16. I miss you, Fidel. Take care
"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you can appreciate them when they are right, you believe in lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself and good things fall apart so that better things can fall together"~ Marilyn Monroe

England, Wiltshire.
Agnes looked at the standing stones of Wiltshire popularly known as the "Stonehenge". They were arranged in a rather, as Agnes thought, weird manner- Each stone was in a pair with another stone and on top of them was another stone horizontally placed. It formed a shape of a somewhat incomplete rectangle.
"Stonehenge was a place of burial from its beginning to it's zenith in the mid third millennium B.C. The cremation burial dating to Stonehenge's sarsen stone phase is likely just one of the monument's use and demonstrates that it as still very much the domain of the dead," the guide said.
Jason looked around with utmost interest.
"A theory suggests that Stone Age people saw Stonehenge as a place with healing properties. In 2008, archaeologists Geoggrey Wainwright and Timothy Darvill reported that a large number of skeletons recovered from around Stonehenge showed signs of illness or injury. The archaeologists also reported discovering fragments of the Stonehenge bluestones — the first stones erected at the site — that had been chipped away by ancient people, perhaps to use as talismans for protective or healing purposes. "
"Wow," Agnes whispered.
"I know right," Akane replied.
Jason suddenly received a call.
"Hello? Oh , Fidel, yes. I'm on the way. I'm coming. Yes," he said and disconnected.
"Was that your sister?," Agnes asked.
"Yes, Cherry. And it slipped off my head that I had to meet her. We need to rush," he said.
"How can you forget to meet your sister? God, Jason.."
"You both have to come too," Jason said to Akane and Takumi.
"We can't," Takumi said.
"And why is that?," Agnes asked.
"Because...," Akane scratched her hair. "We have some work"
"Don't you lie"
"Sssh. Bye!" Takumi and Akane said in unison and ran towards the guide, laughing. Jason and Agnes sighed and walked towards their car, shaking their heads.

"I'm warning you though. She's crazy," Jason said, ringing the bell of his elder sister's door.
Agnes laughed. Siblings sure have a lot of fun.
Fidel's house was huge and beautiful from outside. She slowly opened the door. Agnes was awe-struck by her beauty. She was a tall, beautiful woman having green eyes and black shiny hair. Her figure was perfect- thin and slender. She was fair and welcoming.
"Oooh, you finally find someone bro," Fidel laughed, welcoming them inside.
"We are just friends, Fidel. I told you," Jason replied.
"Pretty girls like her aren't meant for being 'just friends' little brother," she smirked. Agnes laughed.
Jason sighed. "She is Agnes Fotaine, Fidel. We met in our tour. Years after college."
"Well hello Agnes," she said, hugging her. Agnes smiled.
"You own the Fotaine industries don't you?"
She nodded. "My dad does"
"So when did you get into a relationship with him?" Fidel asked. Agnes looked at her, surprised.
"Fidel!" Jason remarked. She laughed.
Agnes noticed her. She was dressed in a smart black top and white jeans. She remembered Jason telling her that Fidel was a fashion designer.
Fidel and Jason fought like kids- though it wasn't even serious. One could easily make out their little fights were nothing but love.
"So how is life in Ireland, Agnes?" she asked her.
"Oh it's great," Agnes smiled.
"Well, let me tell you one thing. Jason's life was boring. He was tired of the constant flirting of his students. But now that you're here, I'm sure you have changed it into something more happening. Not to mention, romantic"
Agnes blushed.
"Fidel! Stop embarrassing her!" Jason requested.
A bright spark shined through Fidel's eyes. She shuffled his soft brown hair.
"You know Agnes, when Jason was young he was like a military man. So disciplined and so clean! I wondered sometimes whether he was normal. He had a habit of folding his clothes and putting them into the laundry. One day it so happened he folded his good clothes and kept them for laundry. But the funniest part was, he came out of the washroom just like that, without clothes and when we asked him the reason, he said he had forgotten to wear them"
Agnes burst out laughing. Jason shook his head. Fidel laughed along.
"He was insane, believe me"
Agnes laughed- she found it hilarious. The bell rang. Jason rushed to open it. Fidel smiled.
"Thank you, Agnes," Fidel suddenly said.
"Why? What did I do?" Agnes asked, looking at her. She smiled.
"Jason is really happy you know? He's always so burdened between his duties- the business and his passion- teaching. But now, I see him happy. I see him calm and relaxed. He has always been patient with life enduring whatever it offered him. Today, I see him getting the reward"
Agnes smiled at her. "He made my life beautiful, Fidel. He was the mastermind behind the beauty"
"Would you do me a favour?" Fidel said, her tone low and loving.
"Yes, of course"
"Would you give this to Jason?" she said, extending her hand and giving it to her. Agnes nodded and took it from her.
They weren't those pair of siblings who openly showed their love. They were one of those who fought and laughed, and behind every word there was hidden love.
Jason entered again. "It was a parcel. I kept it on the table," said he.
They talked for a while and then it was time to leave. They bid their farewells and Fidel warmly embraced both of them.
Just as they were about to leave Jason did something that made Agnes smile and made her heart bloom to its core. He placed a small red box along with a small note on the table.
I miss you, Fidel. Take care.
Your little brother, Jason.

"Fidel gave this to you," Agnes said extending her hand and giving him the box.
"Thank you Cherry," he smiled.
Akane and Takumi entered the room.
"Dance practice," they said in unison. Agnes nodded
"May I have the honour to dance with you, Madame?" Jason said bowing and extending his hand. Agnes giggled and held his hand as they swirled around. She kept hitting Jason on his feet.
"Oh lord! I am so sorry Jason, I just cant do it," she apologised.
Don't worry, just concentrate," Jason laughed.
She thanked him as Akane and Takumi smiled.
"I m hungry," Agnes said.
Jason nodded. "So am I"
"And so are we," Akane and Takumi said in unison again.
"Let's order something"
"Don't worry, I'll cook," Jason said, walking towards the kitchenette. And within fifteen minutes the food was ready. Rice noodles.
"He's amazing," Akane said, impressed.
"Of course. After all, he's Agnes' boyfriend," Takumi laughed. Agnes shot him a look. She pressed the sauce bottle in her hand. It stained his shirt.
"Oops," she said. Takumi smirked and picked up the mustard bottle.
"Takumi don't you even think of it," Agnes warned.
Jason, unaware of the situation came from the kitchen counter and bend to keep his plate when Takumi spilled the sauce on his hair. Jason was shocked.
"FOOOODDD FIGHTTTT!," Akane screamed. Jason's eyelids dilated. He got up to leave but Agnes held his hand.
"Don't you think you can escape this, Mr.Lecturer"
And then, for the next thirty minutes food went flying in the room- the rice, the noodles, and the sauce. They laughed their lungs out. Finally, exhausted, they stopped.
"We'll clean up and be back," Takumi said, getting up. Agnes and Jason nodded as they left.
"Thank you for today, Jason. Thank you so much," Agnes smiled.
"Don't be silly. What did I do?," Jason smiled. He slowly pulled out the noodle from Agnes' hair.
Akane and Takumi returned in fifteen minutes. Their faces immediately broke into a smile. Jason and Agnes, all dirty with food were asleep- head to head on the sofa. They wrapped them in a blanket wished and their best friends a goodnight. Oh and not to forget, a romantic dream.
