Chapter 5
I put on my best clothes, the white, short sleeved, silk dress with a plain, pink jacket and pink flats that I can run in if wanted. I braided my hair into a side french braid with a matching pink ribbon. Before I went downstairs to meet up with Horace I took one last look in the mirror, my clothes all nice and ironed, with help from Emma of course. My hair curled to perfection, and my eyes bluer than ever. I took a deep breath then headed downstairs.
"Hi Emi, can you help me with something?" Enoch asked in the middle of the stairs,
"Oh, um I have something very important I have to get to," I said nervously, biting my lips, eager to get back to Horace, "Can't you ask someone else?"
"Really? You really think that I haven't asked? And I don't want anyone else to help me with my project, I want you!" Enoch whined,
"Sorry, I really have to go," I said, rushing past him,
I heard Enoch call my name but I didn't look back since I really need to meet up with Horace.
"Oh, um, hi Mia," Horace said, seeing me,
"Hey Horace," I mumbled, blushing, wait, why am I blushing, Emilia Laura O'Conner do not blush or be nervous.
"So, are you ready to go?" he asked, holding out his hand,
I smiled, "Of course," I took his hand, leaning on him, we walked out,

We've decided to go to a small restaurant in town, Melody, today, or should I say everyday in this loop weren't that busy. Though I suspect that it had something to do with all those people getting drafted to war.
"Ladies first, milady," Horace said in a over the top, fancy voice, while opening the door for me,
I giggled, and said in my own over the top, fancy voice, "Why thank you kind sir," then grabbing his hand, we walked in together,
The waiter who had light brown hair, almost white hair and a beard and was wearing a white uniform lead us to our table, said in an obviously fake French accent, "So what shall you two be having today?"
"I'll have the regular coffee and salad please," Horace said, "And the lady will have the..."
"Hot chocolate with extra marshmallows and the grilled cheese sandwich," I replied swiftly,
"You know what," Horace said, "I'll take a hot chocolate too," the waiter took our order and left, as soon as he left earshot, Horace and I burst out laughing, "That accent is so fake," I exclaimed, falling out of my chair.
Horace chuckled, I stood up and glared at him jokingly, "Gee thanks for helping me up," I said sarcastically, "You are such a gentleman,"
"I would've help you," Horace said, still laughing, "But..."
"But what?" I asked,
"But nothing, I was just laughing too hard," Horace said, joking, "And I just didn't want to,"
"Hey!" I shoved him playfully,
"Your food, monsieur and mademoiselle," the waiter said, interrupting us, he was giving us our meals,
"Thanks," I said politely, taking my plate and mug, "Mmmm," I took a sip out of the hot chocolate,
I heard a chuckle, "Um, Mia?" Horace said, trying to hid his smile,
"Yes," I said,
"You, um, got a hot chocolate mustache on your face,"
I tried wiping it of my face, but ended up smudging it all over, "Here," Horace said, "I'll get it," he took a paper napkin and wiped it off. I blushed as his fingers brushed over my cheek, his hand rested on my cheek for a couple of seconds,
"Attention everybody!" said a plump woman with dirty blonde, brown eyes, and a red face, she was wearing the waitress outfit, a sky blue dress with a white apron, "It is now two o'clock! " She said in a overly cheerful voice, "You know what that means! Ever hour on the dot we, as in the workers in Melody preforms a special song and dance!"
A row of women all wearing the same outfit, started over, and started harmonizing in unison, "Welcome to Melody, in Har-mon-y, I hope you're in a good mood, and hope you'll enjoy your food, at Me-lo-dyyyyyyyy!" Horace and I shuffled our chairs together facing their direction. We snuggled up close enjoying the show, he wrapped his arm around me and I rested my head on his shoulder. I smiled at him and he smiled back.
Once the show ended, and so we started with our lunch, and I grabbed my grilled cheese sandwich,
"So," Horace said,
I laughed, "So,"
"How was the show?"
"Interesting," I said, "Definitely very..... unique?"
He chuckled, "But it was quite fun to watch,"
I grabbed his hand from under the table, then grabbed my sandwich and took a bit, I sighed and closed my eyes, this is the best grilled cheese sandwich I've ever tasted.

After our lunch, we took a scenic trail on our way back to the house, we walked together, linking arms,
"Hey," Horace said, stopping me,
I turned, smiling, "Yeah?"
"Um, I was wondering," he said, nervously, "I know that we've been friends for a long time now, and I was wondering...."
My smile grew bigger, "Wondering what?"
"I was wondering," Horace continued, "If we could be more than just friends,"
"Like boyfriend and girlfriend?" I asked,
"Y-Yes?" Horace said, blushing, shuffling his feet,
I grinned, took a step closer, then kissed him, a big, full on the lips kiss, catching him off guard, after a second, he kissed back,
"Of course," I said, pulling him into another kiss,
Ta-da! So here is their first date! This was weirdly hard for me to write, there was so much I wanted to add in, but I guess I'll just save it for their second date! So how do you feel about Horace and Emilia finally admitting their feelings and becoming a couple?
XOXO, Victoria
