" You have never acknowledged my existence, nor I yours. But you are a circus act all of your own and I cannot help but be your audience" ~ Cecelia Ahern, The Year I Met You.

Jason Marbles looked at his watch as he walked inside the airport. An hour early again. He stood with his hands in the air as the guards checked for any ammunition. The guard gave him a nod of approval and Jason went inside.

He ran his hand through his thick brown hair and pulled his suitcase as he walked towards the waiting area. There, he sat down, put on his glasses and began reading.

"Jason!"

Jason looked up from his book. Shoulder- length dark brown hair, black eyes, a sweet voice. She had worn a formal white shirt with a black skirt and no make up.

"Agnes?" Jason asked, surprised. "Hey! What are you up to these days?"

"Oh, just journalism. What about you? It's been so long," she smiled.

"Teaching psychology in the National college, that's all," he humbly replied.

Her jaw dropped. "You're Jason Marbles of the National college?"

He nodded his head.

"Oh God. You have no idea how popular you are. Everyone's crazy for you. Specially girls, I'm telling you!""

Jason looked amused. "Well, thank you."

"So nice to see you again," she said, extending her hand. He took it.

"Fotaine industries running well, I presume?"

"My dad's a champion."

Jason nodded. "And you just called me popular, though."

She smiled.

Flight no. 53440 , 5909, and 3446 passengers please ..

"My flight's here. See you soon, Mr. Lecturer," Agnes said, getting up.

"Sure," he said and they parted ways.

Agnes looked out of the window of her first-class flight, waiting for it to take off. Two japanese people entered the plane and sat behind her seat.

The truth was, the tour cost a fortune. Hardly anyone could afford the world tour of such luxury . But well, filthy rich people did exist, and she was one of them. After a minute, she felt someone sit beside her.

"You?" Jason looked at her in surprise. Agnes looked at him and smirked. Surely this trip would be fun.

"Welcome aboard Mr. lecturer," she said, grinning.

"Call me Jason"

And the flight took off. Agnes plugged her earphones in. Jason comforted himself with a book.

"You don't talk much," Agnes whispered, admiring his looks. His thick brown hair with his deep brown eyes. "Not changed a bit."

Their relationship traced back to their college days when they were friends, more like acquaintances; but there, known to each other, like each star is distanced but known.

"Apparently," he replied looking at her and smiling a little. Agnes shrugged.

"So you'll be so quiet the entire year, huh," she stated. He looked at her with amusement, wanting to say something, but chose to keep quiet.

"So you teach psychology?" she asked.

"Yes, I do"

"Mhm..."

"Konichiwa," they heard a voice from behind. They turned to find two japanese people smiling at them. One boy and a girl.

"I am Takumi Asahina and this is my sister, Akane Asahina," the boy said in his heavy japanese accent. The girl waved at them. Agnes smiled.

"Hi! I'm Agnes Fotaine and he's Jason Marbles," Jason nodded, smiling back at them.

LAre you both a couple?" Akane asked.

Agnes and Jason looked at each other in surprise.

"No!" they said in unison. "We just happen to know each other, that's all."

"Okay.. okay.."

"Hey, our first stop is...," Takumi said, searching the huge world map.

"Mount Warning, Wollumbin, Australia.," Agnes apprised him. "You're coming right?" she asked Jason. He shook his head.

"I'm bad at trekking. I'll go sight-seeing instead"

Agnes looked at him in disbelief but did not say anything. She remained quiet and looked out of the window at the white creamy clouds. After a long pause she said,

"You talk seriously less. How do you manage?"

"And you, a lot," Jason replied.

"Look, we're going for trekking, then beach, then some underwater something something in Queensland..."

"I told you, I'll pass trekking"

"Jason Marbles, you're coming to trek with us and that's final"

"But--"

"I didn't ask you. You're coming. No more arguments," was the final statement of Agnes before she plugged the earphones back into her ears. Jason shrugged. This was definitely going to be a long trip. Longer than he presumed anyway.

The "National college" of Ireland is a fictional thing. If, by any means, there happens to be some college like that in Ireland then it is a coincidence. The story is fictional.
