Chapter Two. Lunch Can Be Enlightening.
I'm just telling yah, don't expect as long chapters as the first one. (I'm trying to keep most of the chapters over 1000 words)
-Sam-
It's first at lunch that I see Dean again. I wave at him to come sit with me.
"Hi Dean. Aren't you going to eat something?" He looks at the food on my plate with disgust.
"No. That is not real food." I shrug and take a spoonful of... Whatever it is I'm eating.
"It tastes better than it looks." He just shakes his head and take a sip of his glas of water.
"So how has school been today Sammy?"
"Don't call me Sammy, I'm ten, not five." He smirks at me. "And school has been fine. There's a new kid in my class, his name is Gabriel. He's been following me around all day, which is annoying, but he is funny too." As if he heard me say his name he turns up next to me and sits down on my other side with his plate with food.
"Hiya Samsquatch." I roll my eyes as he puts an arm around my shoulders.
"Dean, meet Gabriel. New kid." Gabriel smiles and Dean lets out a muffled 'hi'.
"What about you, met your soulmate yet." I say jokingly and he chuckles.
"Actually, yes." I stare at him and Gabriel does too.
"What? Oh my god, who is he? Tell me!" I yell and that earns us some strange looks from kids at other tables.
"Quiet down!" He hisses. "And it's the new guy in my class. Castiel. But I haven't told him so shut up about it will you." Gabriel snickers.
"And what are you giggling about?" Dean asks Gabriel suspiciously.
"Blue eyes, black hair, wearing a too big trenchcoat?" He says, grinning from ear to ear.
"How do you know?"
"Your soulmate is my brother." Gabriel laughs and Dean shushes him.
"Not a word, Gabriel. Or I will make sure you'll never see Sam again." I roll my eyes at that. A couple of minutes later that guy Castiel turns up and of course Gabriel makes sure he sits with us. Then he drags me with him to leave them alone. To get rid of the annoying kid I tell him I'm going to the bathroom and I run away. I wait in there for a minute then I open the door. Of course Gabriel is standing outside waiting for me.
"There's no getting rid of you, are there Gabe?" I sigh and he laughs.
"Nope. So what are you doing after school Sammy?" I internally groan. Apparently he picked up on when Dean called me Sammy.
"Nothing I can think of, Gabe." If he's calling me Sammy I'm calling him Gabe. The only problem is that he actually seem to like his nickname.
-Dean-
I have come to the conclusion that I don't like Sam's new friend. I feel so awkward in front of Castiel. But after a while of talking we really start to hit it of. He's actually a really nice person. He even listens to some of the same music as I do.
"So Castiel, do you have any other brothers than that annoying short one?" What, you can't blame me for trying to get to know my soulmate. He laughs.
"Yeah, I have an older brother, Lucifer, but he moved out when I was eight. And you're right, Gabe is a handful. He's always pranking me and bothering me while I'm doing my homework." I laugh at that.
"Hey Dean you texted me that you had something important to tell me?" Charlie says excitedly and seats herself.
"Could we take that later?" She looks at me and says in a weird accent;
"Dean Winchester, I am your best friend, tell me now." I laugh at her. "But seriously, you know I love secrets." She continues in her normal voice.
"Okay okay. If you promise to not go all crazy over it. Promise." She nods and grins. I glance at Castiel who has stopped eating and is now looking at something on his phone. I whisper it to her and as I thought she goes all fangirl over it. I put a hand over her mouth to stop her from squealing or say something about how she has gotten a new OTP.
"Quiet." I give her a look. She smirks. After that she quickly eats and runs away to find a book she has wanted for, according to her, 'an eternity'.
