Seto's POV

I feel Keeley's body go limp in my arms as I keep running down the long, empty road. She must have gone unconscious, I think as I slowly run out of strength and energy. This is the street that led to The Pack's house, if I remember correctly. I continue running, but I feel myself get more and more tired and worn out. I'm not weak, but I'm not the strongest, so this was quickly wearing me out. My speed potion just ran out, so I decide this is a good time to find somewhere to stop.

This road is somewhat close to my house, but not really at the same time. It's 23 miles away from my house, and that's just the beginning of the road; God knows how long the street itself is. I haven't  seen the playground that Kenny was staying at yet, and  I don't see it in the distance either. I see our invisibility potions have ran out as well, so I walk to a curb and carefully lay Keeley down, resting her head on my lap as I sit down. I dig through my backpack to see if there are any potions that could help either of us get to our destination quicker or easier. I pull out a strength potion and set it to the side, thinking it may help me carry her with less of a struggle. I set aside two more invisibility potions and one more speed potion.

After a few minutes of sitting and thinking, I decide it's best to get back on the road. I drink my strength, speed, and invisibility potions, and feed Keeley an invisibility potion. I lift her back up, bridal style again, and begin running down the street. It was much easier to carry her now, and I had drunk an upgraded speed potion, so I was running four times as fast as the average human. I ran for about ten minutes before all the potion effects wore off, but it didn't matter because in the very far distance, I could see a small, extremely out of place playground. I was tired and my muscles were burning, but I was so close I just couldn't give up. Keeley was still unconscious, so I was still carrying dead wait. I found one last speed potion in the now empty bag, drank it, and was on my way.

I ran past the rusted, broken down playground, and the street started to go slightly up hill. I sprinted up the road and saw a lonely house with lots of land in the reach. My last swiftness potion had run out, but I didn't stop running. I'm surprised my legs even still worked after all this. I made it up to the door, knocked a few times, and collapsed on my knees. My throat and mouth were dry and my arms were shaking from the weight of Keeley. Please answer the door.

Abella's Pov

As soon as the TV went to commercials, there was a knock on the door, as well as the sound of an alarm. "Pizza must be done! I'll take it out of the oven. Abella, can you answer the door?" Paige asked while she made her way to the kitchen as I get up to answer the door. I make my way to the door, taking my time, as I think about what has happened in the last month.

I had had a "love at first sight" crush on Preston, and he had one on me too, at the time, but when I saw Kenny, my heart melted. It turned out that Preston already liked someone else too, and ever since we told each other our secret crushes, we became extremely close friends, not hiding anything from each other. Almost like a brother-sister relationship. Mitch and Jerome had been having a secret relationship for the past three months and just told us this month that they were dating. Vik and Lachlan just came out of the closet about a week ago, and became a couple five days ago. Preston asked his crush, Paige, out three weeks ago, Rob asked Sokay, his crush, to be his girlfriend the same day as Preston, and Kenny asked me to be his yesterday. The girls, Kenny, and I all agreed to move in with the boys since we were so close, so we had our second, extra, out-of-place, "decorative" living room turned into two more rooms, one for me and Kenny to share, and the other as a guest bedroom. Sokay stays in Rob's room and Paige shares Preston's room.

I sighed at the pleasant memories as I approached the front door. I opened it to find a man, about twenty or so, holding a girl, maybe twelve, in his arms while kneeling on the floor. The girl, who had beautifully orange hair, was unconscious in his grasp.

"Please ask Rob to come take the girl and Paige and Soda-Kite to clean her up," the man breathed out. My jaw dropped as I heard this stranger's requests. How does he know or names? "Please, I can't hold her much longer. I am too sore and weak, Abella. If you would let us in I can explain everything to you, just please help us." He finished his sentence and began coughing. I nodded frantically and ran back into the house.

"Rob! Come here quickly! Hurry!" I yelled. He let go of Sokay and jumped up off the couch, sprinting towards the front door with me. He sees the man holding the girl and his jaw drops. The man's arms are shaking, and I think hes about to drop the girl. "Rob, take the girl out of his arms before he drops her!" I insist. He kneels down and gently and easily takes the girl from this guys arms. Once the girl is out of his arms, the man drops his arms to the ground to hold himself up. "Take the girl to the bathroom and have Sokay give her a bath. Get Paige to help her if she needs it," I tell him as he makes his way back to the living room. Rob nods, yells for Sokay and Paige, and they head to Praige's bedroom since it had the closest bathroom.

"Preston! Jerome! Come here quickly!" I shout again. I see Preston, followed by Jerome, run to the front door. "Help this guy up and take him to the living room. Sit him up and make Kenny get him some water. I don't want him to pass out." I watch as Preston goes on the right side of the man and Jerome goes to his left. They help him up, and he weakly walks with the boys back to the living room. I watch as Kenny runs to the kitchen and Rob comes out of Praige's room. I give him a rushed smile and run into the bedroom and into the bathroom. I see Paige and Sokay giving the young girl a bath. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, and the girls turn around and give me a sad smile.

"Rob left before we started, but she's really dirty, Abella. Her hair is knotted and her clothes were torn. I think she may have been homeless. Her foot is bent a weird way and she has a huge bruise on her side," Paige says while carefully rinsing shampoo out of the unconscious girl's hair. I nod sympathetically.

"I will run to my room to see if I still have those clothes that are too small for me." I jog out of the room and run towards the living room. I see the man sitting up on the floor between the other guys. He's sipping on a bottle of water, and had a bag of chips next to him. I smile and walk to the new part of the house that had Kenny and I's room. I walk into my closet and push past my clothes, taking out a box of clothes that were too small that I had planned on donating. I brought the box back to Praige's room. I set the box down, pick out some black leggings and a  pink shirt, and go into his bathroom to see Paige and Sokay drying the girl off. I help them get her in some clothes and lay her on Preston's bed. She looks kind of like Preston in a way. I shake the thought out of my head and sit on the bed next to her, along with the girls. What happened to these people? How does that man know so much about us? I shake my head again and gently rub the girl's forehead while Paige and Sokay hold her hands. I just hope these people are ok.
