(F/n)'s POV

As I was walking down towards my new room, I saw Eren walking down the hall. "Hey Eren." I greeted before I passed him. "Oh, hi (f/n). Captain said I have to redo my cleaning." He sighed.

"I can stay and help, if you want?" I asked. "No it's fine." He replied, "What happened to you? Your face is a bit red." Eren pointed out. I felt my cheeks and noticed they were a bit warm.

"Oh...n-nothing happened." I answered. "Well I'll see you at dinner!" I added, and walked to my room. 'I can NOT tell him what happened while he was gone.' I thought as I walked inside my room.

Eren, Petra, Gunther, Eld, Oluo, Levi, and I sat at a table in the mess hall drinking tea. I kept quiet while everyone else talked, I was still embarrassed from earlier.

"That's a truth, especially given how unique the situation is. Consider how many people died on the path to taking back wall Maria. Then hope comes in a form no one expected, one that we're not entirely sure how to deal with." I heard Eld say, looking at Eren.

I looked around the table, everyone was staring at Eren. "Most of us still find it hard to believe. So how does it work? This whole 'changing into a Titan trick', really?" Eld asked Eren.

"Wish I could tell you, but the fact is; my memory's not clear. Guess it's kind of like being in a trance. I do know the trigger seems to be hurting myself in some way, like biting my hand." Eren answered.

"You're not going to get anything out of him. Apart from what the scribblers have laid out in the reports. Not that you know who would have a go at it. You'd be lucky to come out of it alive if that one lays a hand on you. Course it's only a matter of time-" Levi got cut off.

"Who are you talking about?!" Eren asked, a little frightened. I gave him a look saying, 'calm down'.

*THUD*

"Ow!" We heard a female voice shout from behind the locked door. Petra got up and opened it, revealing a brunette with glasses.

"I'm so sorry, good evening team Levi! How is castle life treating everyone?" She greeted. "You're too early." Levi muttered. "Am I? Suppose I couldn't help myself!" She replied.

"Section commander, Hanji?" Eren asked. "Hello, Eren!" She smiled. I stopped listening when she started rambling on about experiments and what not.

"Let's get out of here." Petra whispered to me. I nodded and stood up to leave, "Sorry!" I whispered to Eren. After leaving the mess hall I walked back to my room to get ready for bed.

'Hope Eren doesn't stay up all night listening to Hanji.' I thought before falling asleep.

It was dark and it was sprinkling rain, a baby was asleep in someone's arms. That someone was running along a street. The person came to a stop, and walked slowly now.

The baby started to wake up a little. The person was a woman, she had a cloak on and her hood covered the top half of her face. All I could see was her (h/c) hair, the same color as mine.

She looked a little similar to me. She also had the same lips as mine. Her skin was a little darker than my skin, but that could be since it's dark out here.

She set the baby on the ground, 'Where was she taking her?' the mysterious woman crouched down next to the baby, and pulled something out of her pocket.

The woman put whatever was in her pocket in the baby's blanket. 'What is that?' I asked. The mother stood up again and knocked on the door in front of her. After that she said something to the baby, but I couldn't hear that well.

Something like, goodbye..? I think she said a name too, but I'm not sure. I noticed a very tiny grin on her face when she said that. One that was barely noticeable.

The mother looked at the infant one last time before running away. The baby started to cry a little. 'What's going on? Is that the baby's mother?' I thought. I looked closer at the baby.

She had the same (h/c) hair as that woman and me. The baby had a bright shining (e/c) eye. The blanket covered the left side of her face though, so I couldn't see the other half. 'If that's her baby, why would she leave her here?'

I guess I was transparent, like a spirit because no one noticed me. I tried to pull the blanket back a little so I could see what that thing was the woman put in there.

But I couldn't interact with objects. My hand went right through her. Kind of creepy actually. I heard footsteps nearing the door. I quickly looked up, and slowly walked away.

The door opened and I saw another woman there. I couldn't see her face either, this time everything was a blur. Everything started to fade to black and I didn't see anything but a blank space ahead of me.

I woke up from my slumber, it was morning now. All I could think about was my odd dream. 'Why would I dream of a mother and her child?' I got up from my bed and started the shower.

'Could it be important?' After my shower, I changed into uniform and put on my straps. Surprisingly, I didn't fail at the straps today like I usually would.

I made my way down to the mess hall and saw Eren still there with Hanji. Eren looked miserable and tired, with dark circles under his eyes. Hanji still looked energetic and not sleepy at all.

'Was he here all night? Poor kid.' "Section commander Hanji, come quickly! The test subjects..they're dead! Both of them killed!" A cadet shouted, bursting through the door.

'Test subjects..?' We all quickly ran outside, following the cadet. When we made it, we saw the skeletons of two Titan's with steam still rising from them.

"AHHHHHHH! SAWNEY! BEAN! HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?! SOMEONE TELL ME THIS ISN'T REAL! AHHH! SAWNEYYYYY! BEANNN!" Hanji cried, pulling on her hair almost ripping it out.

I walked up to her, "It's going to be ok Hanji." I spoke softly to her. "NO IT'S NOT! MY TITAN BABIES ARE DEAD!" She shouted. I patted her back, "Hanji, everything will be alright." I calmly replied.

She quickly tackled me in a hug, I kept my balance so I wouldn't fall over. "HOW DO YOU KNOW?!" She cried into my chest. 'I don't know...but I do know that it will turn out ok.' I didn't reply right away.

"Everything happens for a reason, did you know that?" I hesitated, asking in a quiet voice. "BUT THEY WEREN'T MEANT TO DIE!" She cried more.

Eren and I were outside when we saw the new recruits walking by us. I was able to join earlier like Eren, due to my skills. They said I was ready to join them instead of waiting a little longer like the others.

"So then Jean, Annie, and Marco went to the Military Police then?" Eren asked them. Eren and I both turned around and saw Jean. "Wait a sec, you joined too?" Eren asked.

"..Marco is dead." Jean replied. "He what? W-what are you saying? Marco's not dead, you were just kidding around! Right?" Eren asked. "I wish I could tell you he died nobly or heroically. Truth is, I don't even know how he went out. He died alone. There was no one there to see it happen." Jean answered.

"Marco's dead..?" Eren repeated. "Jean do you regret how you treated him? Think about it; before he died you were so rude to him." I asked. "Shut it, cyclops!" Jean shouted, and I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Listen up, Jeanicorn. I'm not letting you treat people like shit here. Is that clear?" I sneered, grabbing his shirt collar and pulled him down to my level. "I'm not going to fucking listen to you." He frowned.

I gripped his shirt tighter, ready to punch him in the face. "Alright rookies, form up! Your uniforms are here!" Section commander Ness shouted. I let go of Jean's collar, "And if I ever see you messing with someone, that will be the end of you. Understood?" I asked gritting my teeth together.

He rolled his eyes and walked away to get his uniform. 'That's what I thought, bitch.' I walked back inside to the mess hall for dinner.
