Chapter 18: Happy Holidays

Ah, nothing like a good dream in the middle of a peaceful sleep.

There's also nothing like having your boyfriend waking you up from that.

"Alex! Alex!" Thomas yelled, shaking Alex by the shoulders.

Pissed off, Alex opened his eyes and scowled at his seemingly excited boyfriend. "What?"

Thomas looked a bit annoyed. "Get off your ass, Alex! It's Christmas!"

   Alex groaned. "That's right...damn."

"What's so bad about Christmas?" Thomas asked with an adorable frown.

"What's so bad is that stupid children wake the adults up at..," Alex paused to look at the alarm clock next to his bed, "FUCKING 4:45?!"

Thomas giggled. "Yep! I wanna get the Christmas rituals started as soon as humanly possible!" He then realized that Alex had called him a stupid child. "Wait...hey!"

Alex smirked deviously and sat up with a sigh. "Well, since I'm already up, I guess we can start opening presents now."

"Yay!" Thomas said, a smile appearing on his face. He grabbed Alex's hand and dragged him into the dorm's living room, where their cute Christmas tree was set up. It was medium-sized, had rainbow lights speckled on it, had tinself wrapped around its artificial branches, and had lots of carefully wrapped presents underneath it. There was about 24 presents under there: ten to Alex from Thomas, ten to Thomas from Alex, and one from them both for each of their four friends, which were Herc, Laf, John, and, of course, James.

Thomas plopped them two down right in front of the tree, his eyes sparkling with excitement. He immediately picked up a gift that was addressed to Alex and yeeted it at him, picking up a present that was addressed to himself also.

Alex rolled his eyes. "I don't think I've ever seen you this excited. Which is saying something."

Thomas was already hungrily tearing through the wrapping paper that wrapped around his gift. "Of course I'm excited! It's Christmas, Lexi!"

The nickname made Alex smile. He couldn't help it. "Fine. I guess it is pretty exciting." And with that, he began to tear through his paper also.

Thomas gasped as his gift was revealed. He held it up, and, inside a box, was a Pop! figure of Dean from "Oh. My. God." Thomas hugged the box close to his chest, legit tears in his eyes.

Alex giggled. "I thought you'd like that." He finished unwrapping his own gift, and also gasped when he saw it.

It was a collection of pens and pencils, all neatly displayed in a box. "I love it..!" Alex squeaked. He couldn't wait to break those utensils in.

Thomas chuckled and threw his wrapping paper at Alex. "You're welcome."

Alex pouted and threw the wrapping paper back at Thomas. "I never even said thank you."

"You should have! That was the best gift anyone could've gotten for you!" Thomas said, crossing his arms.

Alex raised an eyebrow. "Don't get cocky, mister," he said, grabbing the next gift that was addressed to him. He opened it and gasped.

...It was just what he wanted.

   A Sam plush.

Like the Dean one that Thomas had.

Alex slowly looked over at Thomas, causing Thomas to smirk. "Ya like it?" the floofy fellow asked.

Alex didn't answer. He simply flew into Thomas' arms, kissing him lovingly.

Thomas let out a small chuckle into the kiss as he kissed Alex back.

Alex was the first to pull apart. And when he did, he whispered, "Thank you."

"You're welcome," Thomas said with a small smirk.

All the gifts addressed to both Alex and Thomas had been opened, and wrapping paper was strewn everywhere. The only gifts left to give were the ones for the Hamilsquad and James.

Thomas checked his phone and sighed, irritated. "They're supposed to be here by now! How many times have I told you to tell your friends to be on time, for once?"

Alex scoffed. "Don't pin this on me. James is late, too."

Thomas opened his mouth to retort, but growled when nothing came out.

Alex smirled with satisfaction, playfully ruffling Thomas' hair.

That's when someone knocked on the door.

Alex looked over at the door and stood up, walking over to it. "Who is it?" Alex called, using his trademark grandma voice.

Alex and Thomas heard giggles erupt from the other side of the door. "Uh..," the French voice of Laf said, "the FBI! We're hear to search your house for Coca Cola!"

The deep voice of Herc cut in, laughing. "Laf...I think you mean cocaine?"

There was silence on the other side of the door for a while. Then, "Oui! We're here to search your house for codaine!"

   "Cocaine!" Herc repeated, giggling.

"Cocaine!" Laf said, finally getting it right. "We're here to search your house for cocaine!"

"That sounds lovely!" Alex said, still using his grandma voice. He opened the door, loving his friends so much. "Please come in!"

The Hamilsquad and James came running inside, (the Hamilsquad became friends with James also,) and sat down on the ground. "So, where's our presents?" John asked excitedly, getting straight to the point.

Alex grabbed John's present and yeeted it to him, doing the same with everyone else's, the Hamilsquad and James doing the same.

After everyone exchanged gifts, the floor was an even bigger mess. And, thanks to the weird people sitting on it, it was even trashier.

"Who wants egg nog?" Thomas asked, standing up and wiping stray wrapping paper from his hair from the wrapping paper fight they all had a few minutes prior.

"Me!" everyone cried, shooting their hands up. (Well, Laf said "moi," but it's basically the same thing.)

Thomas chuckled and walked into the kitchen, getting out six Christmas-themed cups, pouring the thick, yellow-ish liquid into them.

That's when Alex came into the kitchen, hugging Thomas from behind.

Thomas chuckled and set the carton of egg nog down, hugging Alex back. "Hey, hon. Why aren't you with your friends?"

Alex shrugged, pulling apart. "Eh." Suddenly, a smirk spread across his face. "You're way more interesting to look at~"

Thomas rolled his eyes and ruffled Alex's hair, putting the carton that was previously mentioned back into the fridge.

Alex giggled, leaning against the counter. "Hey, thanks for putting up with my friends."

Thomas turned around, an eyebrow raised. "What do you mean?"

"Well," Alex said, "I know they're not your favorite people in the world."

Thomas chuckled. "That may be true, but I'm getting used to them."

Alex smiled. "They're getting used to you too. John just told me that he's starting to like you and that you've changed."

It pained Thomas to think of what he was like back in high school, so he liked to think he changed. "Well, I hope I have. I was a real ass in high school."

"You were," Alex said with a chuckle.

Thomas rolled his eyes, kissing the top of Alex's head. "Merry Christmas, baby."

"Merry Christmas, Tommy," Alex responded with a smile.

I hope you all have a merry Christmas! (Or Hannukah. Or Quanza. Or a normal day.)

BOOOOOOIIIII.
