Upper Ranks of the Eight Cardinal Disciples. Her immense speed was first displayed when she escaped being captured by her ex-fiance and left her hometown with Muzan.

♡ UNLIMITED STAMINA AND ENDURANCE: Like all angels, Hiromi possesses infinite stamina and endurance, never getting tired or feeling any pain. She could go battling and evading enemies for long hours, so long she is well-rested and healed completely. She can also tolerate an immeasurable amount of pain from any kind of attack from anyone.

♡ KYUDO PROFICIENCY: Another weapon that Hiromi is very skilled in is the art of kyudo. According to her teachers, she is extremely elegant when it comes to her form and has the potential to become an archery master should she continue her training and practice.

♡ DIVINE INFUSION: Hiromi's first Divine Angel Art grants her the ability to infuse divine power into objects, people, or even other powers. Although all angels have the innate ability to infuse divine power into whatever they wish, Hiromi takes it to a whole other level, given that she was the first ever Angel and was directly blessed by the kami.

♡ ANGELIC FORCE MANIPULATION: Hiromi's second Divine Angel Art allows her to use angelic power. This includes strength, abilities, and control over various angelic energies that all surpass the angels that came after her.
