Chapter Eleven. A Weekend With Samoose.

-Two Months Later-

-Sam-

"Hey Sam, what if we could sleep in the treehouse this weekend?" Gabriel proposes in the middle of a Sherlock episode. I pause the tv and look over at him as he is sitting on the other side of my bed.

"That would be really fun but our parents can't know about it so how are we going to pull it off?" I say, half sceptical because the treehouse needs to remain a secret and we can't just not tell our parents where we are going and disappear for a weekend. I would never be allowed to leave my home again.

"Well my mom is on a business trip with work and my father has gone to take care of his sister who has broken her leg and needed some help so my parents aren't a problem since I am going to be the only one at home anyways. And you could tell your parents that you are sleeping at my place." Gabe says and I think over the idea for a minute.

It would be great fun to have a whole weekend alone with Gabriel in our treehouse. We could stay up late at night and play board games and during the day we could continue to clean the place up and finish painting the little hallway with the three doors because two weeks ago we started to paint it in a nice kind of bright purple color.

"Okay. But if my mom or dad finds out you'll have to be prepared to never be able to meet me again."

"It's a deal." He grins holding out his hand. I shake it.

"So we will have to bring food so we have something to eat to breakfast, lunch and dinner. And we need more candles as it gets pretty dark at night and we will want to be able to see. We had three flashlights there last time I checked but one of them might need new batteries..." Gabriel takes a paper and a pen from my desk and makes a list of the things we will need.

"Okay Gabriel, you make a list of things we will need such as blankets, batteries and candles and I will make a list of the food we will need." I say while grabbing a paper and pen that I can use.

"Don't forget to write candy on the shopping list." Gabriel says in a serious voice.

"Of course not, who do you think I am? Someone that doesn't know about your addiction to sweets?" I say mockingly and he glances at me.

"What addiction, I am in complete control." He says and I snort, earning me another glance.

On my list I have so far:

Friday
Midnight snacks: chips

Saturday
Breakfast: sandwiches
Lunch:
Dinner:

Midnight snacks: candy
Sunday
Breakfast: sandwiches
Lunch:

To drink to every meal: soda

"Hey we could eat sandwiches to every meal, right? If not you have to help me come up with foods that we can eat without cooking it and that survives without being in a refrigerator or a freezer." Sam says, as the author can't come up with any other foods that could work.

"Yeah sure, why not. Bread is much more delicious than what people pretend that it is. But we will have to make the sandwiches before leaving because I don't know how we are supposed to bring butter without it melting." Gabe replies.

*author is angry at Wattpad as she is trying to past the list from before because she is a lazy fuck and doesn't want to have to write it all over but Wattpad is picking a fight with the author by freezing every time the author tries to paste so the author will have to write it all again...sigh*

I add 'Sandwiches' to every meal and my list now looks like this:

Friday
Midnight snacks: chips

Saturday
Breakfast: sandwiches
Lunch: sandwiches
Dinner: sandwiches

Sunday
Breakfast: sandwiches
Lunch: sandwiches

To drink to every meal: soda

I take a look on Gabriel's list of things we will need and so far he has got

Candles
Blankets
Batteries
Toilet paper for when we need to go in the forests (there ain't a bathroom there ya know)
More of the bright purple paint
Extra candy
Clothes for two days

"Don't forget toothbrushes and toothpaste." I add in. Gabriel nodds and writes 'toothbrushes + toothpaste' on his list.

"Well we have two days until Friday and then some time to prepare after school on Friday so we should have enough time to fix everything we need." I say while folding the papers and putting them in my pocket. "We will take our savings and get some of the things tomorrow."

-Friday After School-

-Gabriel-

I can't tell you how excited I am for this weekend. We have everything we need and Sam's parents said that it was okay for him to sleep over at 'my place' so we are all good to go. I happened to have a bucket of the same color paint that we needed so it is packed in a backpack with four blankets, two pillows and some batteries that Sam got from his home.

We are just finished with all the sandwiches and are packing them in Sam's backpack together with 4 cans of soda. We bought our favorite, Sprite.

When we get to the treehouse I leave the blankets and pillows in the bed, we will solve the sleeping arrangements later. Sam is putting away our food in the closet with all our other things. Our plans for this weekend is to finish painting the bedroom and the little hallway and to play a lot of board games while eating snacks. Sounds like a good plan to me.

It's 8:05 pm when we have unpacked and we decide to open a bag of chips while playing a game of Loriken*.

When it starts to get a little dark I bring a couple of candles and lights them, they spread a pleasant glow over the room. At 8:58 pm the bag of chips is empty. We sit up and plays some board games while listening music on Spotify until maybe 1:23 pm and then we decide to go to bed.

"I'll sleep on the floor or something." I say while hiding a yawn.

"Gabe that's silly. It's a big bed we could easily both sleep in it." Sam says and lays down.

"Okay. I can put some pillows or something between us if you wanna."

Sam is lying with his face down the pillow and lets out a muffled "Why bother." And to be honest I'm to tired to bother so I just lay down and pull two blankets over myself, letting them protect me from the chilly air.

[Now author is too exhausted to continue writing even tho it is just 1 am so author says goodnight and will write more tomor- during the day if school doesn't steal all my motivation to do anything]
[Author is back and feels like writing on her fanfiction while eating schools disgusting lunch. Author would also like to apologize about all the little notes she writes in the middle of the stories]

When I wake up in the morning the other half of the bed is empty. I pick up one of the blankets from the bed and put it around me. Why does it always have to be so cold when you step out of your bed? It has bothered me for years. Why isn't my floor heated when my feet has to leave the warmth of my bed? These are important questions and I should talk to my parents about it.

I get the big bag of candy before going into the biggest room to find Sam reading one of the old books.

"Morning." I yawn while digging in the bag of candy.

"Gabe that candy's supposed to be our snacks tonight, not your breakfast." Sam says with a sigh and puts the book down on the table.

"I can't eat healthy all the time."

"No but maybe once or twice a month would be good." Sam taunts.

"Shut up." I throw the bag on the table and Sam takes a candy.

"So today I thought we could finish painting the little hallway and then start with the bedroom. We had these new paintbrushes so we won't have to use the old ones that we found here and in your garage."

"Sound like a good plan. I'm just going to finish my breakfast." I say with my mouth filled with skittles.

"We won't want to spill any paint on our clothes, do we have something that we could use as a sort of apron thing?" Sam says with concern. And he's right, our parents would have some questions if we came home with paint all over us. I get an idea and holds up a finger so Sam will stay here.

I grab one of these big black garbage bags, turns it upside down, cuts two holes, one in each corner and a bigger one in the bottom of the bag. I pull it over my head and put it on as a shirt before going back to Sam. I throw him his own bag and a pair of scissors. When he first sees me he almost falls of his chair from laughing and I cross my arms.

"Excuse me?" My only answer is another giggle.

"Shut up and put on your garbage bag. This is actually a very smart idea."

"What, I have to wear a garbage bag?"

"It will protect your clothes." Sam rolls his eyes.

"Fine." He laughs when looking down at himself dressed with a garbage bag. Without any warning I pick up my camera and snap a picture of him. He gasps.

"TrAiToR!¡!" He yells and I laugh. I will save this picture forever, if not just to annoy him. He follows me to the hallway and I give him a paintbrush.

"Okay, we paint two of the three walls in here today and if we have time tomorrow we paint the third wall and the ceiling in the bedroom." Sam orders.

*About 4 Hours Later (So Like 1 Am)*

When we finished the two walls Sam throws his brush to the floor, causing some drops of paint to splatter across my face.

"Hey!"

"Oops, sorry." Sam grins. I pout and try to remove the color. Sam then laughs at me and tells me I'm only making it worse. I sigh. When he comes closer to help me I wipe of my hand on his cheek and he jumps back.

"Damn you."

"It's just fair. Now let us eat something, I'm starving." I say and Sam nods.

"I understand that, you barely ate any breakfast."

After we ate lunch we took a break from painting and played the Doctor Who edition of Monopoly. Sam won. Twice. After that we play card games for a while until Sam got bored and started to build a house out of the cards in the middle of a game. He was surprisingly good at it.

"Where did you learn to do that?" I ask curiously. He keeps his eyes on the card house.

"Since I was six I have tried to beat my brother at building a card house. So far Dean is still in the lead with only five levels of cards."

"Wow..." I sit in silence and watch him build with a concentrated look in his eyes for a while.

*Loriken is a card game. You have probably played it but u probably use another name for it as my family is like the only one who calls it Loriken. Idk maybe you call it Seven Hearts or something. It is the same as that game except that when u can't play a card you get something disgusting like an old sock or a paper used to dry up something unidentifiable. The Lorik also gives u 20 points (bc u are supposed to have as little points as possible of you play with points.)

My mom had a treehouse like that when she was younger except that it was bigger, more rooms and some secret passages. I wish it was still there when I grew up as I've seen pictures and it was awesome. She called her treehouse Lothlórien. (Yeah she was a fan of Lord Of The Rings)
