Chapter 26

*Six days later, News Years Eve*

(F/n)'s POV

"Hanji do we really need all of that alcohol? We're going to get in trouble for that." I asked Hanji, as she walked in with two crates of alcohol.

"Well we have a lot of scouts!" She exclaimed, setting them down on a table in the mess hall. I playfully rolled my eye.

"Hey, how much longer till midnight?" Hanji asked. "Umm...." I took out my pocket watch, "About two hours." I answered, putting the watch away.

She nodded, leaving the mess hall and I followed so I could go to my room. When I got back, I sat on my bed and brushed through my (h/l) hair.

I decided I would do a different hairstyle for tonight, 'Hmm...maybe a fishtail braid?' (If your hair is long enough)

After brushing it, I started braiding it. (Again, if it's long enough to braid)

Flashback

3rd person POV

"Maybe when you're older and have a daughter of your own, you can braid her hair." Her mother smiled, braiding (f/n)'s hair by her bedroom window.

"But...how will I have a daughter?" An eight year old (f/n) asked. "Well..after you get married, one night God will bless you by gifting you a baby which will soon be born from the mother."

She explained the simplest way possible. "Oh. But who will I marry?" (F/n) furrowed her brows, thinking. "Someone very special that loves you. I bet you'll meet him when you're eighteen."

She giggled, finishing off the braid with an elastic band. "Really? What will his name be?" (F/n) asked, intrigued. "I don't know that, but let's make a random guess. I bet it will start with an 'L'." Her mother chuckled.

"When can you get married?" (F/n) was very curious on how this whole 'marriage' and 'having kids' thing worked. "Usually around the age of eighteen." She answered, standing up from the floor they were sitting on.

(F/n) nodded, going over to her window and looking out at the dark night sky. "When did you get married, mommy?" She asked, turning around to look at her mother.

"I was seventeen." Her mother answered, making the little girl's eye widen. "Whoa! That young, how?" She tilted her head to the side.

"If you get special permission from the government, it's legal to marry that young." "Wow. Say, how old were you when you had me?" Her mother's breath hitched at the question.

She didn't know how to answer since she technically didn't 'have' (f/n). "Uh..erm, I was twenty seven." She hesitated. "I think that's enough questions for now, time for bed." She added.

The girl nodded, climbing into bed. "Just remember to marry someone who reminds you of your father." Her mother kissed her forehead, walking over to the door.

"Goodnight, I love you." She smiled, blowing a kiss to her and walking out, shutting the door behind her. 'Why do I have to marry someone who reminds me of daddy?' She thought to herself before falling asleep.

End of Flashback

I realized I was done braiding my hair after the little flashback. I gasped once I noticed how accurate my mother's random guesses were for my future.

'I met Levi, and I'm eighteen. She said she guesses his name will start with an 'L','L' for Levi..?AND he does remind me of my father a bit.'

My eye widened. I was sitting on the edge of my bed with my legs dangling over the side, as I leaned forward a little.

'Levi speaks what's on his mind, and so did my father. Levi isn't very open with expressing his emotions, my father expressed his emotions except for sadness. Levi especially NEVER shows sadness.'

My mother wanted me to marry someone who reminded me of my father..and the man who I fell for filled the job just right!

'Should I tell Levi about this? Nah, it's just a silly coincidence.' I sat up, rubbing my temples thinking about all this crazy stuff.

"Is Levi really the one that I'm going to marry?"

Levi's POV

I was in my office when I had a sudden memory taking over my thoughts.

Levi's Flashback

"Do you want to get married?" Isabel asked me. "Tch, why would I? I may only be twelve now but I'm not planning on making such a commitment." I rolled my eyes.

"I was just asking, big bro! Come on and lighten up a little." She chuckled. "Besides...I don't think anyone would love me enough to want to..m-marry me." I muttered under my breath.

"Levi! Of course someone would! I mean, I love you-er...well..not in that way obviously...only like a brother! Why else would I call you 'big bro'?" Isabel nervously laughed at the end.

"Shut up, would you?" I sneered, walking up the stairs of the abandoned house we stayed in. "Why does Isabel need to shut up?" Farlan asked, opening the door for us since he stayed here while we went to steal some food from the market.

"Oh, hey Farlan! I was just-" "She was giving me a lecture over marriage." I cut her off. "You're making your wedding plans with Isabel already? She's only ten, Levi!" Farlan chuckled.

"And I didn't hear you propose." He added, moving aside for us. "The hell? I didn't propose or I didn't mean I was going to marry Isabel or anyone else!" I shouted, sitting down at the table.

"He's in a bit of a mood since he thinks no girl will ever love him." I heard Isabel whisper to Farlan. "I HEARD THAT!" I shouted again, getting up from my chair and smacking my hand on the table.

"Oh dear...I would run if I were you.." Farlan mumbled and Isabel only laughed. "I can see her now, beautiful (h/l) (h/c) hair and a bright smile whenever she sees you!"

"You'll meet her when you're twenty and marry at..well I don't know when..but anyways! I bet her name will start with a(n) (f/n/i)!" (First name initial)

"Stop!!!!!!" I shouted, annoyed with all of this nonsense. "NEVER!" She shouted back, laughing more.

End of Flashback

"Tch. I met (f/n) when I was twenty. And she does have (h/l) (h/c) hair. Not to mention, her name starts with a(n) (f/n/i) like Isabel said. I guess she was right." I heavily sighed, leaning back into my chair.

"Is (f/n) really the one that I'm going to marry?" I asked myself.

Hanji's POV (Oh shiet)

I was skipping down the halls of HQ, passing Levi's office when I heard him say something.

"Is (f/n) really the one that I'm going to marry?"

'Wait...is he....no he couldn't be! But what if he is....is he really going to propose?!?!'

I sprinted back to my office and had my little 'fangirling' moment to myself before running to Erwin's office to spread the word.

"OH ERWIN!~" I exclaimed in a sing song voice, repeatedly knocking on his door. "What is it, Hanji?" I heard him sigh from the other side.

"LET ME IN! I HAVE GOOD NEWS!" He opened the door with a bored expression on his face. "Does this have anything to do with Titans?" He asked.

"Nope! Even better!" Wow..I just said that this was better than Titans..?

He moved aside, allowing me into his office where I skipped over to a chair in front of his desk.

He sat back down at his desk chair, leaning back. "So what is it?" He raised an eyebrow.

'He's able to lift those things? Amazing!'

"I over heard Levi in his office." I smiled devilishly. "Oh boy, what did you hear?" I evilly giggled before answering,

"Levi..h-he's...GOING TO PROPSE!" I bursted with excitement, jumping out of my seat and bouncing up and down.

"What..?" His eyes widened, propping his elbows on his desk and resting his chin on his knuckles. "You heard me right, Mr. and Mrs. Ackerman! Mr. and Mrs. Ackerman!" I chanted.

"Well..that's interesting...what did he say exactly that you heard?"

"No time for that, we have to go congratulate him!" I exclaimed, running out of his office and to the mess hall.
