In Indian culture, blessings are the key to success in anything be it a job interview, exams, results or marriage... If you touch elder's feet or take God's blessings, you won't face any difficulty in life. Debatable? Surely it is.

But anyways, it's people's choice what they want to believe in.

Well if we talk about marriage, arranged one is considered to be the perfect one in India. Unlike love marriages, the guests only have food as their topic to discuss not the details whether the bride and groom personally know each other. For stereotypic parents also, they want their child to have arranged marriage as it is their lineage.

Let's be frank love marriage is still not favored by many "Indian" parents for their children. Two lovers can only get married if they are arranged by their parents that is arranged love marriage. But what if they have an arranged marriage disguised in love? Love? Parents are like humare hote love? Mahayuddh. Ranted enough about marriage which had no connection with the story.
