Chapter 48

Levi's POV

(F/n) and I were going to the mess hall for breakfast and to also tell everyone about the unexpected news. I noticed (f/n) was a little uneasy as we were walking.

"Is something bothering you?" I asked without looking at her. "No..it's nothing." She mumbled. 'I can tell she's lying.' I sighed, "Come on, I know it's something."

"It's not important." She muttered. "It must be if it has you acting like this." I replied, looking over at her now. I heard her whisper something but it came out too quiet that I didn't catch what she said.

"Tch. I can't hear you."

(F/n)'s POV

"Levi, I wish I could tell you..but I can't." I whispered. "Tch. I can't hear you hear." Levi spoke. 'You weren't supposed to.' "Forget it." I muttered. "How do you think commander Erwin will react?" I quietly asked.

"Shit...I didn't think about that. Don't worry about it." Levi sighed. We got to the mess hall doors and Levi, being a gentleman, opened it for me.

"Alright, listen up brats." Levi called out when we entered. Everyone stiffened at the sound of his voice and they turned to face us. "Cadet (f/n) (l/n) will be temporarily leaving the scouts."

"What?! Why?!" The whole mess hall shouted. "Calm down. I'll tell you all if you would shut the f-" I slapped a hand over Levi's mouth before he could curse.

"Levi! Not in front of the baby!" I whispered. "Tch. Sorry." He muttered. "The reason being, is because we just found out this morning that there's a bun in the oven." A faint smirk was placed on Levi's lips.

"A BUN IN THE OVEN?! WHERE?!" I heard Sahsa squeal. "A bun in the-what?" I heard Armin repeat, confused. Eren leaned over to him and whispered something, making Armin's eyes widened.

"WHAT?!" He screamed, covering his mouth afterwards. "WHOOOO!" Hanji cheered from the back of the mess hall, clapping. "Congratulations!" We heard the cadets shout.

"I'll go tell Erwin." Levi sighed. "You don't want me to come?" I furrowed my eyebrows. "No, I don't want you getting hurt. I can tell him myself." He replied. I simply nodded, watching him leave the mess hall.

As Levi left, a few of the female cadets came up to me and started bubbling with excitement. Even Mikasa showed a smile.

I was in my bathroom, with the bottom half of my shirt rolled up, as I stared at my stomach in the mirror. 'Will my offspring have my shielding ability?' I sighed as I gingerly rubbed my stomach.

I heard someone walk into my room. I looked up a little more in the mirror and saw Levi walking up to me, wrapping his arms around my waist.

My eye widened as I noticed a bruise on Levi's jaw. "Levi..what happened?" I asked a bit concerned. "Let's just say he wasn't too pleased with the news." He sighed.

"So he punched you?!" I pulled away from his embrace. I turned on the cold water in the sink and dampened a small wash cloth under the water. "(F/n) it's nothing to worry about." He replied when I dabbed the cloth on his jaw.

He took the cloth from my hand, placing it back down on the counter. He then pulled me out to my room, and told me lie down on my bed. I followed his request and lied down on my bed as he did the same.

Levi lied his head down near my stomach as he pulled up my shirt a bit. He stared my baby bump-less belly in amusement, softly rubbing it with his hand.

'Why can't it always be like this? Having us perfectly healthy and not me awaiting death to come at almost any moment now.'

"Did you not hear me?" I heard Levi ask. "What? Sorry, I was thinking." I quickly responded. "I said, I want you to move to my room so I can protect you two easier."

"Ok." I replied. "Oh, and Erwin's working me extra harder now since you won't be with us for awhile." Levi rolled his eyes. I frowned, holding his hand in mine.

A few minutes of silence passed. I let a small giggle escape my lips as I reminisced the time in the mess hall when Levi split his pants.

"What are you giggling about?" Levi asked, raising an eyebrow. "About you, pants splitter!" I chuckled some more. "We don't speak of that." He muttered, blushing.

"But you made me happy when you did that!" I whined. "You think that's funny, voice cracker?" He smirked. 'Oh God..I forgot all about that!' "Shut up." I mumbled playfully.

"Do you think the baby will get an embarrassing nickname?" Levi asked. 'How about wrong timer?' "Knowing how we act, probably." I replied.

"I swear to God if it's a boy and he looks exactly like you, the scouts will all die." I chuckled. "Why's that?" He asked. "We'd have another humanity's strongest maybe, and another clean freak!" I replied.

"And if it's a girl, she'll be just like you. Strong hearted, brave, smart, and beautiful." I blushed at Levi's comment. A few minutes passed in silence, "I better get back to my office and finish the mountains of paperwork Erwin assigned me." Levi sighed, getting up.

"Aw, do you to go?" I pouted. "I'll be back later." He pecked my lips before pecking my stomach, making me grin. "Fine." I mumbled, watching him leave my room.

"Well what should we do, little one?" I asked, getting up from my bed. 'Might as well clean my room.' I put my hair up in a high ponytail, (if it's long enough.) then taking off my scouts jacket.

I walked down the hallway to the cleaning supplies closet to grab a few things. While I getting some things, I felt someone's presence behind me. Turning around slowly, I saw Quinn.

"What do you want?" I glared at her, not wanting to turn my back on her. "I don't want any trouble, I just wanted to say congratulations." She grinned.

"Ok, Thanks?" I replied. I turned around again to get the other things I needed when I heard her walk away. After getting the supplies needed, I went back to my room.

"You know, as soon as you can walk, your father is going to teach you how to clean." I chuckled, looking down at my stomach. I started dusting while softly humming a tune.

I finished cleaning awhile ago so right now I was just sitting on my bed, bored as hell. Then there was a knock on my door. I jumped off my bed, going to answer the door.

Jean and Eren were there. Honestly I didn't feel like talking to either of them. I was still a bit creeped out of Eren, even though he didn't actually do that to me. But still. Jean on the other hand, or hoof, well he's annoying as heck.

"Can I help you two?" I asked, crossing my arms. "Jean told me he finally wants to make peace with you!" Eren exclaimed. "Oh really?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah." Jean sighed. "Then what do you have to say?" I asked, suddenly intrigued. "Sorry about calling you Cyclops and just being plain rude." He mumbled.

"Thank you, horsie. I'm sorry too." I grinned. "Friends?" I added. "Friends." Jean replied. I held out a hand and he took it, shaking it. "Now this has nothing to do with the fact of me being pregnant, right?"

"No." He bluntly stated. "Good." I grinned again. They both left and as they were walking away I heard Eren say, "See, now that wasn't so hard was it?" "You were right." I heard Jean reply.

I went over to my dresser and started taking out my clothes since Levi wanted me to stay with him in his room now. After I finished packing, I picked up my bag and headed towards Levi's office.

I didn't knock, but went right in and saw Levi just finishing up with his paperwork. "You packed by yourself? You could have gotten me to help you." "No, it's fine. I don't have that much stuff anyways." I replied, setting my bag down on the ground.

*7 months later*

I woke up in the middle of the night again for the third time this week. The baby kept kicking and I couldn't sleep at all. I looked up at the wall clock, squinting since it was dark in here.

'2:33 in the morning? Ugh, why won't you let me sleep?!' I quietly sighed and slowly turned on my side since it was a little difficult to move now.

As I turned over I saw Levi's eyes flutter open. "Sorry I woke you." I whispered to him. "You didn't wake me, it's fine. Baby not letting you sleep?" He asked.

I nodded, looking down at my now large belly. "Listen squirt, you better let your mom get some rest. She's been carrying you for over seven months now and she's tired." Levi said sternly, rubbing my stomach.

There were a few kicks coming from the baby and a small grin on Levi's lips as this happened. "I think the baby will be a great kicker like you. Just like how you did to Eren in court." I giggled.

"I don't doubt it." He replied, quietly chuckling. "Levi, it's not working." I pouted, earning a few more kicks. Levi sighed, and started to quietly hum. Then the kicking started to calm down.

After awhile, the baby completely stopped and I was finally able to sleep again. "Thank you." I whispered, pecking Levi's lips before falling back asleep. "Goodnight." I heard him whisper back, kissing my forehead.

So this is going to be the last chapter before the endings.

I'm doing two, a happy and sad ending because I was originally going to just do the sad one but felt like I wouldn't be happy with just a sad one.

And you and Jean finally made peace! YAY, HORSE-FACE!

❤️Peace❤️
