"So I love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you"~ Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

Japan, Tokyo:

"Have you every tasted sushi?" Akane asked, smiling broadly at Agnes.

Tokyo was an exceedingly beautiful city and energetic. People spoke  in impeccable Japanese, girls wore bright, childlike dresses.

"You know what, I actually never have," Agnes informed, occasionally looking around the city, realizing how alike every one of them looked.

"It's simply amazing!" Akane replied. "Do you want to try?"

"Sure, why not?"

"Alright. There's this really famous sushi restraunt here. We'll take you there," Takumi offered.

"Sure!"

Just then, Agnes noticed Jason. He was smiling at her, a rather devilish smile.

"What? Why are you smiling?"

"I'm a happy person, Agnes"

"Really, though, who are you even kidding?" Agnes said.

"None at all," he said, smiling. "Let's eat sushi"

Agnes eyed him suspiciously. "Alright, let's go."

They went into the famous sushi restaurant. The walls were red and orange in colour decorated with pictures of dragons, some Japanese people and pictures of menus written in Japanese.
The most wonderful sight that Jason and Agnes saw that had knocked at the doors of their mind to bewilder them was the centre of the room. The restaurant contained a huge revolving table with the chef right in the middle, making sushis with an immense speed and stabbing them on the plates like a knife on Julius Caesar.

The four of them sat at the revolving table.

"Just pick the sushi you like the best, alright?" Akane instructed.
Agnes nodded as she picked up a plate. Jason was still smiling, with his hands folded across his chest.

"Looks pretty," said she, looking at the sushi wrapped with red paste. They nodded. Agnes chewed onto the sushi. Jason took a deep breath and finally spoke.

"Agnes?"

"Yes?"

"You're a vegetarian correct?"

"Yes."

"Do you even know what these sushis are made up of?"

Agnes' eyes widened. WHAT IN THE WORLD DID I JUST EAT?

"Akane?"

"Sushi is.. fish's eggs.. Oh no, Agnes.. I didn't know.. I'm so sorry..."

But Agnes was already gone. She fled to the washroom, screaming, "OH MY GOD"

"Why didn't you tell her they don't sell vegetarian ones here, silly?" Akane rebuked, disappointed.

But he wasn't even listening. He was laughing so hard that he almost fell off the chair. It was impossible for him to control, making the entire crowd there metamorphose into an uncalled audience.

Then, Jason saw Agnes coming with her eyes shooting beams at him. He fled out of the restaurant. She followed him.

And on the streets of Japan, as a consequence of the craziness performed by Mr.Marbles, there was utter chaos and laughter. People seemed to look amused at the imbroglio situation in front of them.

Jason was laughing and running, with Agnes following him, screaming, "JASON MARBLES YOU'RE SO DEAD!"

"Come on, I'm sorry," Jason said, trying to convince Agnes who was now letting off steam.

"Bum chicki chicki bum bum. Agnes is cross, Jason's heart has gone for a toss.. Kabom! bum chiciki," Takumi and Akane sang. "doom, bum----"

"You should have told me! I ate fish's eggs," Agnes said to him, annoyed.

"Chicki chicki bum.. Agnes is isn't talking, Jason needs to stop her from walking---"

"You didn't exactly eat them. You threw up,"Jason tried to convince.

Agnes shot a look at him and continued walking away.

"Aw aw, Jason meant it as a joke but now his heart is broke.."

"Will you both shut up?" Agnes said, shooting beams. Akane and Takumi burst out laughing.

"Okay okay, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it," Jason said, guilty.

"Okay, well, then I have a condition," Agnes said, stopping and nodding.

"What condition?"

"Well, you will have to cook a vegetarian meal for me," she said.

Jason looked at her in surprise.

"And I'm serious," she added.

"Well okay, if that's what it means to calm you down.."

"So you liked anime huh?" Takumi smiled at Agnes.

Her eyes lit up. "You bet! I loved it as a teenager!"

Jason looked at them.

"Haven't you seen anime ever?" she asked.

He shrugged and shook his head.

"Don't worry, we are going to Eva mad which the official stop for anime lovers," Takumi said.

"And a stop for dresses too!" Akane chirped.

"Why don't you wear dresses?" Jason asked.

"I don't like them," she said, looking around. "They are too girly "

"You're a girl, Agnes."

"I know but.. Nevermind," she replied.

Just then her phone rang. Her face immediately softened. She pressed the receive button of her I phone.

"Dad...," she whispered, her features softening after the hearing her father's voice.

Jason looked at her. He realised how beautiful she was looking. Her hands were clasped, holding the phone as if it contained something so precious, so priceless that not even the greatest force on earth could've dared to snatch it away from her.

"Yes dad... Oh, it was beautiful.. Yes. I have... No, no everything is fine... Yes..."

Jason smiled at her. She had transformed into someting so beautiful now that she seemed like that piece of beauty that only a few have a luxury to watch. He realized that she shared an invincible bond with her father. She looked into the oblivion as if her father would emerge out of nowhere, like magic out a wardrobe. Gradually, she hung up.

"It was my father, Jason. He's the man whom I adore and love. He's the man who is beind the Fontaine industries, running it impeccably, but never forgetting to give his daughter her time. He's the man I'm proud of," she smiled.

He nodded, looking into her eyes. She stood there, looking back at his deep brown eyes, drooling for a moment.

"Don't stare at me like that, Agnes," he whispered after a while.

She looked at the ground.

"Or else you'll give away a lot of what you want to hide," he whispered and went away, after diving into the deep ocean of Agnes 's heart.

Jason tossed the rice in the air which landed back into the pan. He had a great affinity for cooking, just like the haemoglobin in our body has for carbon monoxide. And both, mind you, were a deadly combination.

Even if he was a vegetarian, he could do wonders with the dishes he had. Agnes stared at him in amazement. His sleeves were folded up to his elbows as he dressed the food. Then, he arranged them in neat plates and carried them towards her who was sitting at the table, gawking at the food.

Beautifully dressed salad, rice with red gravy, vegetables with brown baked onions, mocktail.

Even though Agnes had thirteen chefs at the mansion, she was amazed to see the skill with which Jason did the food.

"Try it?" Jason said.

She picked up her fork and took a bite. Then another and another.

"Mr.lecturer, I'm your fan!"

He laughed. "Thank you, cherry "

Then, he spotted something on the window sill.

"Hey.. You are writing a new book called.... In three hundred and sixty --"

Agnes choked and started coughing. He handed her a glass of water.

"Are you alright?" he asked, handing her a glass of water.

"Yeah," she said, slowly slipping the book away from behind.

"Jason?"

"Yeah?"

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"For.. For everything, really," she said. "Thank you for reading my books, for staying by my side and now this foo--"

"Hey, it was nothing," he smiled. "And the dessert's still left."

He brought a food item covered with a brown syrup.

"Hey! It's dark chocolate!" Agnes said, tasting it.

Jason laughed. "Indeed."

"Jeez, thank you so much!" she said, bending over to hug Jason and spilling the chocolate on their shirts.

And just like that, slowly and naturally the couple was blooming like a daisy after long, irresolute spells of winter. L
